Carlo Colaiacovo made his Flyers debut on Tuesday.

Colaiacovo was fine in his first game of the season, posting a plus-one rating in 16:50 minutes of ice time. He inked a two-way deal with the Flyers for the 2014-15 campaign.
Nov 5 - 10:55 AM

Carlo Colaiacovo took part in his first practice as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Colaiacovo has agreed to a two-way contract with the Flyers. He needs some time to get up to speed after skipping the first month of the season, but he's hoping to make his 2014-15 debut on Tuesday.
Oct 31 - 2:12 PM

Carlo Colaiacovo's newly signed contract is a two-way deal.

Colaiacovo comes with a $625,000 annual cap hit when he's on the Flyers' roster. In other words, the Flyers took a minimal risk when they signed him. Philadelphia wanted to bolster the team's defensive depth because Braydon Coburn, Andrew MacDonald, and of course Kimmo Timonen are all on the sidelines.
Oct 31 - 12:25 PM

Unrestricted free agent Carlo Colaiacovo has been signed by the Philadelphia Flyers, terms of the contract have not yet been released.

After defensemen Braydon Coburn and Andrew MacDonald both placed on I/R this week, and GM Ron Hextall's stated disdain for calling up touted prospect Shayne Gostisbehere, a signing in Philly was inevitable. The lefty Colaiacovo, still just 31 years old, brings 401 games of experience with 144 points to his credit since 2005. But he hasn't played at least 60 games since 2011 mostly due to injuries.
Oct 31 - 12:41 AM

Along with Steve Ott and Brenden Morrow, the St. Louis Blues aren't expected to re-sign Carlo Colaiacovo.

The oft-injured defenseman showed fantasy potential earlier in his career, but at this point, he's probably just happy to have an NHL job. We'll see if that happens this summer.
Jun 22 - 2:24 PM

Carlo Colaiacovo will not play Saturday night against Dallas as he will be a healthy scratch.

Although he played with energy against the Wild Thursday night, the veteran will give way to Ian Cole against the Stars.
Mar 29 - 1:39 PM

Carlo Colaiacovo will be in the Blues' lineup against the Flyers Saturday afternoon.

He has been a healthy scratch so often this season that he has a permanent seat in the press box. That said, Colaiacovo will get a chance to play against the streaking Flyers at the expense of Ian Cole who will sit this game out.
Mar 22 - 9:18 AM

Carlo Colaiacovo potted his first goal of the season in Sunday's shootout win over Minnesota.

He has three points in 14 games this season. Colaiacovo hasn't been presented with many opportunities to dress in 2013-14 with the Blues.
Mar 10 - 11:51 AM

Carlo Colaiacovo sat out 17 consecutive games as a healthy scratch before returning to the lineup on Wednesday night.

"He was good, moved the puck," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "I thought that pair was very good." He played alongside Roman Polak in the contest and could dress again in Friday's meeting at Anaheim.
Feb 28 - 10:55 AM

Carlo Colaiacovo has been a healthy scratch for over a month.

In years' past Colaiacovo missed plenty of games due to injuries. However, this season the veteran rearguard can't seem to crack the Blues' lineup primarly due to the team's depth and his mediocre play. Colaiacovo seems to be taking a mature approach to his benching. "I've got to keep waiting for my chance and keep doing the things I need to do both on and off the ice to make sure I’m ready when the chance comes," Colaiacovo said. It goes without saying that he is no longer a fantasy factor.
Feb 8 - 9:35 AM

Carlo Colaiacovo was a plus-two Saturday.

He replaced the injured Roman Polak on the blueline. Colaiacovo has been seeing ice time as a forward as the Blues were hurting up front but now will use him on the blueline as they have only six healthy rearguards.
Sun, Dec 22, 2013 11:18:00 AM

Carlo Colaiacovo lined up as a forward Tuesday night and he may do so again Thursday against Montreal.

If the Blues get Vladimir Sobotka and/or Jaden Schwartz back from injury then Colaiacovo could return to the press box. He saw 5:40 of ice time and finished with two penalty minutes in his fourth-line role versus San Jose.
Thu, Dec 19, 2013 11:38:00 AM

Carlo Colaiacovo will get back into St. Louis' lineup Monday night.

His only appearance this season came on Nov. 25 against Minnesota when he posted an assist and logged 14:17 of ice time. Ian Cole will head to the press box to make room for him.
Mon, Dec 2, 2013 06:27:00 PM

Carlo Colaiacovo will make his season debut Monday night.

He is going to play whether or not Kevin Shattenkirk, who has the flu, is able to dress. "He's been ready for a week," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He's a great puck distributor, he's smart, he plays sneaky good minutes. He's a real complementary player. He can play minutes killing penalties, he can play on the power play ... he can add to the group."
