Oilers coach Todd McLellan thinks Mike Cammalleri will be a good fit for Edmonton.

Edmonton acquired Cammalleri from Los Angeles in exchange for Jussi Jokinen. "He’s a shooter," said McLellan of Cammalleri. "Since he’s entered the league, the one thing he has is an incredible shot and a quick release. He knows where the net is. Given (our) lack of scoring, we think he can come in and use that shot. It’s not that we haven’t created opportunities, we just haven’t finished a lot of them. If we can continue to create and he happens to be the receiver of some of those passes, maybe we can get a little more offense out of him." Cammalleri might practice with Edmonton for the first time on Thursday so perhaps we'll get an idea of who he will be playing alongside during that skate.
Nov 16 - 6:50 AM

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired Mike Cammalleri from the Los Angeles Kings for Jussi Jokinen, according to Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos.

Cammalleri signed with the Kings as a free agent during the summer, but his second stint in L.A. lasted just 15 games. The veteran has three goals and four assists in in 2017-18. He can still be a productive NHLer, just don't expect him to carry much fantasy value going forward.
Nov 14 - 7:21 PM

Mike Cammalleri posted two goals with two assists and a plus-3 rating in 14:01 of ice time Wednesday against Montreal.

It seems like old times for Cammy in L.A. He posted the first of his two 80-point NHL campaigns in Los Angeles back in 2006-07 during his first tour of duty wearing the crown. While he has settled into being more of a 35-40 point type player in the NHL in recent seasons, this performance reminded fans of halcyon days.
Oct 19 - 3:30 AM

Mike Cammalleri is playing alongside Anze Kopitar and Jonny Brodzinski.

The line could start the season together as the Kings open up against Philadelphia Thursday. Cammalleri had only 31 points last season with New Jersey with lengthy pointless streaks so his value in fantasy is definitely questionable at this time. Look for 40-45 points but he is capable of lots more.
Sep 30 - 8:29 AM

Mike Cammalleri scored a pair of goals in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

The 35-year-old was a member of the Kings from 2002-03 to 2007-08. He then spent time with Calgary, Montreal and New Jersey before signing with the Kings this offseason. Cammalleri played in 61 games with the Devils last season and he managed to score 31 points. The veteran winger used to put up impressive offensive totals, but those days are over. He has no fantasy value.
Sep 29 - 1:10 AM

Mike Cammalleri has signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Kings.

Cammalleri is expected to get $1 million with the possibility of more through bonuses. He had a horrible season with New Jersey with 10 goals and 31 points in 61 games last season but will return to the team that originally drafted him in the second round in 2001. Look for a comeback of sorts with Cammalleri getting 45-50 points this season if he is healthy.
Jul 1 - 1:19 PM

The San Jose Sharks could be interested in Mike Cammalleri if they fail to re-sign Patrick Marleau.

Cammalleri was bought out by the New Jersey Devils on Friday, which makes him eligible to sign with any team today. He had just 10 goals and 31 points in 61 games last season, but he could be an intriguing addition at the right price. It'll be interesting to see how this situation unfolds over the next few hours.
Jul 1 - 9:20 AM

The New Jersey Devils have decided to buy out Mike Cammalleri.

Cammalleri still had two seasons left on his five-year, $25 million contract. He was limited to 10 goals and 31 points in 61 contests in 2016-17. While he wasn't worth his cap hit, there should be some interest in him in the UFA market at a more reasonable price.
Jun 30 - 12:24 PM

Mike Cammalleri is expected to skate on the second line on Friday night against the Islanders.

After missing 13 games with an upper body injury, the veteran is slated to skate to the left of Adam Henrique and Joseph Blandisi. Cammalleri has 10 goals and 30 points in 55 games this season.
Mar 31 - 6:18 PM

Mike Cammalleri is expected to return to the lineup soon.

New Jersey sent Blake Pietila down to AHL Albany on Thursday, potentially clearing the way for the veteran's return. The Devils take on the Islanders on Friday and the Flyers on Saturday.
Mar 30 - 6:31 PM

Mike Cammalleri (upper body) might be available to return this weekend.

He is considered to be day-to-day. Cammalleri has been out of action since Mar. 2 due to an upper-body injury.
Mar 28 - 5:36 PM

Mike Cammalleri (upper body) skated during the week back in New Jersey.

Cammalleri did not accompany the Devils on their Western road trip and has missed the last five games with the injury. He has 10 goals and 30 points in 55 games this season a big drop fantasy wise from last season when he had 38 points in only 42 contests. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Mar 12 - 9:48 AM

Mike Cammalleri (upper body) is considered week-to-week at this time.

He obviously won't play on Saturday against Boston. "Cammy is an upper body so I'd say a week right now and then we'll probably re-evaluate what it would be after that," coach John Hynes said. "I'd classify him now as week to week." He appeared to hurt his shoulder on Thursday night when went awkwardly into the side boards.
Mar 4 - 9:18 AM

Mike Cammalleri (upper body) will be sidelined for at least a week.

Cammalleri will be re-evaluated after a week, so we might get a better idea of how long he'll be out for at that time. He sustained the injury on Thursday. He has 10 goals and 30 points in 55 games this season.
