Mike Cammalleri scored and assisted in the Devils’ 5-3 loss to the Capitals on Saturday night.
We have a feeling Cammalleri will be occupying this spot quite often for the Devils as they lack enough prominent goal scorers. He had 27 goals and 42 points in 68 games last season. Adam Henrique and Eric Gelinas got the other goals in the loss. Oct 10 - 10:49 PM

Michael Cammalleri missed Tuesday's skate, but was back on the ice Wednesday.

Cammalleri's absence was attributed to maintenance and given that he promptly returned, we're not concerned. He had 27 goals and 42 points in 63 games in 2014-15.
Sep 30 - 11:11 AM

Michael Cammalleri thinks the changes to the Devils' front office might be "refreshing" for the team.

"I think it will be different because Lou had a unique way of doing things and he did them for so long one way," Cammalleri said. "The organization was so used to things being done one way and now there is a different take on things. So there will be a different feel for sure." He has faith in GM Ray Shero and feels that New Jersey's ownership can turn the team around. Cammalleri led the low-scoring Devils with 27 goals last season in 63 games.

Michael Cammalleri will wear No. 13 this coming season.

He has worn those digits for most of his NHL career, but had No. 23 last year. Defenseman Eric Gelinas is changing his jersey number from 22 to 44, which will allow Jordin Tootoo to reclaim No. 22. It's been a slow news day.
Aug 5 - 4:32 PM

Michael Cammalleri scored pair of goals for the Devils Tuesday, but the team fell short in a 3-2 overtime loss to Columbus.

The unheralded forward has very quietly posted 27 goals in 63 games for the offensively-starved Devils this season after recording 26 for Calgary a season earlier. Fantasy owners who placed they trust in him have been rewarded for their faith.
Mar 31 - 11:54 PM

Michael Cammalleri (flu) will be back in the lineup on Monday.

He has sat out New Jersey's last two games because of the flu. Cammalleri is slated to rejoin a line with Travis Zajac and Jordin Tootoo. He has 25 goals and 36 points in 58 games this season.
Mar 23 - 4:56 PM

Michael Cammalleri missed his second straight game on Saturday with what's being referred to as a flu.

"To what extent, it's hard to say," GM and interim coach Lou Lamoriello said of Cammalleri's condition. "He's under the doctor's care. He came down (with it) suddenly. That seems to be the story of sickness this year." Cammalleri is questionable for Monday's contest. He has 25 goals and 36 points in 58 games this season.
Mar 22 - 9:58 AM

Michael Cammalleri didn't complete Friday's morning skate due to an illness.

Cammalleri was sent to the hotel to rest, but the hope is that he'll still be fine for Friday's game against Buffalo. If he can't play then Martin Havlat will likely fill the void. Cammalleri has 25 goals and 36 points in 58 contests in 2014-15.
Mar 20 - 12:23 PM

Mike Cammalleri scored and assisted in the Devils’ 4-1 win over the Coyotes on Saturday night.

Cammalleri has been as advertised this season, with 25 goals and 35 points in 57 games. His production should be a little better next season if the Devils can add more offensive firepower. Adam Henrique, Stephen Gionta and Jordin Tootoo (goal, assist) got the other markers. Tootoo also had seven penalty minutes.
Mar 14 - 11:44 PM

Michael Cammalleri extended his point streak to seven games on Tuesday.

He has generated six goals and three assists during that span. Cammalleri has a team-leading 24 goals and 34 points in 52 games this year. He has five empty-netters in 2014-15 and three of them have come during his scoring spree.
Mar 4 - 3:58 PM

Mike Cammalleri scored his third goal in two games in the Devils' 3-1 loss Wednesday night to the visiting Calgary Flames.

Cammalleri's goal Wednesday gave him a team-high 23 on the season. In 16 career games against Calgary, Cammalleri has eight goals and 12 points. He spent four of his 12 NHL seasons in Calgary. The Devils had won four consecutive games before squandering their 1-0, first period lead and falling to the Flames Wednesday. The Devils remain six points behind the Boston Bruins for the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Devils haven't won five in a row since February, 2013.
Feb 25 - 10:15 PM

Mike Cammalleri delivered two of the Devils' goals in their 3-0 shutout of the Arizona Coyotes in New Jersey Monday night.

The veteran left winger increased his goal total on the season to 22 with his two scores in the third period, one of which was into the Coyotes' empty net with 1:48 left. Scott Gomez scored the Devils' first goal in the first period to move into fifth place on the team's all-time list with 473 points. It was Gomez's fifth goal of the season. He trails Scott Niedermayer, in fourth spot on the Devils' all-time list, by three points. The Devils have a four-game winning streak, their longest stretch without a loss in two years. (They won five in a row in February of 2013.) The Devils have outscored their opponents 8-4 over the past four games. They'll play the fifth of a six-game homestand against the Calgary Flames Wednesday.
Feb 23 - 10:25 PM

Mike Cammalleri scored a pair of goals in Friday's 4-2 win over Vancouver.

The Devils jumped out to a big lead in this game and Cammalleri's first goal (scored on the power play) gave New Jersey a 3-0 advantage. The 32-year-old also put the Canucks away by burying a shorthanded goal into an empty net. Cammalleri hadn't registered a point in his last four games so it's nice to see him break out of a funk. He has 20 goals and 27 points in 46 games this season. Patrik Elias and Jordin Tootoo also found the back of the net for the Devils.
Feb 20 - 9:33 PM

Mike Cammalleri scored for New Jersey in its 6-2 loss to the Canadiens on Saturday night.

Things looked good for the Devils for about two minutes Saturday night as Cammalleri got the game’s first goal, then reality hit, hard. Cammalleri has goals in three of his past five games, good for 18 on the year, along with 25 points. Jacob Josefson picked up the other goal.
Feb 7 - 10:47 PM

Michael Cammalleri is tied for the NHL lead with seven game-winning goals.

Cammalleri's most recent one came on Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators. "He's got a knack for the net," goaltender Cory Schneider said. "He's got a nose for that moment and he's the kind of guy that I think we needed in here, a guy who feels like he's going to score every time he shoots. He's that way in practice. You can't convince him otherwise and I think that's a great attitude to have. There's been times in the last year or so we haven't gotten the shot we've needed and there it was. I think he really relishes those opportunities and he doesn't miss very often. What a beautiful goal there." Cammalleri has 17 goals and 24 points in 39 contests in 2014-15.
