Both of Cammalleri's goals were scored on the power play. The Devils never trailed in this game but still lost. The 32-year-old has 10 goals and 14 points in 17 games this season. Jaromir Jagr and Peter Harold also scored for the Devils.

Michael Cammalleri was booed in his return to Calgary.

Well, that's not entirely true as he was cheered when he took a pair of minor penalties. He managed to score his eighth of the season and that brought down the boos from the Calgary faithful. Cammalleri had two stints in Calgary with the last one ending over the summer as he inked a five-year deal with New Jersey after becoming a free agent. "A lot of fun," Cammalleri said. "I thought it was an entertaining game for everybody. A couple of times I let emotions get the better of me out there. I probably should’ve been a little more disciplined. There was definitely no shortage of chirps from the other team. I was getting it left, right and center."

Cammalleri's New Jersey Devils play at the Saddledome on Saturday and Cammalleri is looking forward to his return."It will be a quick turnaround right around the corner," Cammalleri said. "You always talk about the game that’s present and right now for us ... we need some wins here. Having said that, I’m excited to go back to Calgary. It’s a place that was just so good to me and my family. I have so many really, really close friends still there – in hockey, out of hockey, everything." Cammalleri has seven goals and 11 points in 14 games but has not picked up a point in his last three games.

Michael Cammalleri scored the only goal of the game in New Jersey's 1-0 win over Washington.

Cammalleri has collected four points in his last three games since returning from a jaw injury. The 32-year-old has been very productive this season. Cammalleri now has seven goals and 11 points in 11 games this season. He won't be able to keep producing at a point-per-game pace, but he should continue to see plenty of time on the power play. A 55 to 60 point season is not out of the question for Cammalleri.
