The Anaheim Ducks are not interested in offering Niklas Hagman a contract extension.

Unless the Ducks trade his rights, Hagman will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. He had nine goals and 23 points in 71 games in 2011-12.

Niklas Hagman snapped a 10-game goal scoring slump on Tuesday.

Hagman has just two goals in 22 games. He surpassed the 20-goal mark three seasons in a row, but he isn't expected to come even close to that milestone this time around.

Niklas Hagman put the puck past Miikka Kiprusoff in the eighth round of a shootout and the Anaheim Ducks beat Calgary 3-2 on Monday night for their 14th straight home victory over the Flames.

"He’s a goalie I have practiced a lot against," said Hagman, who has six goals and seven assists in 34 games with Anaheim since he was claimed off waivers from Calgary on Jan. 14. "I don’t have that many moves, and he knows my go-to moves. I tried to switch a little bit. I wanted to come with good speed and shoot it. Luckily for me, he probably thought I was going to go with my backhand." Bobby Ryan and Matt Beleskey gave the Ducks a 2-0 lead in the first period before Jarome Iginla and Alex Tanguay tied the game at 2-2.

Niklas Hagman has been demoted to the Anaheim Ducks fourth line.

Although Hagman isn't expected to stay on the fourth line, it is a reflection of how disappointing he's been this season. He has seven goals and 17 points in 41 games this season and has just one goal and five points in his last 17 contests. "Sometimes guys get in a rut," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "They just sort of need a wake-up call a little bit. When we put Beleskey on the fourth line about eight games ago or 10 games ago, he went ‘Whoa’. And then he started to really come on."

Niklas Hagman has just one goal and five points in his last 16 games.

There was some hope that Hagman would be able to rebound after he was claimed off re-entry waivers by the Anaheim Ducks in mid-November. Unfortunately, while he has gotten a decent amount of playing time with Anaheim, he hasn't managed to emulate the scoring touch he had in Dallas and Toronto.

Coach Bruce Boudreau placed Niklas Hagman on the second line Friday as the Ducks now have a "Finnish Line".

Hagman was put alongside fellow countrymen Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne and the move paid off as the Ducks won for only the second time in nine games. Selanne scored and Koivu and Hagman each had an assist on Friday so if this arrangement works out, Hagman's fantasy value will be improved.

Niklas Hagman scored and assisted in the Anaheim Ducks' 3-2 shootout loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night.

The winger will never be confused with a big-time goal scorer, but he does have four in his past five games after lighting the lamp twice in the 19 previous. The 32-year-old has 12 points on the year. Lubomir Visnovsky also had a goal and a helper for the second consecutive night to give him nine points in 21 games. Tony Lydman and Luca Sbisa each had helpers in the loss.

Niklas Hagman is projected to play on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry on Thursday.

Once Saku Koivu (groin) is healthy, Bobby Ryan might shift back from center to the left wing, which would push Hagman down in the depth charts. All the same, Hagman does have some short-term value, especially seeing as he has points in four of his last five contests.

Niklas Hagman scored two goals in Anaheim's 2-1 victory Wednesday.

Hagman has three goals and four points in 12 games since Anaheim claimed him off re-entry waivers. Rod Pelley and Kyle Palmieri each scored their first goals of the season. Corey Perry registered two assists.

Niklas Hagman made his Anaheim debut on Thursday, playing one second over ten minutes.

Hagman was claimed off re-entry waivers from Calgary on Monday but needed to get a new work visa to play in the United States and finally was able to obtain one on Thursday, allowing him to play. He saw action with Devante Smith-Pelly and Brandon McMillan. He's not worth picking up at this time.

Niklas Hagman needs to deal with visa issues before he can make his Ducks' debut.

Anaheim claimed Hagman off of re-entry waivers on Monday. He didn't have much fantasy value in Calgary because he was barely being used, but the Ducks could give him a fresh start. Keep an eye on this situation as he could end up on Anaheim's second line.

The Anaheim Ducks have claimed Niklas Hagman on re-entry waivers.

Calgary will still be responsible for half of Hagman's remaining $3 million cap hit. This could be a great opportunity for Hagman to rebound, as there's been an opening on the Ducks' second line ever since Jason Blake suffered a wrist injury. We don't know yet what Hagman's role with Anaheim will be, but we will keep a close eye on this situation.

The Calgary Flames have placed Niklas Hagman on re-entry waivers Saturday.

He can be claimed by any team at half the salary by Monday morning. Hagman may draw interest from offensively-starved teams. Stay tuned here. His salary would be $1.5 million if claimed.
