Max Pacioretty told the Montreal Gazette's Dave Stubbs that he wants the Habs to retain Colby Armstrong, calling him a "hero" for his leadership and presence this season.
Though he has displayed some decent scoring ability in his career, Armstrong has turned into a into a bottom-six role player whose contributions aren't often seen in the score sheet; he had only two goals and three assists this season. It appears to be probable that he'll suit up against New Jersey on Tuesday night, but he doesn't have any fantasy value.

We will never know if Markov and Armstrong will improve the Habs if there is no successful negotiation of a new CBA.
