New Jersey has announced that Ruslan Fedotenko has been released from his pro tryout agreement.

Ruslan Fedotenko exited Monday's game during the second period with an apparent shoulder injury.

He was not able to return to the game after getting hit into the boards by Montreal rookie Alex Galchenyuk. Fedotenko's night ended after he had a minus-3 rating and three shots in his 16:45 of ice time. Consider him day-to-day with an upper-body injury for now.

Ruslan Fedotenko has scored just one goal this year and he hasn't tickled the twine in his last 25 appearances.

Philadelphia teammate Sean Couturier owns the next longest goal slump on the team at 22 straight games. Interestingly, Fedotenko is the only forward on the club who owns a plus rating this campaign.
