Sean Bergenheim is still holding out for an NHL contract, according to Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston.
It’s kind of baffling that the 31-year-old has not been able to latch on with a team. While his point production — 19 in 56 games last season — has never been elite, he is a great possession player who makes for an effective bottom-six guy. Oct 3 - 7:36 PM

Sean Bergenheim is reportedly willing to wait on a contract.

Bergenheim has received interest in the form of professional tryouts, according to his agent. However, that isn't a route he wants to take at this time. Bergenheim scored nine goals and 19 points in 56 games with Florida and Minnesota last season.
Sep 17 - 9:45 AM

Sean Bergenheim and Erik Haula will be scratched in Game Three against Chicago on Tuesday night.

Even when they are in the lineup, Bergenheim and Haula can't be advised for your fantasy roster unfortunately.
May 5 - 6:44 PM

Sean Bergenheim, Ryan Carter, Jordan Schoreder, Nate Prosser and Christian Folin will all be healthy scratches in Sunday's game against Chicago.

Minnesota will make one change from Game One to Two. They will insert Erik Haula into the lineup for an injured Justin Fontaine (groin). The Wild had a great second period against the Blackhawks in the first game of the series, but they will need to get off to a better start if they hope to steal a game on the road.

May 3 - 8:00 PM

Sean Bergenheim will take a seat and Matt Cooke tags in for Friday's Game Five versus St. Louis.

Including his three playoff games, Bergenheim has scored just one point, a goal, over 20 games with Minnesota. The veteran Finn may not have been brought him for scoring, but he has to do better than that to stay in the lineup.

Apr 24 - 6:38 PM

Sean Bergenheim is expected to get back in the lineup on Monday.

He was a surprise scratch Saturday as the Wild dressed Matt Cooke and Jordan Schroeder. Bergenheim is projected to join Kyle Brodziak and Justin Fontaine, who missed Game 2 with a stomach bug, on the fourth line. Their returns will put Cooke and Schroeder in the press box.

Sean Bergenheim will continue to get playing time at the expense of Erik Haula and Ryan Carter.

He was excellent on Minnesota's fourth line alongside Kyle Brodziak and Justin Fontaine in Game 1 Thursday and will suit up in that same position Saturday afternoon. Carter and Haula will sit in the pressbox Saturday.
Apr 18 - 11:59 AM

Sean Bergenheim will stay on the fourth line for Game 1 against St. Louis.

He will play with Kyle Brodziak and Justin Fontaine, which will make Ryan Carter a healthy scratch. Bergenheim has enjoyed success in the playoffs before with 12 goals and 17 points in 23 games.
Apr 16 - 1:42 PM

Sean Bergenheim skated with Kyle Brodziak and Justin Fontaine on Wednesday.

He took the spot that had previously been occupied by Ryan Carter, but coach Mike Yeo hasn't decided who will be in the lineup for Game 1 yet. Bergenheim has registered 12 goals and 17 points in 23 playoff games for Tampa Bay and Florida, so that could get him the nod.
Apr 15 - 2:53 PM

Sean Bergenheim will come out of the press box on Thursday.

Bergenheim spent five straight games as a healthy scratch. He has nine goals and 19 points in 54 contests in 2014-15.
Apr 9 - 5:09 PM

Sean Bergenheim, Ryan Carter, and Erik Haula will each be scratched against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night.

It'll be Bergenheim's fifth straight game in the stands. He's posted just a goal and 22 hits over 15 games with the Wild since coming over at the trade deadline. Carter, who's played the last four games since returning from injury, has hit the score sheet with just a minor penalty, four blocks, and five hits. There simply isn't any fantasy value between these three players.
Apr 7 - 7:49 PM

Sean Bergenheim, Erik Haula, Christian Folin and Niklas Backstrom are healthy scratches for Thursday's game against the Rangers.

Bergenheim was acquired from Florida earlier this season but hasn't really produced as much as the Wild hoped. Nate Prosser will miss this game because of an injury.
Apr 2 - 8:14 PM

The Minnesota Wild are sitting Sean Bergenheim in favor of Ryan Carter on Saturday.

The Wild's trade acquisition has just one point in 15 games since joining the Minnesota, so it's no stunner that he's sitting during Saturday's game.
Mar 28 - 12:38 PM

Sean Bergenheim was dropped to the fourth line Tuesday and he responded with his best game as a member of the Wild.

He scored his first goal with his new team after going pointless in his previous six contests. Bergenheim also registered a team-high five shots in Minnesota's 6-2 win over New Jersey.
Mar 11 - 12:39 PM

Sean Bergenheim will play his first game with the Wild Thursday.

He took to the ice with Mikko Koivu and Thomas Vanek at the morning skate. It's a good opportunity for Bergenheim, who hasn't played since Feb. 12, to make a positive first impression. He sat frequently as a healthy scratch before Florida traded him to Minnesota.
