Colton Orr (elbow) has been taken off of the injured reserve list.

Orr is a good source of penalty minutes, but only if you don't care in the slightly about his non-existent offensive production. He's projected to play alongside Jerred Smithson and Jerry D'Amigo on Monday.

Colton Orr was not on the ice for warm-ups Friday night, and will not take part in the Leafs’ clash with the Devils in the Hall of Fame game.

Orr was given what coach Randy Carlyle called a "maintenance morning" to deal with some nagging injuries, but it appears that job will keep him out of the game too. Morgan Reilly, who was projected to be a healthy scratch Friday night, will be the Leafs’ seventh defenseman as Mark Fraser returns from injury.

Colton Orr was scratched from Toronto's lineup Wednesday night.

Fellow Leafs' enforcer Frazer McLaren didn't play in Wednesday's loss to Tampa either. Coach Randy Carlyle likes to play his tough guys though, so they will probably be back in the lineup soon. Carlyle likes his team's identity with Orr and McLaren in the lineup even though the Leafs outshot an opponent for the first time in 11 games with them in the press box. The Toronto bench boss will ice the squad he feels gives them the best chance of winning and the Leafs have played well with them skating on the fourth line. Orr leads the league with 155 penalty minutes in 42 games this year.
