The Anaheim Ducks are hoping that Tim Jackman (leg) will start skating again in a week.

Jackman suffered the injury on March 1 and was projected to miss four-six weeks. He has been rehabbing with off-ice workouts. Jackman has 84 penalty minutes this season and has chipped in with seven points in 53 games.
Mar 14 - 4:31 AM

Tim Jackman is slated to miss four-to-six weeks due to a leg injury.

He was hurt in Sunday's game against Dallas and sat out Tuesday's match as a result. Jackman has seven points and 84 penalty minutes in 53 games this season.
Mar 4 - 3:04 PM

Tim Jackman was injured in Sunday's game against Dallas.

Jackman suffered a lower-body injury after colliding with Stars' forward Ales Hemsky. The team has already announced that he will not return to the game.
Mar 1 - 8:33 PM

Tim Jackman led both teams in hits on Friday with six.

Jackman is a tough fourth line player who has five goals and seven points with 84 penalty minutes, despite seeing double digit minutes in only 12 games this season. The 33-year old has 109 hits in 52 games as well. He is worth picking up in pools that use penalty minutes as a category.
Feb 28 - 7:29 AM

Tim Jackman has signed a one-year deal with the Ducks.

His new extension will pay him $700,000. In 48 games this campaign, Jackman has generated seven points, 84 penalty minutes and 95 hits.
Feb 19 - 1:21 PM

Tim Jackman netted a goal in Anaheim's 6-3 win over Calgary Wednesday night.

Jackman has four goals and six points in 39 contests this season. He has very little fantasy value in standard leagues. He is a decent source of penalty minutes with 72 so far this season, but his near complete lack of offensive upside typically makes him a poor choice when compared to the alternatives available.
Jan 22 - 8:41 AM

Tim Jackman, Colby Robak, and Mark Fistric are all expected to healthy scratches Friday night against New Jersey.

Robak and Fistric have no points in 20 combined games this season, and while Jackman has just five points to his name, he also has 67 PIMs and 79 hits through 37 games this season.
Jan 16 - 9:47 PM

Tim Jackman found the back of the net in a 5-4 shootout win against Winnipeg.

It was Jackman's first point in nearly a month. He has three goals and five points in 36 contests in 2014-15. Don't expect him to do any better going forward.
Jan 12 - 10:37 AM

Tim Jackman, Colby Robak, and Mark Fistric, will all be healthy scratches against the New York Rangers on Wednesday.

Jackman is most effective as a fighter, and the Rangers don't have one. So he's an easy one to sit, especially since Coach Boudreau wants to get Devante Smith-Pelly back into the lineup. Robak and Fistric have no fantasy value.
Jan 7 - 8:53 PM

Tim Jackman is expected to play Wednesday against the Sharks.

Jackman won't be lighting up the lamp too much, but he'll certainly spread some red over the glass or ice if given the chance. Through 32 games he has 60 PIMs and 71 hits.

Tim Jackman (concussion) is considered questionable for Wednesday's game.

Jackman skated with the Ducks on Tuesday. He's missed two straight games due to the injury. With two goals and four points in 32 contests in 2014-15, Jackman obviously doesn't have any fantasy value.

Tim Jackman has a concussion although coach Bruce Boudreau would not come right out and say so.

Jackman was injured when he was punched by John Scott of the Sharks in the jaw, a move that cost Scott a four game suspension. "I think we all know what the injury is," Boudreau conceded. Consider Jackman day-to-day at best.

Tim Jackman is "under evaluation" by Anaheim's doctors after John Scott hit him viciously with the butt-end of his stick across Jackman's jaw. He will not return to the game.

As Sharks forward Andrew Desjardins was bumping Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen while he stopped play, Scott decided to turn around and whack Jackman across the jaw for no apparent reason. Inexplicably, Scott was not penalized and Jackman left the game having skated just 3:38 with one hit.

Tim Jackman had a goal and an assist in the Ducks 5-4 win Friday.

Normally when we write about Jackman it's to tell about his fighting prowess and not his offense but it was a different story on Friday as Jackman also managed to put five shots on net. He now has two goals and an assist this season with 44 penalty minutes in 24 games. "It was fun to help out on the scoresheet," Jackman said. "I don’t get to do it too often so when I do, it’s always fun. Kesler made a great breakout pass and I just went and tried shooting the puck at the net and it came back to me. I just shot it again and it went in. It was a great feeling." If he was in your lineup, you just picked up a nice bonus.
