Rob Scuderi was a healthy scratch for the LA Kings on Tuesday night.
In 61 games this season, the 38-year old has only ten assists and a +8 rating. Scuderi is more well-known for his defensive role on the Kings making him not use of a fantasy player. Apr 6 - 9:59 AM

Rob Scuderi registered his 99th and 100th career assists in the Kings' 5-2 win over Dallas on Tuesday.

Scuderi needed 771 games to accomplish that feat. He's also been regarded as a defensive defenseman and whatever offense his team gets out of him is just a bonus. That said, this brings him up to a respectable four points in his nine games with the Kings.
Mar 16 - 11:06 AM

Rob Scuderi made his debut this season with the Los Angeles Kings a memorable one with an assist in 19:07 of action.

This is Scuderi's second go-round with the Kings. He had only four points heading into the game in 44 contests so don't expect a scoring explosion from the defensive defenseman. He also had a couple of shots on goal and was a plus-one. He has no fantasy value.
Feb 28 - 8:01 AM

Rob Scuderi will pair with Brayden McNabb during his second career debut with the LA Kings.

Unfortunately we wouldn't expect much from Scuderi. He's posted just four points with 42 blocks in 44 combined games with Chicago and Pittsburgh this season.
Feb 27 - 8:33 PM

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired Rob Scuderi from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Christian Ehrhoff.

Although Chicago had stashed Scuderi in the minors, it seems Los Angeles intends to put him on its NHL roster as the Kings also demoted Kevin Gravel to make room for him. Scuderi is 37 years old, but the Kings might still get some use out of the defensive defenseman. Don't expect him to have any impact in standard fantasy leagues though.
Feb 26 - 5:14 PM

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville has confirmed that Rob Scuderi is heading to the minors.

That's to be expected after Scuderi successfully cleared waivers. He doesn't have a point with Chicago in 17 games this season.
Feb 17 - 12:46 PM

Rob Scuderi went unclaimed on waivers.

Given that Chicago is carrying eight defensemen, the next step will probably be to send Scuderi to the AHL. He has no points in 17 games this season.
Feb 17 - 12:27 PM

Rob Scuderi has been placed on waivers.

Chicago has eight defensemen on the roster, so Scuderi could be heading for the minors if he clears. He has no points and a minus-6 rating in 17 games with the Blackhawks since he was acquired from Pittsburgh.
Feb 16 - 12:16 PM

Rob Scuderi is expected to be a healthy scratch in Monday's game against Toronto.

Scuderi has been scratched in five of Chicago's last six games. Erik Gustafsson and Jiri Sekac will also watch the game from the press box. These three players can be ignored in standard fantasy leagues.
Feb 15 - 8:18 PM

Rob Scuderi will be scratched against Colorado on Tuesday night.

Five, eight, 13 and 16. Those are the hit, block, shots, and games played totals for Scuderi as a member of the Blackhawks. Which unfortunately tells you all you need to know about his fantasy viability.
Feb 2 - 7:15 PM

Rob Scuderi and Richard Panik will be scratched from Friday's match against Florida.

Unforutnately neither posses any fantasy value. Scuderi is allergic to counting stats, and Panik, though with three points in five games with Chicago, has just 42 points in 176 career NHL games.
Jan 22 - 6:55 PM

Former Pittsburgh Penguins rearguard Rob Scuderi will not face his former teammates in the back end of a home-and-home. Brandon Mashinter will also sit

Scuderi was replaced in the lineup with Michal Rozsival. Brandon Mashinter also sits this one out.
Jan 6 - 8:03 PM

Rob Scuderi will be scratched Sunday against Ottawa.

Scuderi has seen just seven games on Chicago's blue line, which indicates he could already be falling out of favor with Coach Quenneville. Not that he possesses much fantasy value in the first place.
Jan 3 - 5:23 PM

Rob Scuderi, David Rundblad, and Brandon Mashinter will each be scratched from Tuesday's match with Arizona.

Unfortunately there isn't a lick of fantasy value between the three, but Scuderi is potentially the most enticing if you're in a super deep league. Through 31 games (six with Chicago) he's posted a grand total of 36 hits. So hopefully it's not also also a salary cap league.
Tue, Dec 29, 2015 09:01:00 PM

Rob Scuderi should be available for Sunday's game against Carolina.

He took a redirected puck to the face this past Tuesday, but coach Joel Quenneville is hopeful that Scuderi will be in the lineup. In five games with Chicago, the veteran defenseman has five shots and a minus-2 rating.
