Radim Vrbata confirmed Tuesday morning that he plans to retire.
"Next year, I'm just going to be a dad," Vrbata said. "After a career like that and three little kids going back to Czech for good, they'll be enough to do just being around the family. I was involved with my hometown team [BK Mlada Boleslav] for five years before. I think that's something I'll get back to. ... I think that's it. This was my last game as a player." Vrbata played in 1,057 career contests, including 42 with Florida in 2017-18. He notched 284 goals and 623 points. Apr 13 - 9:44 AM
