Colton Orr will play for the Calgary Flames farm team in Stockton this season.

The deal is a minor league one as the NHL Flames did not sign him. Orr spent last season with the Toronto Marlies save for the last game of the season when he suited up for the Maple Leafs.

Colton Orr will play on Toronto's fourth line against Montreal Saturday night alongside Zach Sill and Brandon Kozun.

The Maple Leafs called up Orr as a thank you for his contributions to the Maple Leafs over the years. Orr has been in the AHL all season and is an unrestricted free agent who will not be back with the organization next season. For those of you expecting Orr to go out with a bang and get into a fight or two--forget it. Montreal does not have an enforcer and the honest Orr will likely want to bow out without engaging in fisticuffs with a middleweight.

Colton Orr has been placed on waivers by Toronto.

He suited up in 54 games with the Leafs last season, while compiling 110 penalty minutes and zero points. Toronto left plenty of hints during the summer that they were unlikely to feature an enforcer on their roster going into the 2014-15 campaign.

Colton Orr showed some offensive touch as he scored a goal and an assist in the Leafs opening scrimmage on Saturday.

"It’s going to be a long camp and today’s a good start," said Orr. "I’m just trying to make a good first impression (for new management and assistant coaches. I’ve always been in an uphill battle to keep a spot. This will be the same thing, work hard and show that I can play." Despite his offensive "outburst" in the scrimmage, Orr is known more for dropping the gloves than he is for his skill. Unless your fantasy league gives you points for penalty minutes, you can safely ignore Orr on draft day.

Colton Orr is dealing with an undisclosed injury.

Colton Orr (elbow) has been taken off of the injured reserve list.

Orr is a good source of penalty minutes, but only if you don't care in the slightly about his non-existent offensive production. He's projected to play alongside Jerred Smithson and Jerry D'Amigo on Monday.

Colton Orr (elbow) has been moved to injured reserve.

Toronto's roster currently stands at 21 players after Jerred Smithson cleared waivers and was returned to the minors. Look elsewhere for your penalty minutes while Orr is on the mend.

Colton Orr was not on the ice for warm-ups Friday night, and will not take part in the Leafs’ clash with the Devils in the Hall of Fame game.

Orr was given what coach Randy Carlyle called a "maintenance morning" to deal with some nagging injuries, but it appears that job will keep him out of the game too. Morgan Reilly, who was projected to be a healthy scratch Friday night, will be the Leafs’ seventh defenseman as Mark Fraser returns from injury.

Colton Orr is expected to be available to play when Toronto closes out the preseason with back-to-back games against Detroit.

He has been sidelined with a leg bone bruise since the beginning of training camp. Orr should be able to rack up penalty minutes this season, so consider him if you are looking for help in that category.

Colton Orr is still dealing with a leg bone bruise and consequently hasn't been practicing with Toronto.

Orr agreed to a two-year/$1.85 million extension with Toronto over the summer. He won't get much more than five points this season, but he is one of the best sources of penalty minutes in the league.
