Jason Chimera will be a healthy scratch in Saturday's game against the Arizona Coyotes.

Chimera hasn't been scratched since Mar. 9. He's likely sitting so that he can be rested for next week's playoffs. J.T. Brown, Chris Kelly and Korbinian Holzer will also watch the game from the press box.
Apr 7 - 8:57 PM

Jason Chimera scored a goal with an assist, plus-2 rating and two hits in just 7:52 of ice time in Wednesday's 3-0 victory against Vancouver.

Chimera snapped a 26-game goal drought dating back to Dec. 27 against Buffalo. It was also his first multi-point performance since Dec. 1, and just his third game with two or more points since Dec. 26, 2015. He remains useful only in the deepest of fantasy formats at this point.
Mar 15 - 1:40 AM

Jason Chimera believes he can bounce back with the Anaheim Ducks.

After posting back-to-back 20-goal seasons, Chimera has been quiet this season with two goals and 11 points in 58 contests with the Islanders. He was acquired by the Ducks on Monday, who hope that the 38-year-old has something left in the tank. "I haven’t lost it, that’s for sure," said Chimera. "I’ve scored 20 goals the two previous seasons. This season has been kind of a rough year. It’s not gone. It’s there somewhere. You get a fresh start. My game is suited for the Western Conference. I know there are a lot of differences between the Western Conference and Eastern Conference styles of play. I always loved playing against Western Conference teams. It’s going to be really good for my game."
Feb 27 - 4:48 AM

Jason Chimera has been traded to the Anaheim Ducks from the New York Islanders for Chris Wagner.

Chimera was coming off back-to-back 20 goal seasons entering this season but the 38-year-old is having a horrible offensive campaign this season with only two goals and 11 points in 58 games. He will get a new chance the rest of the way but it could be the end of the road after this season for Chimera.
Feb 26 - 2:24 PM

Jason Chimera will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Chimera has two goals, nine assists and a minus-11 rating in 58 games this season. This is the fourth game in a row that he'll watch from the press box. Alan Quine and Dennis Seidenberg are also expected to serve as healthy scratches.
Feb 22 - 6:41 PM

Jason Chimera will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the New York Rangers.

This will be the first game Chimera misses all season. He has two goals and nine assists in 58 games this season. Alan Quine and Sebastian Aho will also serve as healthy scratches in this one. None of these three players will have any fantasy value going forward.
Feb 15 - 6:48 PM

Jason Chimera found the back of the net in the Islanders' 3-2 overtime win against Buffalo on Wednesday.

It was Chimera's first point since Dec. 11 and his first goal since Dec. 1. He has two markers and eight points in 37 contests this season. He'll likely finish well below his 2016-17 total of 33 points, but that's partially because he's getting less ice time this season.
Thu, Dec 28, 2017 05:01:00 AM

Jason Chimera has three points in his last two games.

That's a rare offensive outburst for Chimera in 2017-18, who has a goal and six points in 26 games. Chimera did have 33 points last season, but he's averaged just 11:39 minutes per contest in 2017-18, so keep your expectations low going forward.

Jason Chimera scored his 19th of the season on Saturday.

Chimera will get one chance on Sunday to hit the 20 goal mark for the second year in a row. He started off the season poorly with only one goal in his first 21 games but since then has some fantasy relevance in deeper pools.
Sun, Apr 9, 2017 09:11:00 AM

Jason Chimera reached the 30-point mark on Thursday.

Chimera found the back of the net in the Islanders' 6-3 loss to Philadelphia. This is the third time in four campaigns that Chimera has recorded at least 30 points. He'll all-but certainly finish below his 2015-16 mark of 40 points though.
Fri, Mar 31, 2017 09:04:00 AM

Jason Chimera lifted his point streak to three games with a goal during Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Flames.

The goal was his 16th of the season, leaving him five shy of setting a new career high. Through 64 games thus far the veteran winger has 24 points.

Jason Chimera picked up an assist in Friday's 2-1 shootout loss to Chicago.

Chimera and Travis Hamonic, who just returned to the lineup, earned their 11th assists of the season on a goal by Brock Nelson. Chimera has contributed 26 points in 63 games this year.
Sat, Mar 4, 2017 09:44:00 AM

Jason Chimera is on a three-game point streak.

Chimera has also recorded at least a point in four of his last five contests. That gives him 14 goals and 23 points in 56 games this season.

Jason Chimera found the back of the net in the Islanders' 7-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Chimera cut Toronto's lead to 3-1 late in the second period, but that's as close as the Isles would come to making the game interesting. The veteran forward now has 14 goals in 55 games this season. He has a chance to surpass his career-high of 20 goals, which he set last season and in 2011-12.
