Ray Emery (lower body) has been activated from the injured reserve list.
That's based on what the roster on the Flyers' website is showing at least. It would make sense given that Philadelphia has already sent Anthony Stolarz to the minors, leaving the Flyers with two goatlenders including Emery. Mar 2 - 11:28 AM

Ray Emery (lower body) was on the ice Friday.

"It's good to get on the ice," Emery said. "I felt pretty good on the ice. Hopefully, it's consistent progress from here on." Although Emery doesn't have a firm timetable, he won't be back until Tuesday at the earliest. When he's back, he'll serve as Steve Mason's understudy.
Feb 27 - 1:52 PM

Ray Emery (lower body) has been placed on injured reserve.

He was moved to Philadelphia's IR list, so the team could activate Steve Mason. Emery wasn't able to play Tuesday because of a lower-body injury. He has a 10-10-4 record with an .893 save percentage and a 3.15 GAA in 26 games this season.
Feb 26 - 2:27 PM

Ray Emery is dealing with a lower-body injury.

Emery didn't travel with the Flyers to Carolina for Tuesday's game. Steve Mason (knee) will return and serve as Rob Zepp's backup for that contest.
Feb 23 - 5:36 PM

Look for Ray Emery to get the start in goal for Philadelphia Sunday.

The netminder is 10-10-4 this season with a 3.15 GAA and a .893 save percentage. He will face Washington where he has not had a lot of success of late as he is 1-3-0 in his last five with a 5.40 GAA. Start him at your own risk.
Feb 22 - 9:08 AM

Ray Emery made 30 saves on 32 shots but was beaten twice more in the shootout to hand the victory to the Buffalo Sabres.

Emery falls to 10-10-4 this season with an .893 save percentage and 3.15 goals against average. He has gone 2-1-3 since Steve Mason went down with a knee injury.
Feb 19 - 11:14 PM

Ray Emery will get the start versus the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night.

Emery comes in with a 10-10-3 record with 66 goals against in 25 games this season. He's also 3-5-2 over his last 10 starts with 25 goals against. Including a one-goal win over these Sabres on Sunday.
Feb 19 - 7:23 PM

Ray Emery was beaten for four goals on 24 shots in a disappointing loss to Columbus on Tuesday night.

The Flyers badly outshot Columbus in this game, but Emery lost the goaltending battle to counterpart Curtis McElhinney, which cost his team the game. The former Senator and Blackhawk has now managed just one win in his last four starts and may take a backseat to Rob Zepp in the Flyers' next game.
Feb 17 - 10:04 PM

Ray Emery appears to be the likely start for the Flyers as they take on the Blue Jackets on Tuesday night.

It's been a tough season for Emery, whose gone 10-9-2 with 62 goals against over 24 games this season. His career against the Blue Jackets as a Flyer isn't any better, he's allowed 14 goals in just three games with no wins. You may want to find a more favorable matchup.
Feb 17 - 5:35 PM

Ray Emery stopped 21 of 22 shots in Sunday's 2-1 win over Buffalo.

Only Nikita Zadorov was able to beat Emery, and that goal was scored on the power play. Emery is now 2-0-2 in his last four starts and he has allowed more than two goals just once in that span. The Flyers are now five points behind Boston for the final playoff spot in the East. Philadelphia is 6-0-3 in their last nine games and they will need Emery to play lights out if they want to make the post-season. The 32-year-old has a 10-9-3 record with a 3.17 goals-against-average and a .893 save percentage.
Feb 15 - 10:24 PM

Ray Emery will be between the pipes for Sunday's game against Buffalo.

Emery has dropped two straight overtime decisions coming into this game. The 32-year-old has a 9-9-3 record with a 3.29 goals-against-average and a .890 save percentage.

Feb 15 - 2:10 PM

Ray Emery allowed four goals on 33 shots in Philadelphia's 4-3 overtime loss to Columbus on Friday night.

Emery has been thrust into the starters role because Steve Mason is sidelined with a lower-body injury. The Flyers' goaltender allowed just one goal in two-plus periods, but the Jackets eventually tied the game in regulation and won it in overtime. As bad as his overall numbers are, Emery is 1-0-2 in three games since Mason was injured. The 32-year-old's record falls to 9-9-3 on the season.
Feb 13 - 9:58 PM

Ray Emery will get the start against Columbus on Friday night.

Emery comes into the match 9-9-2 with 57 goals against through 22 games this season, and his career against Columbus isn't much better. He's 3-2-0 with 18 goals against in five starts since 2010. However, he's also allowed two or fewer goals in each of his last four starts overall. Considering how poor Columbus is doing this season, this could be a better play than originally thought.
Feb 13 - 5:37 PM

Ray Emery did his best to hold off the Canadiens Tuesday, but he suffered a defeat despite blocking 39 of 41 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss.

Despite not coming away with a win in this contest, Emery is slated to be the one and only option for the Flyers over the coming weeks thanks to injuries suffered by Steve Mason and Rob Zepp. The situation would have to become rather dire for the team to turn to Anthony Stolarz on a regular basis.
Feb 10 - 10:55 PM

Ray Emery will face the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia comes in sitting in proverbial purgatory by being nine points out of the final Wild Card slot, but also 19 points better than last place Buffalo. Now with Ray Emery as the primary goalie, the Flyers' season seems poised to head in only one direction. The 32 year old netminder owns a 9-9-1 record through 21 games with 55 goals against.
