Derek Roy will be back in the Blues' lineup Saturday afternoon against the Islanders.

He was a healthy scratch Thursday against the Rangers. Roy, who had not scored a goal in 18 games, was being sent a message by St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock. "I expect Derek to get back and be the player that he was when he first came here," Hitchcock said. "His game has dropped off a little bit. He's an important player on our team, but we can't just continue to trot out the same stuff with no change. We need to see him as a better player. He's no different than anybody else. When you sit out, it's because we expect more. You can mask it with just calling it (a numbers game). But at the end of the day, if you want to get back in, you've got to play better." For his part, Roy seems to have received the message. "We've just got to get back to our winning ways and that involves me playing better," said Roy. We expect him to rebound Saturday against The Islanders.
