The Phoenix Coyotes acquired Marcel Hossa and Al Montoya to the New York Rangers for Fredrik Sjostrom, Josh Gratton, and David LeNeveu.

Hossa scored a goal and registered seven assists in 36 games this season. He returned from a conditioning stint in the minor on February 24th. Before Sunday's game, Hossa had not played since January 14th due to a back injury.

Hossa returned from a conditioning stint in the minors after recovering from a back injury. He played only 8:52 on Sunday and failed to collect a point. He is not worth owning in most fantasy leagues.

Marcel Hossa has been reassigned to the AHL on a conditioning stint.

Hossa has been sidelined with a lower back injury since Jan. 14th. "It's been five weeks [since he's played], and when we're scrambling like we are and really pushing, it's important for him to be playing," coach Tom Renney said. "Eventually he can step in and help us. Under the circumstances, it would be a tall order."

Marcel Hossa is doubtful for Sunday's game as he is suffering from the flu.

Hossa has missed three straight practices and coach Tom Renney had him work out on the exercise bike on Saturday and sent him home so he would not infect any of his teammates with the bug. Reserve him for now.

Marcel Hossa traded goals with his brother Marian in the Rangers' 4-2 loss to Atlanta Friday night.

It was Marcel's first goal of the season, while brother Marian scored his 11th of the campaign. Chris Drury scored the other Ranger goal. Jaromir Jagr had a miserable night. He did not regtister a point and was minus three for the evening.

Marcel Hossa left Monday's morning skate early after suffering a groin pull that has evolved into a hip flexor strain.

He sat out Tuesday's practice as a result of the injury. Coach Tom Renney said that of Hossa is unable to practice with the team on Wednesday then he will miss Thursday night's contest against the Thrashers. Consider him day-to-day for now.
