The Tampa Bay Lightning have sent Sebastien Caron, a pair of second-round picks, and a third-round selection to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Kyle Wilson, Anders Lindback, and a seventh-round draft pick.
The centerpiece of this deal from the Predators perspective is the picks rather than Caron. He's scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer and it wouldn't be surprising if Nashville simply let him walk. Fri, Jun 15, 2012 04:25:00 PM

Sebastien Caron was the first goalie off the ice on Wednesday morning, indicating he'll get the nod in his home province of Quebec against the Canadiens.

If he does get the call it will mark his second start with the Lighting since joining the team in mid-March. Caron made 26 stops in a 3-2 overtime win over Winnipeg in his last outing.

Sebastien Caron will probably start in one of Tampa Bay's final three games.

The Lightning signed Caron to a one-year deal on March 19th. He has a 1.61 GAA and .938 save percentage in two games this season.

Sebastien Caron made 26 saves on 28 shots in a 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.

It was the journeyman goaltenders' first win of the season. Caron may be one and done so don't invest anything in him at this point.

Sebastien Caron will start in Saturday's game.

It will be Caron's first NHL start since Nov. 10, 2006. He inked a one-year deal with Tampa Bay on March 19th.

With Dwayne Roloson scheduled to start Monday against Philadelphia, Sebastien Caron will make his Tampa Bay debut versus Boston on Tuesday night.

Caron was signed by the Lightning last week to help fill in between the pipes after Mathieu Garon was injured. He hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since the 2006-07 season when he played in two games with Chicago and Anaheim.

Sebastien Caron will probably get his first start with the Lightning shortly, with the team set to open the week with back-to-back games.

Tampa Bay plays in Philadelphia on Monday and at Boston on Tuesday, so Caron will face a stiff test no matter which team he matches up against. He is hoping to use the remainder of the regular season as a tryout to earn a contract for next year.

Sebastien Caron practiced with the Lightning on Tuesday after clearing waivers.

Caron was signed to a one-year deal by Tampa Bay on Monday. The goalie was playing in the Germany. Before a player in Europe can join an NHL club in-season, that player must clear waivers. With Dustin Tokarski assigned to Norfolk and Mathieu Garon injured, Caron and Dwayne Roloson are Tampa Bay’s active goalies.

Sebastien Caron has officially agreed to a one-year, one-way contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Lightning were forced to place Caron on waivers before he can play with them. They will find out if he cleared Tuesday afternoon. He has a 3.45 GAA and .892 save percentage in 92 career NHL games and hasn't played with an NHL squad since 2006-07.

Sebastien Caron has reportedly signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

An official announcement is expected to arrive on Monday after Caron clears waivers. He spent the 2011-12 season with the Iserlohn Roosters in Germany, where he posted a 25-23-0 record with a 2.57 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage. Caron hasn't been in the NHL since 2006-07 when he was a member of the Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks.

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Sebastien Caron to a pro-rated $500,000, one-year contract.

Caron, who has not played in the NHL since 2006-07, had been playing in the Swedish Elite League. Assuming he clears waivers, Caron might play in Friday's game against Montreal as the Flyers desperately try to find a solution to their goaltending woes. Brian Boucher left plenty to be desired in Philadelphia's 6-4 loss to the New York Islanders on Thursday. Because Caron was signed after the March 3rd trade deadline, he is not eligible to participate in the postseason.

The Anaheim Mighty Ducks have sent goaltender Sebastien Caron back to the minors.

Caron had missed the last two weeks with a broken finger and is now healthy enough to return to the minors. He was acquired in late December with the injuries at the time to both Jean-Sebastien Giguere and Ilya Bryzgalov, but both are now healthy and Caron has been sent to Portland of the AHL. He has no fantasy value.
