The Broncos have moved Juwan Thompson to fullback.
Thompson was buried behind C.J. Anderson, Devontae Booker, and Ronnie Hillman on the depth chart. The move to fullback is his only chance to keep his spot. Thompson needs to hold off rookie Andy Janovich. Jun 11 - 6:02 PM

Broncos declared RB Juwan Thompson, QB Trevor Siemian, S Lorenzo Doss, DB Taurean Nixon, DL Darius Kilgo, G/C Sam Brenner, and OG Robert Myers inactive for Super Bowl 50.

With Thompson in street clothes, the Broncos' only active tailbacks versus Carolina will be Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson. Thompson is an impending restricted free agent and probably 50:50 to return to the Broncos in 2016.

Broncos declared RB Juwan Thompson, QB Trevor Siemian, S Shiloh Keo, CB Lorenzo Doss, C Sam Brenner, OG Robert Myers, and NT Darius Kilgo inactive for the Divisional Round against the Steelers.

Nobody stands out. Brock Osweiler (shoulder) is active as Peyton Manning's backup.

Juwan Thompson rushed five times for eight yards and caught 4-of-6 targets for 21 yards in the Broncos' Week 14 loss to the Raiders.

Thompson operated as the Broncos' ineffective No. 2 back behind Ronnie Hillman, who also struggled on 19 touches. Denver needs C.J. Anderson to get his ankle right in the worst way ahead of a Week 15 date with the Steelers.

Speaking Thursday, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said Juwan Thompson could start at running back against the Raiders.

The Broncos' backfield drama has officially become a three-man play. Kubiak made the disclosure as Ronnie Hillman (foot) and C.J. Anderson (ankle) struggle to practice, though he said both backs should be "full" on Friday. It's quickly shaping up as a situation to avoid for the first week of the fantasy playoffs. If Thompson does "start" but Hillman and Anderson are both active, he won't be on the FLEX radar.

Broncos RB Juwan Thompson rushed eight times for 27 yards in Sunday's Week 13 win over the Chargers, adding a 14-yard reception.

As C.J. Anderson (ankle) left early and did not return, the Broncos upped Thompson's usage as their No. 2 back behind Ronnie Hillman. Hillman finished with 19 touches compared to Thompson's 9. Should Anderson's injury prove a multi-week ordeal, Thompson will be worth grabbing in most fantasy leagues.

Juwan Thompson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 6.

Thompson isn’t expected to play after not practicing this week. The Broncos will likely promote Kapri Bibbs from the practice squad.

The Denver Post's Troy Renck reported the expectation is Broncos RB Juwan Thompson did not suffer a serious neck injury Week 3 against the Lions.

Thompson was forced to leave the game after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit in the second quarter. He never returned. Thompson is the Broncos' No. 3 running back behind C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman.

Juwan Thompson exited Sunday night's Week 3 game against the Lions with a neck injury.

He's done for the game. Thompson took a helmet-to-helmet hit on a goal-line carry in the second quarter. It's possible he could be looking at a multi-week absence. Thompson had 11 yards on three carries.

Broncos RB Juwan Thompson managed 12 yards on eight carries and caught an 18-yard pass in Denver's preseason opener against Seattle.

More disappointing than Thompson's weak per-carry average was his involvement from a depth chart standpoint; he worked as the clear No. 4 running back behind C.J. Anderson, Montee Ball, and Ronnie Hillman. Beat writer Mike Klis reported very early in camp that Thompson was challenging Ball to be No. 2 on the depth chart. That dream appears to be on hold, at least for now.

Second-year RB Juwan Thompson is reportedly challenging for the Broncos' No. 2 running back job.

Thompson averaged 5.0 yards on 54 carries as an undrafted rookie out of Duke last season, scoring three touchdowns. He's reportedly putting heat on Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman behind C.J. Anderson. "Forty (Thompson's number) looked unbelievable today," coach Gary Kubiak said after Saturday's practice. "He's built for what we do." It's time to add Thompson in all Dynasty leagues and put him on the re-draft sleeper radar.

Juwan Thompson (hip, knee) returned to Broncos practice on Friday.

The Broncos play Monday night, so they won't announce injury statuses until Saturday. But Thompson looks on track to back up C.J. Anderson against the Bengals. His workload is unclear with Ronnie Hillman possibly returning.

Juwan Thompson (hip, knee) was sidelined Thursday.

Thompson's status for Monday Night Football appears uncertain. If he can't go, Ronnie Hillman (foot) may finally be ready to return as C.J. Anderson's backup.

Juwan Thompson rushed four times for 14 yards in Sunday's Week 15 win at San Diego.

Thompson oddly lost two breather back carries to Jeremy Stewart. Regardless, no one is unseating C.J. Anderson, who piled up 29 more carries Sunday. Thompson will be fighting with Ronnie Hillman for scraps in Week 16.
Sun, Dec 14, 2014 07:58:00 PM

Juwan Thompson rushed four times for 63 yards and caught one pass for 14 yards in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Bills.

With C.J. Anderson rolling his ankle a couple times, Thompson got a few more chances than expected. He made the most of them by showing serious burst for a player that goes 225 pounds. Thompson is the handcuff to Anderson until Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball return from injury. They are both more week to week than day to day.
