Texans agreed to terms with OL Zach Fulton, formerly of the Chiefs.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the deal will pay him $7.5 million annually. Fulton played multiple positions along the line in KC but the Texans are expected to use him exclusively at center. He should be a solid upgrade on last year's starter Nick Martin, who earned PFF's No. 33 center grade out of 38 qualifiers in 2017. Mar 14 - 10:30 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Texans are the "favorites" for free agent OL Zach Fulton.

Rapoport adds Fulton is expected to land more than $7 million per year to be the Texans' center. Houston really needs more help at guard, where Fulton played for the Chiefs, but perhaps they plan to move 2016 second-round C Nick Martin. Houston also needs help at tackle.

ESPN Chiefs reporter Adam Teicher predicts sixth-round G Zach Fulton will be the Week 1 starter at right guard.

Fulton started camp rotating with Rishaw Johnson, but is now almost exclusively running with the first team. At 6-5/316, Fulton has the size to be a force in the running game. The Chiefs' line should shake out as LT Eric Fisher, LG Jeff Allen, C Rodney Hudson, RG Zach Fulton and RT Donald Stephenson. We still love Jamaal Charles, mind you, but this is shaping up as a fairly concerning group.

Sixth-round pick Zach Fulton is a candidate for the Chiefs' right guard job.

Fulton split first-team reps with Jeff Linkenbach and Rishaw Johnson during OTAs. At 6'5/316, he has mauler potential and good arm length (33 1/4") for pass protection. The Chiefs believe Fulton is capable of being a Week 1 starter.

Chiefs signed No. 193 overall pick OG Zach Fulton to a four-year contract.

A 40-game starter at right guard for Tennessee, Fulton was a plus run-blocker who held his own in the passing game. He has a decent shot at nailing down a 53-man roster spot as a reserve interior lineman.

Chiefs selected Tennessee G Zach Fulton with the No. 193 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

Fulton (6-foot-4 5/8, 316) made 40 starts for the Vols, all at right guard. Although he needs to get stronger (25 bench reps), Fulton has mauler potential in the run game with a powerful profile, and was not a deficient pass protector in the SEC. He has plus arm length for a guard (33 1/4"). Fulton figures to open his NFL career as a reserve, but has a shot to develop into a starter.
