Erik Cole (upper body) returned to action Saturday.
Cole missed seven games with the upper body injury and played 13:22 minutes with 4:27 coming on the power play in a 5-2 win. He was pointless and has 16 goals and 29 points in 61 games this season. Put him back in your lineup if you normally would. Apr 6 - 2:35 AM

Erik Cole (upper body) is considered a game-time decision on Saturday.

Cole has been out for seven consecutive contests. He has 16 goals and 29 points in 60 games this season.
Apr 5 - 1:24 PM

Erik Cole (upper body) might not be able to play Saturday.

"That is a tough one. We're hopeful, but I don't know. I don't know," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. "He's working hard trying to fight through it, but he hasn't been through a real practice." Cole did skate with the Stars on Friday, although Ruff didn't want to term it as a true practice. He hasn't played since March 20.
Apr 4 - 5:51 PM

Erik Cole (upper body) will travel with the Stars, but he isn't expected to play Tuesday night.

"He's going to join us on the road trip," coach Lindy Ruff said. "He's still day to day, but he's progressing." Cole has already missed five games due to an upper-body injury.
Apr 1 - 9:03 AM

It doesn't sound like Erik Cole (upper body) will be available to play on Friday or Saturday.

"We're hopeful that we get past these (next) two games, but the longer it goes without practice and exercising, the tougher it is going to be for him to get back in immediately," coach Lindy Ruff said of Cole's status. "And if he gets in immediately, how effective can he be without practice time?" Cole has already missed two games with an upper-body injury and he didn't take part in Thursday's session.
Mar 28 - 9:52 AM

Erik Cole missed Saturday's game with an upper-body injury.

As a result his streak of 269 consecutive games played came to an end. Cole is listed as day-to-day. He has 16 goals and 29 points in 69 appearances this season.
Mar 23 - 7:15 AM

Erik Cole, who missed Friday's practice, is still expected to play Saturday afternoon against Ottawa.

We believe it was more of a maintenance day off for Cole than a serious injury situation. That said, we would still look for an alternative for Saturday's matinee.
Mar 22 - 11:13 AM

Erik Cole had a goal and an assist in the Stars' 2-1 victory on Saturday.

It was Cole's first goal since Jan. 21. With 15 goals and 28 points in 64 games this season, he has had no fantasy value in standard leagues this season and we wouldn't bet on him rebounding in the final weeks of the campaign.
Mar 9 - 9:19 AM

Erik Cole potted a power-play goal in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Minnesota.

The Stars went 2-for-7 with the man advantage in the contest, with Ray Whitney scoring the other marker. For Cole, it was his 14th goal of the season and his third in his last five games.
Jan 22 - 9:01 AM

Erik Cole scored two goals (including the game-winner) as the Dallas Stars beat the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 on Tuesday.

The American winger had six SOG. Cole now has four goals and one assist for five points in a three-game streak, representing one-quarter of his points (that versus a meager 15 points in 36 contests before this run). He's a judgment call as an add now, but if he can keep this up, Cole is definitely worth considering.
Jan 1 - 12:15 AM

Erik Cole scored two goals for the Stars in a 4-1 win over Nashville on Friday night.

Cole has totalled eight goals on the season and is fitting in as a solid role player for the young Stars. Jamie Benn and Ryan Garbutt also found the back of the net in the win.

Erik Cole scored a goal and added two assists for Dallas in a 4-1 win over the Canucks on Thursday.

Cole hasn't exactly had the greatest of seasons with only 15 points in 34 contests, but he was a force to be reckoned with on this night. Jamie Benn, Valeri Nichushkin and Colton Sceviour all contributed with goals in the victory.
Fri, Dec 20, 2013 12:42:00 AM

Erik Cole was the only Stars goal scorer Thursday as Dallas was upended by Nashville by a score of 3-1.

The Predators did a good job of shutting down the Stars' top scorers, leaving only a few opportunities for the team's secondary options. Alex Chiasson picked up the lone assist on Cole's tally.
Fri, Dec 13, 2013 01:45:00 AM

Erik Cole scored the game winner for the Dallas Stars in their 2-1 victory over the Canucks in Vancouver Sunday night.

It was Cole's second goal of the season. Also scoring his second goal of the season for the Stars was Valeri Nichushkin.
Sun, Nov 17, 2013 10:50:00 PM

Erik Cole had only 10:16 of ice time against the Avalanche Friday night.

Stars' coach Lindy Ruff wanted a little more speed on the ice and Cole didn't have his usual zip. Not sure if this will be a trend going forward but if it is, it will reduce Cole's fantasy value significantly.
