Timonen is a game-time decision and his status will have a bearing on whether Foster plays. Foster has been a regular healthy scratch this season.

Foster played for Anaheim, Minnesota and New Jersey last season and is now a member of the Flyers. He should get some time on the power play eventually this season and could even have a little bit of fantasy value in deeper leagues.

Kurtis Foster is banged up and will be replaced by Bruno Gervais in Tuesday's game against the New Jersey Devils.

Foster played in both games to start the season and could have played Tuesday, but the Flyers wanted to give Gervais a chance to show his wares. Foster has one assist an a +1 rating in two games this season and might have value in deeper leagues if he can stay in the lineup and get time on the power play.

As we reported last night, Kurtis Foster is now a Philadelphia Flyer.

Foster wasn't offered a contract by the Wild prior to the lockout, so he was an unrestricted free agent. Before suiting up in the the SM-liiga during the lockout, Foster played for Anaheim, Minnesota and New Jersey last season. Foster should get some time on the power play eventually and could have a little bit of fantasy value.

Kurtis Foster is expected to sign with the Flyers, according to CSN's Tim Panaccio.

As soon as all the CBA paperwork is complete, the 31-year-old will be able to sign his contract. He played in 51 games last year split with the Ducks, Devils and Wild, recording 14 points. During the lockout he played in SM-liiga, putting up six points in 13 games.

He sustained the ailment in the first period of Tappara's 3-2 win versus IFK Helsinki. A timetable for his return is unclear, but he doesn't have ties to any NHL team right now to warrant concern from a fantasy perspective.

Kurtis Foster should get some playing time over Minnesota's final eight games of the season.

With the concussion to Jared Spurgeon, Foster, who has been a healthy scratch for many of the Wild's recent games, should get a generous amount of playing time. Foster does have a heavy slapshot, and if he is given power-play ice time, he could chalk up a few points.

He had a miserable game against Detroit Friday (minus three) and will give way to Steve Kampfer, who wIll make his Minnesota debut after being acquired from Boston.
