Packers C Corey Linsley exited Week 11 with an ankle injury.
Linsley suffered the injury on the first drive of the game. He had the ankle taped on the sideline and kept his helmet with him, but J.C. Tretter opened the second drive at center. Linsley is officially questionable to return. Sun, Nov 22, 2015 05:02:00 PM

The Packers are likely to keep rookie Corey Linsley at center even when J.C. Tretter (knee) returns to action.

Tretter is eligible to practice Monday, and can return in Week 10. He may not have a job when he gets back. A top-ten center per Pro Football Focus through his first five NFL starts, Linsley has earned a lot of respect from coach Mike McCarthy. "I will say this: If things keep going the way they're going, I think we’ll look back on this start as probably one of the most impressive situations that a young player has stepped up and performed in my time here," McCarthy said. "And we've had a lot of guys step up."

Packers signed No. 161 overall pick C Corey Linsley to a four-year contract.

An All-Big 10 selection as a senior, Linsley (6-foot-3, 296 pounds) showed impressive athleticism at his Pro Day, clocking a 5.03 40-yard dash to go along with an 8-foot-11 broad jump and 27-inch vertical. Although he's under-sized, Linsley could develop into a quality zone-scheme center. He needs to bulk up.

Packers selected Ohio State C Corey Linsley with the No. 161 overall pick in the NFL draft.

Linsley (6-foot-2 5/8, 296) made 26 starts for the Buckeyes, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior, blocking for Carlos Hyde. Showing plus athleticism, he ran 5.03 at OSU's Pro Day, with an 8-foot-11 broad jump and 27-inch vertical. An undersized overachiever with "heavy hands," Linsley could develop into a quality zone-scheme center once he gets stronger and exceeds 300 pounds. He'll challenge J.C. Tretter for snaps as a rookie, though Tretter is the pretty clear favorite to start.
