Falcons agreed to terms with K Matt Bryant on a four-year contract.

Bryant is coming off a career year, drilling 28-of-31 (90.3 percent) field goals. He finished as a top-five fantasy kicker and should be among the first handful drafted again this year.

The Falcons made it known before the lockout that they would like to re-sign free agent K Matt Bryant.

Bryant's preference is to return to Atlanta, so the sides have a good chance of reaching a deal after the lockout is lifted. The Falcons did draft Matt Bosher in the sixth round, but he's expected to be used primarily as a punter.

Bryant missed an extra point last week and a 47-yarder against the Patriots the week before. Despite beating out Steven Hauschka, Bryant remains on a short leash.

The Falcons' release of Steven Hauschka confirms that Matt Bryant has won their starting kicker job.

Bryant has never been very accurate, but will be kicking in a dome and for what projects to be a high-scoring offense. He's worth a look in fantasy.

The Falcons are set to work out University of Guelph K Rob Maver, the fifth overall pick of last weekend's CFL draft.

Guelph, also known as "U of G," is in Ontario. Maver is already negotiating with the Calgary Stampeders, but he'll take his shot at the NFL before he signs. The Falcons had already worked out three kickers in February, so Matt Bryant will have to fend off competition to keep the job.

Falcons worked out CFL kickers Damon Duval, Sandro DeAngelis, and Justin Medlock on Tuesday.

Duval has turned down NFL opportunities in the past, but the Falcons are reportedly set to make him a contract offer. They have holdovers Matt Bryant and Steve Hauschka in the mix as well.

Falcons coach Mike Smith insinuated that Matt Bryant will be his kicker in 2010.

Bryant was picked up by the Falcons in Week 13 and made 7-of-10 field goals. He's under contract through next season, but ex-Raven Steve Hauschka is in the mix as well.

Atlanta signed Steven Hauschka for insurance this week, but Bryant was able to return to practice Thursday. With Hauschka inactive, Bryant is a relatively safe fantasy play.

The Falcons are in the market for a kicker once again. Nick Folk is available, as is Paul Edinger, who the Falcons worked out after dumping Jason Elam.

Punter Michael Koenen is out with a head injury, so DE Kroy Biermann could be forced into action late in the game. Bryant was able to convert an extra point after suffering the injury.

Falcons signed K Matt Bryant.

Bryant is a quality NFL kicker. He lost a competition with Mike Nugent at Bucs camp this summer because of a hamstring injury. He will kick in a dome, but let's see how Chris Redman handles the Falcons offense before we recommend Bryant as a fantasy kicker.

Free agent K Matt Bryant has a tryout for the Cardinals on Saturday.

Bryant also has a tentative tryout lined up with the Falcons, who may be on their last nerves with Jason Elam. Elam has hit just 10-of-16 field goal attempts this season. Bryant was the kicker for the UFL's Florida Tuskers, who just lost in the championship to the Las Vegas Locos.

The player rep for free agent K Matt Bryant said he would not be signing with the Giants on Tuesday.

Lawrences Tynes job is safe -- for now. Bryant was not among those trying out for the Bucs, so he'll likely remain unemployed for another week.
