The Nurnberg Ice Tigers of Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga has signed Steve Reinprecht.
He played in 62 AHL games last season between San Antonio and Chicago. In 2010-11, Reinprecht skated in 18 contests with the Mannheim Eagles, so he is familiar with hockey in Germany. Wed, Sep 26, 2012 02:21:00 PM

Steve Reinprecht could join Vancouver once the playoffs start.

If the Canucks tried to bring him up before the end of the regular season, they would risk losing him on waivers. Instead, they will leave him in the AHL, where he as registered 32 point in 44 games, until the season comes to a close. We don't believe Reinprecht will make much of a fantasy impact to warrant selecting him in playoff pools.

Steven Reinprecht was acquired by the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.

Reinprecht joins David Booth in Vancouver after playing for the Panthers. Reinprecht has 663 career NHL games but is getting up there in age. He will likely just be a depth player for Vancouver at this point. He was in the minors at the time of the deal and will head to Vancouver's AHL squad as well.

The Florida Panthers assigned center Steve Reinprecht to San Antonio of the AHL.

The 35-year-old Reinprecht was placed on waivers Sept. 26 and cleared waivers Sept. 29. He was 4-6-10 in 29 games last season with Florida and ended the season playing in Germany.

Steve Reinprecht is still with the Panthers after clearing waivers on Tuesday.

He skated at practice Wednesday and may suit up in Thursday's exhibition game versus Dallas. GM Dale Tallon said on Tuesday that he is trying to find another NHL team to acquire Reinprecht, but there may not be many takers.

Steve Reinprecht has been placed on waivers by the Florida Panthers.

Reinprecht had four goals and 10 points in 29 games with the Panthers last season. He comes with a $2,050,000 cap hit, so we expect him to clear waivers.

Steve Reinprecht is back with the Florida Panthers at training camp.

"It was a difficult year," said Reinprecht referring to last season when he was waived and ended up being loaned to the Adler Mannheim Eagles in Germany. "There's nothing I could do to change that, so now I'll try to use that to fuel me because I believe I could still play in the NHL and want to prove that." He has one year remaining on his contract for $2.08 million and a $2.05 million cap hit. Reinprecht will likely be hard pressed to earn a roster spot on the Panthers.

Steve Reinprecht has reportedly been loaned to Adler Mannheim Eagles in the German Hockey League.

The Panthers were obviously unable to find a trading partner for the 34-year-old veteran after he cleared waivers, but now he will be able to carry out his playing career in Europe rather than in the minors.

Steve Reinprecht cleared waivers on Saturday and the Panthers are still contemplating what to do with him.

They have been trying to work out a trade for him, but with another year left on the 34-year-old's contract that may not be a likely scenario. Reinprecht may be demoted to the minors shortly or he could end up in Europe should Florida allow his agent to seek a deal overseas.

The Panthers are making every effort to trade Steven Reinprecht.

The veteran center was waived Thursday to accomodate a number of returning injured players. If no team claims Reinprecht off waivers by Monday noon and Panthers' GM Dale Tallon is not sucessful in trading him, Reinprecht will likely report to Rochester of the AHL. Needless to say, he has no fantasy value.

Steve Reinprecht has been placed on waivers by the Florida Panthers.

Reinprecht has four goals and 10 points in 29 games this season. He comes with a $2.05 million cap hit, so we doubt anyone will claim him.

Steven Reinprecht scored the lone goal for Florida as they fell 3-1 to Boston on Wednesday.

The goal, Reinprecht’s fourth of the season, was assisted by Michal Repik and Dennis Wideman. The Panthers have been plagued by inconsistencies on offense, tonight no exception. If Florida does not become more consistent in goal scoring, look for some line changes.

Steve Reinprecht (groin) is projected to return to the Panthers' lineup Wednesday.

Reinprecht was sidelined for two straight games due to the ailment. He has three goals and two assists in 14 games this season.

Steve Reinprecht did not play on Saturday due to a groin injury.

He should be considered day-to-day at this time. Reinprecht has five points in 14 games this season, so he absence should not have impacted many fantasy rosters.

Steve Reinprecht scored a goal in his first game of the season on Saturday.

Reinprecht was a healthy scratch for the Panthers’ first three games of the season, but drew back into the lineup on Saturday and made the most of the opportunity, saying "It`s nice to get in because as a player, it`s tough to sit out and watch. You want to contribute." The veteran center clearly isn`t a large part of the team`s plans and has minimal fantasy value.
