Smith faced 45 shots tonight making it five out of twelve games where he’s faced 40 or more shots. Roman Josi was the only Predator to score on Smith at the 15:50 mark of the first period. Mike Smith excelled once again for the Arizona Coyotes in a 4-1 win against the Nashville Predators.

Smith stopped 44 out of 45 shots on Saturday night. He's been facing a huge volume of shots on goal lately, and has kept the Coyotes games they haven't always deserved to be in. Smith has really carried over momentum from a strong finish to 2015-16.

The Coyotes will stick with Mike Smith in net on Saturday against the Predators.

Smith was stellar for most of the night with a save percentage of .967, but he let the first two shootout goals slip past him in the loss. Dec 1 - 7:12 PM

Mike Smith blocked 40 shots Tuesday night to add some fantasy value, but he let two get past in a 2-1 overtime loss of the Arizona Coyotes to the San Jose Sharks.

The loss might have been inevitable as Smith did not get much defensive help. He faced 13 shots in the first, 16 in the second, and 12 in the third versus 5-5-9 on the other end of the ice. For that reason, he was probably a little tired in overtime as it took just 19 seconds for Brent Burns to riffle the one and only shot of overtime past him.
