Radim Vrbata was credited with the game winning goal Monday night as the Coyotes beat the Ducks 3-2.
Vrbata fired the puck toward the net, but it was kicked in by a Ducks player. His goal came at the 14:50 mark and lifted the Coyotes to a 3-0 lead at the end of the third and as it turned out they needed the advantage after giving up one in each of the final two periods. Vrbata entered the night with one assist in each of his last five games, but the last time he had a goal to call his own was January 21 against the Lightning. Feb 21 - 12:03 AM

Radim Vrbata increased his points streak to five games Saturday.

Vrbata picked up his 29th assist of the season on the Coyotes lone goal scored by Martin Hanzal and it gives the veteran 40 points in 57 games. He struggled last season in Vancouver with 13 goals and 27 points but has regained his form back in Arizona. Look for teams to be interested in trading for Vrbata as the NHL deadline for deals is March 1.

Radim Vrbata registered an assist in a 5-3 win over Los Angeles on Thursday.

That extends Vrbata's point streak to four games. He has 11 goals and 39 points in 56 games this season. That's quite the step up from his 29 points in 2015-16, but it's well behind the 63 points he recorded in 2014-15.

Thanks to Elliotte Friedman, an interesting detail in potential trade candidate Radim Vrbata's contract has emerged.

According to Article 50.5, page 271 of the CBA, the Coyotes can agree to keep up 50% of all bonuses he reaches. Which are for 20 goals, 40 points plus advancement in the playoffs. In short, if a team agrees to retain a portion of a salary then they also agree to pick up the same percentage of all bonuses reached. Vrbata has 11 goals and 35 points in 51 games for the Coyotes thus far. He dings the cap at just $1M with another $1.25M in potential bonuses.

Radim Vrbata had a piece of four goals as the Coyotes beat the Lightning 5-3 Saturday night.

Vrbata scored a goal at the 10:19 mark of the first. He had three assists to Tobias Rieder, Michael Stone, and Martin Hanzal. With four points, he lifted his total to 33 and pads his lead over Oliver Ekman-Larsson who had only one assist Saturday night for a total of 25 points for the season.

Radim Vrbata has five points in his last four games.

Vrbata has 10 goals and 29 points in 44 contests in 2016-17. That's already two points better than he got last season in 63 games and his current pace is more in line with what we came to expect from him prior to that down season.
Jan 19 - 8:26 AM

Radim Vrbata netted the only Coyotes goal in a 3-1 loss to the Oilers Monday night.

Vrbata’s 10th goal of the season came late in the second period on a power-play for too many men on the ice, and while it raised the hopes of the Coyotes, they were unable to score again. The good news is that this snapped a seven-game streak in which he failed to score a single goal and had a disappointing +/- of -5. In that span of games, Vrbata earned four assists. He currently sits at 28 points for the season.
Jan 16 - 11:46 PM

Radim Vrbata earned his 44th shootout goal and secured the 2-1 victory of the Arizona Coyotes over the New York Islanders Saturday night.

Vrbata has the most shootout goals in NHL history and he helped the Coyotes snapped a nine-game losing streak for the Coyotes. Unfortunately, he hasn't earned a point in regulation in his last four games.
Jan 7 - 11:59 PM

Radim Vrbata closed the Arizona Coyotes to within one on a penalty shot, but it was not enough to stem a 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars Tuesday night.

The penalty came when Esa Lindell grabbed the puck in the crease. Vrbata earned his ninth goal of the season with 6.6 seconds remaining, but the opportunity was lost when the puck was cleared to the other end of the ice on the ensuing faceoff. With his 23rd point, Vrbata padded his lead for first over teammate Oliver Ekman-Larsson and his 17 total points.

Radim Vrbata scored his eighth goal of the season Saturday night, but it was not enough as the Arizona Coyotes lost a 3-2 contest to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

This puts Vrbata on a five-game streak during which he has earned at least one point per night. Unfortunately, he and the Coyotes are also riding a three-game losing streak after dropping to the Sharks and Kings. Vrbata’s 17 points leads the Coyotes and makes him fantasy relevant, however.

Radim Vrbata's assist Saturday was his 300th point as a Coyote.

Vrbata is back in familiar territory after a very good and then very bad season in Vancouver. The forward now has six goals and 12 points in 17 games and should be in someone's lineup in deeper leagues.

Radim Vrbata scored a power play goal at the 12:05 minute mark and cut the Bruins lead to one as the Coyotes lost 2-1 Saturday night.

Right wing Radim Vrbata has netted single goals in the last two games, but neither effort resulted in a win. Vrbata’s goal Saturday night was set up by Anthony DeAngelo and Oliver Ekman-Larsson, both defensemen, and made it past Tuukka Rask in a bounce off the side iron. Jordan Martinook placed extra pressure in front of Rask to witness the shot ultimately find its way to the back of the net.
