Date:

Jeff Deslauriers has been sent down to the ECHL.

It looks like Viktor Fasth will at least be able to serve as the backup goaltender on Saturday. Deslauriers has a 2.57 GAA and .915 save percentage in eight ECHL games this season.

Anaheim Ducks recall Jeff Deslauriers from ECHL Fort Wayne.

Deslauriers is scheduled to back up Jonas Hiller, who will start Tuesday after Viktor Fasth suffered an upper-body injury. Thankfully the Ducks are in Minnesota so the trip isn't too long for Deslauriers to make at the last minute. According to Wild beat writer Michael Russo, the Ducks also have local goalie Zach Sakich in reserve in case Deslauriers doesn't arrive in time.

Anaheim Ducks assign Jeff Deslauriers to ECHL Fort Wayne.

Deslauriers spent 10 days in the NHL while Jonas Hiller was hurt, but he had no place on the roster with Hiller now healthy.

Look for Jeff Deslauriers to be sent to the minors with the return of Jonas Hiller to the Anaheim lineup.

Deslauriers was up in the NHL for 10 days but with Hiller coming out of Monday's game healthy, there is no reason for the Ducks to have three goalies on their roster. Deslauriers had a great seat to watch the games as he did not see any action.
Feb 19 - 6:16 AM

Jeff Deslauriers has been recalled from the minors to back up Viktor Fasth on Saturday.

Jonas Hiller is being listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury after leaving Friday night's game as a precaution.
Feb 9 - 3:32 PM

Jeff Deslauriers has been placed on waivers by the Anaheim Ducks.

Deslauriers will be sent to the minors if he clears waivers. He was a candidate to make the Ducks as their backup goaltender, but it looks like that won't be the case. He still might get called up at some point this season if one of Anaheim's goaltenders suffers an injury.
Jan 17 - 8:52 AM

Jeff Deslauriers will be the Anaheim this week after the Ducks sent Viktor Fasth to the minors.

Deslauriers will likely be sent down to Norfolk once the Ducks get Fasth back to the big club. Deslauriers is just a depth goalie at this time as the Ducks signed Fasth in the off-season as the second goalie to Jonas Hiller.
Jan 15 - 5:35 AM

Jeff Deslauriers has signed a professional tryout contract with the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.

He appeared in four games with the Ducks last season and played 16 contests with the Syracuse Crunch in the minors.
Jan 2 - 9:44 AM

Jeff Deslauriers has been put on waivers by the Anaheim Ducks.

If there's a 2012-13 NHL season, then Deslauriers will compete with Viktor Fasth for the backup job in Anaheim. That being said, Fasth should be considered the favorite in that battle.

Jeff Deslauriers could be packing his bags before the start of the next season.

The Anaheim Ducks on Monday signed Viktor Fasth out of the Swedish Elite League to be their back up to Jonas Hiller. Deslaueriers has a one-way contract, meaning the only chances he has at sticking in Anaheim is if he beats Fasth for the No. 2 job in training came or clears waivers and is sent down to the AHL. That leaves open the chance that he could be on the moved. General manager Bob Murray wouldn't discuss the topic, simply saying "that there will be competition in goal." Deslauriers, in four games with the Ducks, went 3-1-0 with a 2.74 goals-against average and .902 save percentage.

Jeff Deslauriers has been sent down to the AHL.

The Ducks season is over, so Deslauriers might as well help the Syracuse Crunch. He had a 2.74 GAA and .903 save percentage in four starts with Anaheim this season.
Mon, Apr 9, 2012 09:42:00 AM

Jeff Deslauriers made 24 saves in the Anaheim Ducks' 3-2 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.

Deslauriers has a grand total of four starts this season, but he has won three of them, none of his performances as good as this one, though. It's been a long, disappointing year for the Ducks, who end their season Saturday at the Calgary Flames.
Fri, Apr 6, 2012 01:27:00 AM

Jeff Deslauriers will be between the pipes Thursday against his former teammates in Edmonton.

He has skated in three games with Ducks this season, while compiling a 2-1-0 record, an .897 save percentage and a 3.00 goals-against average. Jonas Hiller, who has started in a league-leading 72 games entering Thursday's action, will get the night off and probably return in the team's season finale on Saturday.
Thu, Apr 5, 2012 03:47:00 PM

Jeff Deslauriers wasn't too sharp Saturday night, allowing four goals on 29 shots in the Anaheim Ducks' 4-0 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes.

No. 1 netminder Jonas Hiller, with 70 starts, needs to breathe sometimes, so he was given the night off. Deslauriers has just three starts in the NHL this season -- with two wins -- and has spent most of the year in the AHL
