Mike Cammalleri registered an assist in the Oilers' 4-1 loss to Vegas Thursday night.
Cammalleri has only been held off the scoresheet once in his last six games. It's an interesting time for him to get hot as it might make it easier for the Oilers to shop him before the trade deadline. He has five goals and 21 points in 48 contests this season. Feb 16 - 10:13 AM

The Edmonton Oilers are likely to attempt to trade Mike Cammalleri at the deadline.

Cammalleri can become an unrestricted free agent this summer and the Oilers have almost no hope of making the playoffs at this point, so they're expected to make some trades with the future in mind. Cammalleri was acquired by Edmonton from Los Angeles back in November in exchange for Jussi Jokinen. Cammalleri has five goals and 20 points in 47 games this season.

Mike Cammalleri registered an assist in Edmonton's 5-2 loss to Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Cammalleri started the season with the Kings, but was dealt to Edmonton in exchange for Jussi Jokinen. Cammalleri hasn't been a major contributor for the most part this season, but lately he's seen some ice time on the top line with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. That seems to be helping as Cammalleri is on a three-game point streak.
Feb 8 - 5:55 AM

Mike Cammalleri practiced on the top line with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on Wednesday.

It would obviously be a nice role for Cammalleri, but it's one that might not happen. "I wouldn’t write him in ink there right now," said Oilers coach Todd McLellan. "(Zack ) Kassian wasn’t here today (family issues) and we’re going to decide if we dress seven D or not. There are some lineup decisions that we have to make over the next 24 hours." In other words, don't get too excited about Cammalleri just yet, especially given that he's been averaging a modest 13:33 minutes with the Oilers and has spent some games as a healthy scratch.
Feb 1 - 5:30 AM

Mike Cammalleri will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the Buffalo Sabres.

Cammalleri has five goals and 15 points in 41 games this season. It's the first time he'll serve as a healthy scratch since late December. Brandon Davidson and Yohann Auvitu will also watch the game from the press box.

Mike Cammalleri will be a healthy scratch on Monday night as the Edmonton Oilers host the San Jose Sharks.

Cammalleri has four goals and 13 points in 29 games with the Oilers and Kings this season. He has two points in his last five games but isn't the point producer he once was. He will be joined by defenseman Eric Gryba in the press box.

Mike Cammalleri had an assist in Edmonton's 7-2 win over Columbus on Tuesday.

Cammalleri has recorded a point in four of his last five contests. He has four goals and 13 points in 27 contests between Los Angeles and Edmonton in 2017-18. Even factoring in his recent hot streak, Cammalleri hasn't seen a meaningful overall boost in production as a result of his move from the Kings to Oilers.

Mike Cammalleri posted an assist and one shot on goal across 11:43 of ice time in Wednesday's loss against Philadelphia.

Cammalleri has managed back-to-back points for the first time since coming over to the Oilers from the Kings, but his ice time was actually his lowest total in nine games with the team. The team needed an injection of offense, but he has no goals and just four assists since moving to Edmonton. Instead of solving their offensive problems, he has simply joined the mix.

Mike Cammalleri will be a healthy scratch in Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs.

Cammalleri has three goals and six assists in 22 games with the Kings and Oilers this season. He's clearly not the same productive player he used to be. Eric Gryba and Iiro Pakarinen will also be scratched in this one.

Edmonton Oilers head coach Todd McLellan is mixing up his lines and it appears Mike Cammalleri will be on Connor McDavid's wing moving forward.

This is definitely a situation to monitor seeing as anybody on McDavid's wing is usually worth owning in fantasy leagues. Cammalleri has made a living putting the puck in the back of the net and he will likely get ample opportunity to do that with his new linemates that also include Milan Lucic. Monitor this closely, but it might be better to be a little early picking up Cammalleri than a game or two late. The 35-year-old forward has eight points in 20 games this season. It's also worth mentioning that McDavid and Cammalleri took turns playing center, with the former moving to the right wing.

Mike Cammalleri got his first point as a member of the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.

Cammalleri registered an assist on Mark Letestu's second period goal. There was some hope that Cammalleri would be a solid secondary scorer with the Oilers and while that still might happen, he's gotten off to a quiet start with an assist in four games.

Mike Cammalleri will make his Oilers debut on Thursday.

Edmonton acquired Cammalleri from Los Angeles in exchange for Jussi Jokinen. Cammalleri will be playing on the third line with Ryan Strome and Iiro Pakarinen.

Oilers coach Todd McLellan thinks Mike Cammalleri will be a good fit for Edmonton.

Edmonton acquired Cammalleri from Los Angeles in exchange for Jussi Jokinen. "He’s a shooter," said McLellan of Cammalleri. "Since he’s entered the league, the one thing he has is an incredible shot and a quick release. He knows where the net is. Given (our) lack of scoring, we think he can come in and use that shot. It’s not that we haven’t created opportunities, we just haven’t finished a lot of them. If we can continue to create and he happens to be the receiver of some of those passes, maybe we can get a little more offense out of him." Cammalleri might practice with Edmonton for the first time on Thursday so perhaps we'll get an idea of who he will be playing alongside during that skate.

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired Mike Cammalleri from the Los Angeles Kings for Jussi Jokinen, according to Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos.

Cammalleri signed with the Kings as a free agent during the summer, but his second stint in L.A. lasted just 15 games. The veteran has three goals and four assists in in 2017-18. He can still be a productive NHLer, just don't expect him to carry much fantasy value going forward.

Mike Cammalleri posted two goals with two assists and a plus-3 rating in 14:01 of ice time Wednesday against Montreal.

It seems like old times for Cammy in L.A. He posted the first of his two 80-point NHL campaigns in Los Angeles back in 2006-07 during his first tour of duty wearing the crown. While he has settled into being more of a 35-40 point type player in the NHL in recent seasons, this performance reminded fans of halcyon days.
