Scottie Upshall registered a goal and two assists in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
That was an unexpected offensive outburst by the veteran forward, who's first goal of the season gave the Blues a 2-0 lead in the second frame. He then helped set up third period goals by Joel Edmundson and Kyle Brodziak. Upshall finished the game with a plus-2 rating and two shots on goal in 12:53 of ice time. The 34-year-old has five points in 12 games this season. He won't be adding in any fantasy format. Oct 29 - 12:29 AM

Scottie Upshall feels right back at home now that he's signed with St. Louis.

Upshall went unsigned over the summer and ended up attending Vancouver's training camp on a tryout basis. The Blues have dealt with more than their fair share of injuries already though, which led to them signing Upshall for a third straight season with the club. "It’s just nice to be back in this room with these guys," Upshall said. "Nothing’s changed. Our focus and attention to detail is the same as it was last year, and we’ve just got to keep building on it." Upshall's expected to serve in a bottom-six role though, so his fantasy value will be very limited. He logged 10:09 minutes in his season debut on Wednesday.

Scottie Upshall has signed a one-year, one-way contract with the St. Louis Blues.

Upshall wasn't expected to be back with the Blues for a third straight season, but injuries have opened the door for him. He had 10 goals and eight helpers in 73 games last year.

It appears free-agent forward Scottie Upshall is on the verge of signing with the St. Louis Blues.

Upshall skated with the Blues today, and will reportedly have a meeting with both head coach Mike Yeo and general manager Doug Armstrong. Upshall was recently released from his professional tryout with the Canucks and is getting attention from the Blues after it was announced that forward Robby Fabbri would miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury. Regardless if he signs or not, Upshall will not have any fantasy value this season.

The St. Louis Blues have reportedly signed Scottie Upshall.

Upshall was attending Vancouver Canucks training camp on a professional tryout. He was scheduled to play in Vancouver's game tonight, but he was made a late scratch. The signing makes sense for the St. Louis, as they've been hit hard by injuries this preseason. Forwards Alex Steen, Zach Sanford and Robby Fabbri (out for the season) are all currently banged up. Upshall spent the last two years with the Blues, which means there's some familiarity between the two sides. The 33-year-old had 10 goals and 18 points in 73 games in 2016-17. He has no fantasy value.
Sep 28 - 10:58 PM

Scottie Upshall has agreed to a professional tryout offer with the Vancouver Canucks.

Upshall had 10 goals, 18 points, and 45 penalty minutes in 73 games with the St. Louis Blues last season. He's got a fair shot of making the Canucks as a bottom-six forward.

Scottie Upshall wants to continue playing in the NHL.

The 33-year-old became an unrestricted free agent on July 1st, but he still hasn't landed a new gig. "There’s a hunger with staying in the NHL and winning a Stanley Cup, helping a team get to the next level. I’ve done that my whole career," Upshall said. "There’s been some talks lately, more than earlier in the summer. Every time I’m out on the ice, it’s an audition. You never know. There’s a lot of guys here who have a lot of say on their respective clubs." He had 10 goals and eight assists in 73 games with the St. Louis Blues last season. Even if he's able to latch on with a new team, he won't have any fantasy value.

Scottie Upshall is eligible for unrestricted free agency in July.

He made $900,000 this past season so he would probably be affordable if the Blues wanted to bring him back for another year. "I don't know," he said of his future. "It hasn't really been discussed. I was looking forward to having a conversation with Army and the coaching staff. I still feel like I can play. I look forward to the summer, another good summer of training, getting better, putting myself in a good spot for free agency."

Scotti Upshall and Kyle Brodziak will be scratched from Sunday's season finale against Colorado.

Scottie Upshall scored a goal and registered an assist in a 5-4 shootout win against Carolina on Saturday.

Alexander Steen, Ivan Barbashev, and Ryan Reaves each found the back of the net for St. Louis. Vladimir Tarasenko and Alex Pietrangelo assisted on two of St. Louis' four goals in regulation time. Tarasenko also netted the deciding goal in the shootout.
Apr 8 - 10:40 PM

Scottie Upshall has been credited with the Blues' second goal in Sunday's 3-0 win over Colorado.

The NHL changed the scoring play as it originally belonged to Kyle Brodziak. Upshall now has seven goals on the season and Brodziak has seven as well.
Mar 7 - 11:30 AM

Scottie Upshall ended a nine-game pointless slump in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Buffalo.

It's the gritty winger's sixth goal and 10th point of the season. In two seasons with St. Louis, Upshall has 12 goals and 24 points.
Feb 18 - 4:22 PM

The St. Louis Blues currently sit in a playoff spot, but they know they need to be better.

"We’re definitely not our best in the face of adversity," forward Scottie Upshall said. "We’re having trouble grabbing key parts of games. We all have to be better. You can’t point a finger at one guy or two guys. We’re a good, solid team built from the ground up, but unfortunately right now we’re struggling to put the pieces together. We have one or two great games and then we find ways to shoot ourselves in the foot. We’re fragile when games get tough, and that’s not a good thing." The Blues have 53 points in 49 games this season, which is good enough to put them in the first Wild Card spot in the West. But with the Kings, Canucks, Stars and Jets all within striking distance, there's no doubt they'll have to pick up their play after the break.
Jan 28 - 10:13 AM

Scottie Upshall and Carl Gunnarsson will be healthy scratches in Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators.

This will be Upshall's third consecutive game as a healthy scratch. As for Gunnarsson, he was activated off injured reserve over the weekend, but he still hasn't gotten back into the lineup since then. Neither player is on the fantasy radar.
