Nov 1 - 7:01 PM

Scottie Upshall was scratched for a second consecutive game.

His place on the fourth line was once again taken by Dmitrij Jaskin. Of Jaskin, Hitchcock had the following to say: "He's played great. This is the best he's played since I've been here. We've just got to get him more ice, we've got to get him playing more times when the game is on the line. I would say he's the one player who's going to bounce up right away if we see it's not going our way." It looks as if Upshall will have a tough time getting back into the lineup.
Oct 30 - 1:22 PM

Scottie Upshall has inked a one-year, $900K contract with the St. Louis Blues.

That's up from the $700K Upshall previously earned. This deal is also a one-way contract in contrast to the two-way one he agreed to last season. Upshall had six goals and 14 points in 70 contests in 2015-16.
Jun 22 - 12:25 PM

Scottie Upshall's upper-body ailment was a broken and dislocated right thumb.

He sustained the ailment in Game 7 against Chicago during the first round. Upshall tapped it up and he stayed in the lineup until he missed three games in the Western Conference Final. The injury restricted what he could do on the ice, but now he has the summer to recover.
May 28 - 4:57 PM

Scottie Upshall (upper body) is skating on the fourth line during Wednesday's pregame warmup.

As expected, Upshall will return to the Blues' lineup. His projected linemates are Kyle Brodziak and Dmitrij Jaskin.
May 25 - 8:46 PM

Scottie Upshall (upper body) is ready to return to the lineup for Game 6 on Wednesday.

Upshall last played on May 17. He has a goal and three points in 16 contests. It's likely that Magnus Paajarvi will be the forward that's scratched to make room for Upshall.

May 23 - 8:07 PM

Scottie Upshall (upper body) said he isn't playing on Monday night.

He has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but there was word that he was healthy enough to play. Upshall was on the ice for the morning skate and he participated in Game 4's pregame warmup. The fact that he isn't playing could mean that David Backes or Robby Fabbri is good to go.
May 23 - 12:42 PM

Scottie Upshall (upper body) isn't expected to be available for Game 4 on Saturday.

Upshall was previously reported as being healthy enough to return, but apparently that's not the case. He has a goal and three points in 16 playoff contests.
May 21 - 5:04 PM

Scottie Upshall will be available to play in Game 4 Saturday night against San Jose.

Uphsall was dealing with an upper-body injury but has been deemed healthy enough to return. Whether he plays Saturday night is a different story. The only line Blues' coach Ken Hitchcock was happy with in Thursday night's 3-0 loss was the fourth line, the unit Upshall usually plays on. So there is a real chance Upshall will be a healthy scratch.
May 21 - 12:10 PM

Scottie Upshall is trying to stay focused on the playoffs, but you will have to excuse him if he's feeling a bit distracted.

The Fort McMurray, Alberta native is concerned by the situation back home, which is which is being devastated by wildfires. About 80,000 people have been evacuated and Upshall has family living there. "I'm just worried about the safety of friends and family, more so at the time, my nieces who were still in Fort McMurray while my brother and his fiancé are here watching us play," he said. "It was a difficult time for a lot of people yesterday. I know there's a lot of help that they've been getting and a lot of people sacrificing time and energy to help the city of Fort McMurray, so it's sad."
May 4 - 5:35 PM

Scottie Upshall scored a goal in Monday night's 7-4 loss to the Calgary Flames.

It was Upshall's sixth goal of the season, giving him ten points in fifty-nine games played this campaign. Upshall's goal was assisted by Colton Parayko and Ryan Reaves.
Mar 15 - 12:40 AM

Scottie Upshall netted a pair of helpers in Sunday's 5-2 win over Carolina.

Upshall is now up to six assists and 11 points on the season, and unfortunately is not much of a fantasy option even in the deepest of leagues.
Feb 28 - 6:10 PM

Scottie Upshall will tag in for Ryan Reaves in Sunday's match with Chicago.

As matchups go, this is a logical move by Coach Ken Hitchcock as Reaves essentially has no one to fight on Chicago. Which isn't to say that Upshall is some sort of maven. He's posted just six points with 16 PIMs and 53 hits in 39 games thus far.
