Jiri Hudler remains an unsigned unrestricted free agent.
He generated 16 goals and 46 points in 72 games with Calgary and Florida last season. Hudler is highly unlikely to return to the 0.97 point-per-game form he displayed in 2014-15, but he is capable of producing 50-55 points in the right situation. Jul 29 - 8:50 AM

Jiri Hudler is now up to nine points in 17 games with the Florida Panthers, as they beat Montreal 4-1 on Tuesday night.

Hudler contributed his sixth goal of the season in the effort as well. He's shooting 40% with Florida, so we wouldn't expect that to last. But Hudler may be one of the few hot hands left on the wire this week.

Mar 5 - 7:45 PM

Jiri Hudler won't play in Thursday's game against Colorado because he's still working out his visa issues.

Mar 3 - 9:07 PM

Jiri Hudler will make his Panthers debut on their top line Tuesday against the Jets.

Hudler will skate to the left of Aleksander Barkov and Jaromir Jagr, which ought to create an immediate boost in his middling scoring rates this season. Hudler has posted 10 goals and 35 points with a 12.5 shooting percentage in 53 games with Calgary this season.
Mar 1 - 7:14 PM

The Florida Panthers have acquired Jiri Hudler from the Calgary Flames in exchange for a second-round pick in 2016 and fourth-round pick in 2018.

It's a nice move for the Panthers, who add some scoring depth to their talented roster. Hudler hasn't produced as much as last season, but he's still just one year removed from scoring 31 goals and 76 points in 78 games. The Panthers were also able to acquire him without mortgaging any significant assets. As for Calgary, they sold a player on an expiring contract and managed to grab an additional pick in the second round this season, and a future pick in 2018. On the surface, this looks like a trade that works well for both sides.
Feb 27 - 3:11 PM

It's been a difficult season for the veteran winger who now has just 11 goals and 36 points on the season. But he does have eight points, including three goals over his last 10 games. Which ought to boost his value for inquiring clubs.
Feb 26 - 12:16 AM

Jiri Hudler was spotted leaving warm-ups early on Thursday night against the Islanders, but he hasn't been scratched or traded (yet).

As noted by several Flames beat writers, Hudler is "always the last one off" during warm-ups. So it was natural for they and Flames fans alike to put the dots together. This may yet be his final game with the club, but there are no definitive indications that a trade is imminent either.
