Christian Ehrhoff enjoyed a great game for the Sabres in a 5-4 shootout win over Toronto Thursday.

Ehrhoff registered a pair of assists before scoring his third goal of the season with a man advantage in the third period. Tyler Ennis also picked up a goal and an assist in the win while Marcus Foligno and Jason Pominville also found the back of the net. Cody Hodgson contributed by dishing out a pair of helpers.

Christian Ehrhoff has been a workhorse on Buffalo's back end, with an average ice time of 24:33 this campaign.

"I feel comfortable," said Ehrhoff, who sits 24th overall in the NHL in average ice time per match. "Obviously, I like playing a lot." He also leads the Sabres with a plus-6 rating, is tied for second with eight assists and ranks fifth with 10 points during his 15 appearances this season. The Sabres and his fantasy owners would probably be happier if he could add some more power-play points, as he has no goals and three assists with the man advantage this year, but he has been solid despite the team's early difficulties.
Feb 19 - 7:48 AM

Christian Ehrhoff played over 27 minutes and had a +2 rating Thursday after missing one game with an undisclosed injury.

Ehrhoff continues to lead the team's defensemen in ice time at over 24 minutes a game. He has five assists, six penalty minutes and a +4 rating in 10 games this season.

Feb 5 - 12:39 PM

The status of Christian Ehrhoff is a bit of a mystery going into Tuesday's game against Ottawa.

Five players sat out Monday's optional practice, including Ehrhoff, Jason Pominville, Cody Hodgson, Jochen Hecht and Steve Ott. Sabres bench boss Lindy Ruff said there are "a couple guys that are nicked up that may be doubtful" for Tuesday. Buffalo also called up Adam Pardy Monday evening. Ehrhoff played the whole game on Sunday versus Florida. We'll keep you posted on any lineup news following the team's morning skate.
Feb 5 - 8:10 AM

Christian Ehrhoff registered his fifth assist of season while playing over 24 minutes Thursday.

Ehrhoff's five points put him on pace for a 34-point season, which is likely unrealistic, but the pace is encouraging after a disappointing first season in Buffalo. He's played 23-plus minutes if four of the Sabres' seven games and has a +2 rating. Ehrhoff was impressive playing overseas during the lockout and it might be time for owners in most formats to give him a look.
Feb 1 - 8:59 AM

Christian Ehrhoff produced an assist for Krefeld Pinguine, who defeated Eisbaren Berlin 4-3 (SO) on Sunday.

Ehrhoff has been impressive in his home country so far this season, scoring eight goals and 26 points in 30 games. We'll see if he gets a chance to carry over that momentum into the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres this season.

Christian Ehrhoff continues to excel in Germany.

The Sabre defenseman decided to go home to play during the lockout and has 14 points in 17 games for the Krefeld Penguins, a team he had played on before he came to the NHL. We expect Ehrhoff to have a bounce back season in Buffalo after a lackluster 2011-12 campaign, if and when the NHL resumes play.

Christian Ehrhoff scored two goals in Krefeld Pinguine's 3-1 victory over Hannover Scorpions.

Ehrhoff has six goals and nine points in 11 DEL games. He'll rejoin the Buffalo Sabres once the lockout is over.

Christian Ehrhoff is in Germany finalizing a deal with the Krefeld Pinguine of the German elite league.
