Jason LaBarbera has been sent to the minors.

LaBarbera was summoned by backup Michal Neuvirth on Wednesday. The All-Star break has begun, so Philadelphia may as well let LaBarbera play in the AHL until its next game on Feb. 2. Of course, there's also a possibility that Steve Mason will be healthy by then and the Flyers consequently won't need to recall LaBarbera.

Jason LaBarbera has been returned to the minors.

That presumably means that Michal Neuvirth is ready to return from his upper-body injury. LaBarbera has had two stints with Philadelphia this season, but has yet to play in a game with the Flyers.

Jason LaBarbera is at Flyers morning practice and will likely back up Steve Mason on Saturday.

This is an update on an earlier post. The Flyers were waiting until the morning skate to determine the status of the injured Michal Neuvirth and it appears that LaBarbera being on the ice has determined that. Don't expect LaBarbera to play except in a mop up role.

Jason LaBarbera could be recalled as early as Saturday.

Michal Neuvirth was injured in Wednesday's game with the Bruins and while he took some shots during a 15 minute practice session Friday, the Flyers will wait until Saturday morning to determine if Neuvirth is unable to back up Steve Mason, necessitating the recall of LaBarbera. He has no fantasy value.

Jason LaBarbera has been returned to AHL Lehigh Valley.

LaBarbera didn't end up logging any minutes during this stint with Philadelphia. He was serving as the Flyers' backup goaltender while Steve Mason was away due to a personal family matter.

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Jason LaBarbera to a one-year, two-way contract.

Jason LaBarbera will be the backup goaltender in Thursday's series opening game against Winnipeg.

John Gibson (hand) won't be available for the first game, so the Ducks will go with a goaltending duo of Frederik Andersen and LaBarbera. It's unclear when Gibson will be ready to return, but when he does come back he will take LaBarbera's spot.
