Look for Scott Clemmensen to get the nod for Florida on Thursday night.

Jacob Markstrom was the only goalie on the ice for the team's optional skate, so it looks like Clemmensen will face the Rangers. We'll let you know if the situation changes as Florida's starter has not be confirmed.
Apr 18 - 1:22 PM

Scott Clemmensen turned aside 40 of 41 shots in a 2-1 win against Ottawa on Sunday.

Clemmensen helped the Panthers best the Senators despite the fact that they were out shot 41-17. This was Clemmensen's first win since Feb. 26, giving him a 3-6-2 record this season.
Apr 7 - 9:00 PM

Scott Clemmensen may get the start against his former club, the Devils, Saturday night.

Although Jacob Markstrom has made at least 33 saves in four of his last five starts, Clemmensen has a good track record against New Jersey. Panthers' coach Kevin Dineen may opt to give the veteran another chance to stick it to his former team.
Mar 30 - 10:41 AM

Scott Clemmensen saved 23 of 25 shots in a 2-1 win on Saturday.

Clemmensen allowed both goals on 12 shots in the second period. He hasn't won a game since Feb. 26 and is now 2-6-2 this season.
Mar 23 - 9:48 PM

Scott Clemmensen will start in net Saturday night against the Devils.

A bit of an odd choice considering how well Jacob Markstrom has played lately. Clemmensen has been awful this season with a 4.14 goals-against average and .857 save percentage.
Mar 23 - 11:45 AM

Scott Clemmensen had a rough night, giving up four goals in Florida's 4-3 loss to the Islanders on Saturday.

He made just 21 saves. The Panthers will continue to throw Clemmensen and Jacob Markstrom out there with their fingers crossed that one of them gets hot and gains some confidence. Florida has lost six in a row and nine of its last 10. This lockout-shortened season seems like an eternity for a team struggling like this.
Mar 16 - 10:16 PM

Scott Clemmensen will play between the pipes on Saturday.

Clemmensen will be looking for his first win since Feb. 26. He has a horrid 4.15 GAA and .858 save percentage in 12 games this season.
Mar 16 - 12:35 PM

Scott Clemmensen was beaten three times on 31 shots as the Panthers dropped a 4-1 decision to Boston on Thursday.

The injury to Jose Theodore hasn't exactly caused the Panthers' other netminders to step up, as both Clemmensen and Jacob Markstrom have struggled to find any consistency of late. Given the team-wide issues the club is facing, neither netminder makes for a great fantasy option.
Mar 14 - 9:37 PM

Scott Clemmensen will get the nod for Florida Thursday.

It was speculated earlier that Jacob Markstrom would return for another start, but the Panthers will turn to their backup against the Boston Bruins. "It's always a balancing act," coach Kevin Dineen said. "We had three goalies for a little bit. Now we got two and we're going to rely on both to be part of the solution that we need." Clemmensen owns a 5-3-2 record with a 2.20 GAA against Boston in his career.
Mar 14 - 4:59 PM

Now it looks like Scott Clemmensen will start for Florida Thursday night against Boston.

It was originally thought that Jacob Markstrom would get the call again, but George Richards of the Miami Herald is reporting that Clemmmsensen could get play instead. Markstrom has struggled since being handed the goaltending reigns, but Clemmensen has not played well at all this campaign.
Mar 14 - 1:08 PM

Scott Clemmensen was beaten three times on 24 shots Sunday as the Panthers dropped a 3-2 decision to Carolina.

After the first game since Jose Theodore suffered a serious groin injury we still don't know who will receive the bulk of the playing time for the Panthers as Clemmensen was forced to start thanks to Jacob Markstrom's equipment not arriving at the arena. We expect Markstrom to get the nod in Florida's next game.
Mar 3 - 8:59 PM

Scott Clemmensen kicked out 27 of 33 shots in a 6-2 defeat Saturday night.

Clemmensen started the game on the bench, but Jose Theodore left after just 2:22 minutes due to a lower body injury. If Theodore's injury is serious, then Clemmensen will have to compete for playing time with top goaltending prospect Jacob Markstrom.
Mar 2 - 9:43 PM

Scott Clemmensen allowed three goals on 10 shots before being replaced in goal by Jose Theodore in a 4-3 shootout loss to Buffalo Thursday.

Clemmensen simply didn't have it on this night, as he didn't even last a period before being sent to the showers. Jose Theodore relieved him and stopped all 15 shots he faced in the shootout defeat.
Feb 28 - 11:28 PM

Scott Clemmensen will be in goal for Florida Thursday night when Buffalo visits.

The decision doesn't come as much of a surprise after he helped the Panthers get two points in the standings, with a win over Pittsburgh Tuesday in relief of Jose Theodore. Clemmensen has won his past two appearances for Florida and he's looked much better in them than his previous performances this season.
