Cardinals waived/released G Jon Halapio, LB Gabe Martin, WR Trevor Harman, CB Jonte Green, DB Cariel Brooks, T Cameron Bradfield, G Antoine McClain, CB C.J. Roberts, WR Jaxon Shipley, QB Philip Sims, G/C Anthony Steen, S Anthony Walters and RB Kerwynn Williams.
A 2014 sixth-round pick of the Patriots, Halapio has not been waived by three teams. Not finding a role in the Cardinals' offensive line is not a great sign for his NFL future. The Cardinals are now at the 53-man roster limit. Sat, Sep 5, 2015 07:12:00 PM

Broncos waived OG Jon Halapio.

A 2014 sixth-round pick of the Patriots, Halapio was signed to Denver's practice squad late last season. Theoretically a mauling power blocker, Halapio was never going to mesh well with Gary Kubiak's zone-blocking scheme.

Patriots waived OG Jon Halapio.

The 179th pick in May's draft, Halapio underwhelmed in the preseason and training camp practices. He'll likely be a prime practice squad candidate.

Patriots signed No. 179 overall pick OG Jon Halapio to a four-year contract.

Halapio (6-foot-3, 323 pounds) made 43 starts for Florida, all at right guard. That included 10 games as a senior despite playing through a partially torn pectoral muscle. An old-fashioned mauler, Halapio isn't much of an athlete (5.34 forty, 8-foot-4 broad jump) but clears alleys in the run game, and has adequate arm length (33 5/8") to be a competitive NFL pass blocker.

Patriots selected Florida G Jon Halapio with the No. 179 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

Halapio (6-foot-3 1/2, 323) started 43 games for the Gators, all at right guard. He showed supreme toughness as a senior, making ten starts despite playing through a partially torn pectoral muscle. An old-fashioned road-grading mauler, Halapio isn't much of an athlete (5.34 forty, 8-foot-4 broad jump) but clears alleys in the run game and has adequate arm length (33 5/8") to be a competitive NFL pass blocker.
