The Buffalo Sabres acquired Tellqvist for a fourth round pick on March 4th, but he only ended up starting in three games for the Sabres. He'll probably sign with another team as an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Mikael Tellqvist might not start in another game this season.

With goaltender Ryan Miller set to return on Friday, Tellqvist is expected to spend the game in the press box. Tellqvist has only made two starts since the Sabres acquired him for a fourth round draft pick and he may never start in another game for the team. Miller, if healthy, will serve as the team's starting goaltender for the remainder of the season and Patrick Lalime will back him up. Tellqvist is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer and will probably sign with another team in the off-season.

Mikael Tellqvist will get the start Wednesday against the Panthers.

While Ryan Miller is on the road to recovery from a sprained ankle, the goaltending duties still fall to Patrick Lalime and Mikael Tellqvist in the meantime, but Lalime is struggling mightily. Right now, both Tellqvist and Lalime aren't great options in net.

Mikael Tellqvist was saddled with a 4-2 loss to the streaking Senators.

Tellqvist only made 32 saves on 36 shots. It's the first time in six outings he has allowed more than three goals. Sporting a 7-6-1 record doesn't make him an appealing fantasy pick at this time.

Mikael Tellqvist will get the start against the Senators Tuesday night.

Patrick Lalime was horrible against his former team 10 days ago in a 6-3 loss in Ottawa and will back up Tellqvist Tuesday night. Adjust your goaltending rotation accordingly.

Mikael Tellqvist is not expected to make his debut with the Buffalo Sabres Friday.

The Sabres acquired Tellqvist on Wednesday to help deal with the injury to goaltender Ryan Miller. Buffalo also plays on Saturday, so we wouldn't be surprised if Tellqvist starts in that game.

Mikael Tellqvist has been traded to the Buffalo Sabres for a fourth round pick.

He should see some starts with Ryan Miller on the shelf. Number two goalie Patrick Lalime's future with the team may come into question now as he will likely compete with Tellqvist for the backup role. Tellqvist is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

He was giving Ilya Bryzgalov a breather in the Phoenix goal. Tellqvist was solid, giving up two goals on 28 shots. Bryzgalov had started 16 straight before Monday's game. Expect him to remain the top option for the Coyotes despite his recent struggles. Tellqvist has made just 12 starts this season.

Mikael Tellqvist will get the start in goal on Friday against the Islanders.

Tellqvist played on New Years Eve in place of the injured Ilya Bryzgalov and beat the Avs 3-1 so coach Wayne Gretzky is going right back to Tellqvist. Bryzgalov is healthy enough to back up Tellqvist on Friday.
