Jiri Hudler is expecting a child with this wife and will be out for Wednesday's game versus the Red Wings.

Hopefully you don't have him in any daily fantasy sites as this news came along pretty late. Congrats to Jiri but this does leave a big hole in the lineup for the Flames. Hudler leads the team with 38 points.

Jiri Hudler picked up two assists as the Flames downed the Kings 2-1 on Monday.

Hudler assisted on Markus Granlund and Curtis Glencross's first period goals that turned out to be all the Flames needed on this night. Hudler now has points in four straight games (6 assists) and continues to be one of the best finds in fantasy hockey this season. His 36 points (13G-23A) are good enough for 13th in the NHL through 37 games. It should be noted that Flames phenom Johnny Gaudreau picked up another helper in a streak that has seen him record a point in four straight games. Ride the hot Flames if you can!

Jiri Hudler picked up his 13th goal of the campaign in the Flames' 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

Jiri Hudler was the first to get the Flames on the board in this contest but by that time the game was essentially over for Calgary. Hudler also added five shots and a couple of PIMS in an all-round solid fantasy day for the winger who has points in four straight games. He's turning out to be a great steal in any draft format. Curtis Glencross picked up the other goal.

Jiri Hudler scored a goal in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Chicago.

Hudler scored the game's first goal in the second period. Johnny Gaudreau and TJ Brodie picked up the assists on Hudler's goal. The 30-year-old's impressive season continues. Hudler now has 12 goals and 29 points in 31 games this season. He's never reached the 60-point mark, but he's currently on pace to score 76 points. The Flames have now lost five games in a row.

This is just an FYI as Flames coach Bob Hartley brushed Hudler's absence off as the forward taking a day off. Hudler is still expected to play Thursday.

Jiri Hudler is riding a five-game point streak.

Hudler had two assists on Tuesday to give him four goals and 10 points during his current streak. "That's the best that I've seen Jiri play since he (became) a Flame," coach Bob Hartley said. "You look at him in our zone. You look at him take care of the kids. He's not only a great player on the ice, he's also been a great leader in the room and around the team. He's a big motor for us. Obviously he's a big part of our hockey club. He's having fun." Hudler has 11 goals and 25 points in 25 games this season.

Jiri Hudler had a hand in all three Flames goals in their 3-0 shutout of the Coyotes on Saturday night.

Hudler scored and assisted two times. He has goals in four straight games. The Czech center is worthy of being started in all lineups right now as he has 11 goals and 23 points in 24 games, easily setting him up for his most productive season. Johnny Gaudreau also scored and added an assist. T.J. Brodie picked up the other marker.

Jiri Hudler scored the game winning goal and added an empty-netter in the Flames’ 2-0 shutout of San Jose on Wednesday.

Hudler took a nifty backhand pass from T.J. Brodie in the slot and snapped it by Antti Niemi for what turned out to be the game-winner. He now has four goals in three games to total ten on the year. The 30 year-old is enjoying his second campaign with the Flames with a somewhat surprising 20 points in 23 games.
