Taylor Pyatt scored in New York's 3-2 loss to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.

He now has two goals and two assists during his current four-game scoring streak. In 46 matches this year, Pyatt has 10 points so by his standards this qualifies as red hot. Still, we don't think you should pick him up down the stretch.

Taylor Pyatt scored a goal in the Rangers' 4-1 win against the Devils.

Pyatt is now on a modest three-game point streak. He has five goals and four assists in 45 games this season.

Taylor Pyatt has acquitted himself well on the Rangers' second line since Ryan Callahan went down due to injury.

He picked up two assists in New York's 3-2 win over Tampa Bay Saturday. "I think when I'm able to get to the puck and use my size and protect it and give myself a little extra time to make a play, that's when I'm usually at the top of my game," said Pyatt. He has generated five points in eight games after spending the last three seasons with Phoenix. His fantasy value is still very limited, but he could prove to be one of the better under-the-radar signings by the end of the year.
Feb 5 - 9:14 AM

Taylor Pyatt skated on New York's second line at practice Wednesday.

He skated alongside Derek Stepan and Carl Hagelin due to captain Ryan Callahan's shoulder injury, which is expected to keep out of action for 10 to 14 days. Pyatt has scored three times on just eight shots in six games this campaign.
Jan 31 - 10:59 AM

Taylor Pyatt scored the lone goal for the Rangers in a 2-1 loss to Philadelphia Thursday.

Pyatt has actually been a dynamic player early in the season with three goals in four contests. This marker was assisted by Marian Gaborik and if Pyatt can continue to play with such a prolific line mate his chances of sustaining his success rise dramatically.

The Rangers' new grinders have important responsibilities this season.

Rick Nash's addition has taken all the spotlight, but the Rangers added bottom-six players Taylor Pyatt, Jeff Halpern and Arron Asham who are just as crucial to the team's success, too. "If you want to go far, you need a deep group, guys who accept their roles and work hard," Brian Boyle said. "We lost guys I have a lot of respect for, but they’re gone. The guys we have now, they’ve gone far in the playoffs already. Pyatt went as far as we went last year (with Phoenix). Halpern is so competitive, even in these informal skates. We all want to be on the first line, but these are guys who work and do whatever the team needs them to do. And that’s what you want."

The New York Rangers added a physical, versatile forward in Taylor Pyatt with a two-year contract.

Darren Dreger reports that his cap hit is $1.55 million, making it a $3.1 million deal overall. Pyatt is the type of physical specimen who bothers some because he doesn't quite "put it all together," but he could fit in very well in John Tortorella's demanding, physical system.

Taylor Pyatt had a big night, but it wasn't enough as the Phoenix Coyotes lost 4-3 in OT as the Los Angeles Kings won the series 4-1.

Pyatt had a goal and an assist in the losing effort. Keith Yandle and Marc-Antoine Pouliot were the Coyotes other goal scorers, but Pyatt was the only player with more than one point. Kyle Chipchura, Martin Hanzal, Rostislav Klesla and Radim Vrbata collected one helper apiece. Shane Doan had a -1 rating and zero points but also had five shots on goal, six hits and 10 penalty minutes.

With three goals and four points in nine playoff games, Taylor Pyatt has bounced back after missing a healthy chunk of March with an upper-body injury.

Pyatt had just nine goals and 19 points in 73 regular season games. "I knew that if I got my confidence back and got in the playoffs, I could help this team," Pyatt said. He's certainly done that, with three of the four goals he's been involved in being scored in one-goal victories.

Taylor Pyatt found the back of the net on Sunday.

Pyatt now has three goals and four points in eight playoff games. That's pretty impressive for a player that had just nine goals and 19 points in 73 regular season contests. Pyatt has also contributed defensively with 24 hits and 12 blocked shots in the postseason.

Taylor Pyatt scored on Thursday for the third time in the last two games.

This is amazing since he had only five goals in the first 74 games this season. While he is hot, don't expect a lot more in the playoffs.

Taylor Pyatt scored twice to lead the Coyotes to a 4-1 win over the Wild Saturday night.

It was certainly Pyatt's most prolific scoring game of the season as he only had seven goals in 72 games before this evening's season finale. For his efforts, Pyatt was selected as the contest's fist star. Michal Rozsival registered two assists, while Radim Vrabta scored his team-leading 35th goal of the campaign. Mikkel Boedker scored the other Phoenix goal in the victory.

He should be considered day-to-day for now. Pyatt has 16 points and 133 hits in 70 games this year.
