Ray Emery made 21 saves in the Flyers’ 7-4 win over the Leafs on Saturday night.
Emery did what he could to make this a little interesting, despite the Flyers' domination of this game from the start. Steve Mason could be out a few more games, but Rob Zepp is expected to get the start Sunday. If he performs well, don’t be surprised to see Zeep get another one, too. Emery has a 3.13 goals-against average and .894 save percentage this season. Dec 20 - 10:11 PM

Date:

Ray Emery will get the start in goal on Saturday in Toronto.

Steve Mason, the Flyers usual number one goalie, suffered an upper body injury in practice on Friday so it will be Eery. He is 5-4-1 this season with a 3.05 GAA and a .899 save percentage. Not exactly an exciting reason to put him in your net in fantasy hockey.
Dec 20 - 9:21 AM

Ray Emery made 17 saves on 18 shots to claim a 4-1 victory over New Jersey on Thursday night to notch his first win since Oct. 28.

44 days and four losses have passed since Emery led the Flyers to a win, but Thursday night the veteran goaltender was steady enough to hold off a quiet Devils offense. Emery is 5-4-1 with a .899 save percentage and 3.05 goals against average.
Dec 11 - 11:03 PM

Ray Emery will start for the Flyers on Thursday versus New Jersey.

It's his first appearance since Nov. 29 when he allowed four goals in a 5-2 loss to the Rangers. Emery owns an .896 save percentage and a 3.28 goals-against average in 10 games this season.
Dec 11 - 2:20 PM

Ray Emery allowed four goals on 34 shots in Philadelphia's 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

The Flyers have really been struggling of late. They have now lost four games in a row, and eight of their last nine to close out the month of November. Emery hasn't won a game since October 28th. He is now 4-4-1 with a 3.28 goals-against-average and a .896 save percentage. Starter Steve Mason hasn't been fantastic either, but Emery's play doesn't merit him getting more starts.
Nov 29 - 4:05 PM

Ray Emery allowed three goals on 29 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Wild on Thursday night.

Emery has lost his last three starts and has seen his record drop to 4-3-1 with an .897 save percentage and 3.22 goals against average. He allowed the game winner with just 46 seconds remaining.
Nov 20 - 11:29 PM

As expected, Ray Emery will start Thursday's match versus Minnesota.

Steve Mason was in the Flyers' crease for Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the Rangers. Emery hasn't started since Nov. 15 when he allowed six goals in a 6-3 loss to Montreal.
Nov 20 - 5:10 PM

Ray Emery was roughed up for six goals on 28 shots in the Flyers’ 6-3 loss to the Canadiens on Saturday night.

Making his first start since Oct. 30, Emery looked rusty. He doesn’t play on a team that will give him much help in the defense department, but this was the type of night that their netminder wasn’t too overwhelmed. Emery gave up three on even strength and three on eight power-play shots. He’s lost his past two starts, giving up 10 goals. Emery has a 3.25 goals-against average and .898 save percentage this season.
Nov 15 - 10:32 PM

Flyers' head coach Craig Berube confirmed that Ray Emery will get the start against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.

Emery hasn't started a game since October 30th. He has a 4-1-1 record with a 2.74 goals-against-average and a .915 save percentage.
Nov 15 - 5:35 PM

Ray Emery will probably play between the pipes on Saturday.

Steve Mason is starting in Friday's contest. Emery has a 2.74 GAA and .915 save percentage in six games in 2014-15.
Nov 14 - 1:30 PM

Ray Emery made 28 saves on 32 shots in Philadelphia's 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay on Thursday night.

Emery had won his previous four games, but the fun had to end sooner or later. Emery is now 4-1-1 with a .915 save percentage and 2.74 goals against average. The veteran is now vulnerable to losing playing time to the Flyers' starter Steve Mason.
Oct 30 - 11:23 PM

Ray Emery will tend to Philadelphia's goal again on Thursday against Tampa Bay.

It will mark his fourth consecutive start for the Flyers and he'll be seeking his fifth straight win. Emery owns a 4-0-1 record with a .924 save percentage and a 2.44 goals-against average this season.
Oct 30 - 5:04 PM

Ray Emery was exceptional in goal for the Flyers on Tuesday as he turned aside 38 of 40 shots in a 3-2 overtime victory against the Kings.

Emery's emergence shouldn't be a massive surprise since Steve Mason's 2013-14 campaign looked like an anomaly as compared to his recent history. Given the injuries the Flyers have suffered on the blue line, there's a good chance he'll have every opportunity to maintain he starting role for as long as he is playing this well. With four straight victories, his record now stands at 4-0-1 while his GAA is 2.44 and his save percentage is .924.
Oct 28 - 10:06 PM

Ray Emery will get the nod against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.

Emery has a 1.70 GAA and .947 save percentage in his six career contests against Los Angeles. He has a 2.60 GAA and .914 save percentage in four games this season.
Oct 28 - 11:16 AM

Ray Emery made 35 saves in the Flyers’ 4-2 win over the Red Wings on Saturday night.

Emery has now made the last two starts for Philadelphia, both of which are wins, and he has three straight wins on the season. This was his best outing of the year, single-handedly keeping the Flyers in it. It would not be surprising to see the Flyers turn to him again Tuesday at the Kings. He has a 2.60 goals-against average and .914 save percentage this season.
