Carlo Colaiacovo and Andrew MacDonald will pair together in their return to the Flyers' lineup on Tuesday night against Calgary.

While MacDonald was scratched for just one game, albeit against the NY Rangers, Colaiacovo has been scratched for the past eight games and has 15 games to his credit this season. Though they'll combine for the Flyers' third defensive unit, neither have produced enough value for fantasy purposes.

Carlo Colaiacovo and Nick Schultz will pair up to create Philadelphia's third defensive unit on Friday night against Colubmus.

Colaiacovo has been unable to put up much fantasy value thus far with Philly. Through 15 games he has just three points and little else to show for his efforts. Schultz on the other hand has done a bit better with a dozen points, 72 hits, and 100 blocks over 52 games thus far.

Originally thought to be out with an upper body injury, Colaiacovo appears ready to skate in his tenth game as a Flyer this season. However with just three points, six penalty minutes and 13 hits, he has no fantasy value.

Confirming a previous report, the Flyers veteran defenseman will indeed dress Wednesday night. With Braydon Coburn sidelined for at least the next four weeks, Colaiacovo will get his share of ice time on the blue line. He's only appeared in five games this season, picking up two assists and will line up aside Luke Schenn to form the Flyers third defensive pairing.

Colaiacovo was in the press box for 26 straight games. He's finally getting a chance to play because Braydon Coburn is sidelined with a lower-body injury. "This has definitely been a first for me and a tough mental grind," Colaiacovo said. "It's preparing me for an opportunity like this. Unfortunately, it happens through injury, but I don't control those fates. Just how hard I work and being mentally and physically ready and I've done that and more. Emotions can't even describe how I feel right now. I really look forward to getting back in there."

Carlo Colaiacovo made his Flyers debut on Tuesday.

Colaiacovo was fine in his first game of the season, posting a plus-one rating in 16:50 minutes of ice time. He inked a two-way deal with the Flyers for the 2014-15 campaign.
