Tim Jackman might not end up being in the minors for too long.
"He needs to play," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "This is the advantage of having a farm team in San Diego. He can go down and play a game. He played seven minutes the first game, he played and five minutes the second game. That’s not enough time for a big man to play." The two games Boudreau mentioned were the only NHL contests Jackman has been in this season. Wed, Nov 4, 2015 08:32:00 AM

Tim Jackman and Joe Piskula will be scratched for Thursday's tilt against the Blues.

If Jackman is able to sustain his penalty-per-game pace, he'll be a boon for reverse leaguers. Unfortunately, he's seen just a pair of contests thus far. So we don't think he should be high on your watch list.

Tim Jackman will sub in for Patrick Maroon on Tuesday against the Stars.

This will be only Jackman's second game of the season, and it shouldn't surprise you that he doesn't have much to show for his efforts. He did however have 86 PIMs and 104 hits in 55 games last season. Maroon meanwhile has had a season to forget through eight games, with just a point and little else.

Tim Jackman and Korbinian Holzer will be healthy scratches for Anaheim's game against Nashville.

Both players have played in just one game each for the Ducks this season. They won't have any fantasy value going forward.

The Anaheim Ducks are expected to roll the same lineup on Tuesday night in Game Two as they did in Game One on Sunday against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Forwards Tim Jackman and Tomas Fleischmann will be joined by defenders James Wisniewski and Korbinian Holzer, along with goalie Jason LaBarbera in the press box to cheer on their mates. Of note, only Jackman and Fleischmann have seen postseason action during these playoffs and have combined for a point in 13 games.

Jackman is a tough fourth line player who has five goals and seven points with 84 penalty minutes, despite seeing double digit minutes in only 12 games this season. The 33-year old has 109 hits in 52 games as well. He is worth picking up in pools that use penalty minutes as a category.

His new extension will pay him $700,000. In 48 games this campaign, Jackman has generated seven points, 84 penalty minutes and 95 hits.

Tim Jackman netted a goal in Anaheim's 6-3 win over Calgary Wednesday night.

Jackman has four goals and six points in 39 contests this season. He has very little fantasy value in standard leagues. He is a decent source of penalty minutes with 72 so far this season, but his near complete lack of offensive upside typically makes him a poor choice when compared to the alternatives available.
