Bears signed K Cody Parkey, formerly of the Dolphins.
It's a much-needed upgrade for the Bears, who struggled with inconsistency at kicker last year. Parkey is coming off a career year in Miami that saw him convert 91.3 percent of his attempts with a long of 54 yards. Undrafted out of Auburn in 2014, this will be Parkey's fourth team in as many years. Mar 13 - 12:29 PM

The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs reports free agent Cody Parkey is the Bears' "top target" at kicker.

The Bears cycled through multiple kickers last season, including Mike Nugent, Connor Barth, and Cairo Santos. They'd like to stabilize the position with Parkey. Parkey went 21-of-23 on field goals for Miami last season.

Dolphins claimed K Cody Parkey off waivers from the Browns.

Parkey could not beat out Zane Gonzalez in Cleveland, but the Dolphins apparently see him as a better option than Andrew Franks. Franks missed a field goal this preseason, but he was perfect on 11 extra point attempts. Parkey was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts and 3-for-3 on PATs.

Browns waived K Cody Parkey.

Coming off a shaky season, Parkey didn't show enough to keep his job. Zane Gonzalez will open the season as Cleveland's kicker.

Browns signed K Cody Parkey.

This means the knee injury Patrick Murray suffered in Friday's walkthrough will likely keep him out of Sunday's game. The Browns are vying with the Colts to be the most injury-bitten team in the league.

The Browns are expected to sign free agent K Cody Parkey.

He'll be replacing Patrick Murray, who injured himself at practice this week. Parkey missed most of last season with a groin injury and was among the Eagles' final cuts this summer. He's made 35-of-40 field goals for his career with a long of 54 yards.

Eagles waived/released K Cody Parkey, QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, LB Don Cherry, S Blake Countess, DT Bruce Gaston, LB Quentin Gause, LB Najee Goode, G Darrell Greene, WR Marcus Johnson, C Barrett Jones, WR Cayleb Jones, RB Byron Marshall, TE M.J. McFarland, DE Jake Metz, RB Cedric O'Neal, TE Chris Pantale, S Ed Reynolds, CB JaCorey Shepherd, DT Aziz Shittu, LB Myke Tavarres, and WR David Watford.

Parkey converted 32-of-36 field goals as a rookie, but he missed most of last season with a groin injury. He should get another shot somewhere. With Parkey gone, Caleb Sturgis has won the kicking battle. The Eagles have now reached the 53-man roster limit.

Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advanced Media listed Cody Parkey as the Eagles' starting kicker in his latest roster projections.

CSN Philly's Dave Zangaro previously reported that Caleb Sturgis had a "slight edge" over Parkey, so there's either a difference of opinion among beat reporters or Parkey has made up ground in the last month. Parkey missed most of last season with a torn groin but was excellent as a rookie in 2014. The battle for the Eagles' starting kicker job should go down to the wire.

Eagles K Cody Parkey (injured reserve) says he tore "all three" muscles in his groin.

Nevertheless, Parkey does not need surgery. He expects to return as the Eagles' kicker in 2016. We expect him to be back, as well.

Eagles placed K Cody Parkey on injured reserve with a groin injury, ending his season.

Parkey kicked through the injury in Sunday's win over the Jets, but that apparently wouldn't be an option going forward. The owner of a career 87.5 field goal percentage, Parkey has a big leg, and is accurate. Still only 23, he should return as Philly's kicker in 2016. Caleb Sturgis will kick for the rest of 2015.

Eagles K Cody Parkey aggravated his groin injury Week 3 against the Jets.

The Eagles are bringing in former Chargers K Nick Novak and others for workouts on Monday, suggesting the injury could be a concern. Parkey will have an MRI on Monday. Parkey is 3-of-4 on field goals this season and has hit all seven extra point attempts.

Coach Chip Kelly said it's not time to "push the panic button" on K Cody Parkey.

Parkey had an up-and-down preseason, missing two field goals, and then missed the potential game-winner on Monday night against the Falcons. He ended last season 3-of-5, so Parkey's been in a funk for a while. The Eagles will stick with him, keeping him an elite fantasy option because of the high-pace offense.

Cody Parkey went 3-of-4 on field goals Monday night, including the game-winner as time expired.

Parkey started off shaky by hooking 38-yarder in the first quarter, but rebounded nicely. The rookie had to hit the game-winner from 36 yards out twice because the Colts called timeout just before the kick to ice him. With the Eagles' red-zone offense sputtering and Parkey at 5-of-6 on the year, he is establishing himself as a weekly top-12 fantasy option.

Cody Parkey went 2-of-2 on field goals in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Jaguars.

Parkey's first field-goal was a pressure-packed 51-yarder in the fourth quarter that tied the game at 17. He later added a 28-yarder. Tack this on to a 5-of-5 performance in the preseason that included two 50-plus bombs and we have the makings of a weekly fantasy play. Parkey will be a fine option at Indy in Week 2.

Eagles K Cody Parkey went 5-of-6 from 40-49 yards at Auburn last year.

Parkey didn't come out of nowhere to unseat Alex Henery. He was the No. 1 kicker in the country coming out of high school, led the NCAA in touchbacks last year and went 5-of-5 in the preseason -- including two 50-plus bombs. Parkey will be a fine streaming option for fantasy owners against the Jags in Week 1.
