Christian Ehrhoff will be a game-time decision on Tuesday after his ear was sliced by a puck during Sunday's game in Philadelphia.

He needed about 40 stitches to repair the damage, but coach Ted Nolan said that it didn't appear as though Ehrhoff suffered any other head injury from the shot.
Apr 8 - 7:57 AM

Christian Ehrhoff had an assist in Buffalo's 4-1 loss on Saturday.

Ehrhoff snapped a six-game point drought. He now has six goals and 30 points in 65 games this season. He should roughly maintain his season-long points pace for the rest of 2013-14.
Mar 16 - 9:26 AM

Christian Ehrhoff has provided the Buffalo Sabres with a list of eight teams he's not willing to be traded to.

Ehrhoff was asked by Buffalo to produce the list as his modified no-trade clause gives him the right to limit the number of teams the Sabres can negotiate with. The Sabres are willing to trade almost anyone on the team and Ehrhoff isn't reading too much into Buffalo's actions. "They obviously want to be prepared come trade deadline," he said. "We'll see where it will take us."
Feb 28 - 12:03 PM

Christian Ehrhoff scored the opening goal and was credited with the winner as well in Buffalo's 3-2 win over Carolina on Tuesday night.

Ehrhoff's game winner came with just 44 seconds left in the game when he made a centering pass that was tipped in by a Hurricanes defenseman. His pair knocks up his season total to six goals and 21 assists through 56 games. Four of those goals have come in the past eight games.
Feb 25 - 9:43 PM

Christian Ehrhoff had an assist in Buffalo's 7-1 loss on Saturday.

Ehrhoff started February on a positive note - or at least as positive a note as is possible when your team losing 7-1 - after a strong January where he recorded nine points in 12 games. He now has four goals and 24 points in 52 contests. At this rate he has an outside of shot of finishing the season as the team's scoring leader, which honestly says more about Buffalo than it does Ehrhoff.
Feb 2 - 9:25 AM

Christian Ehrhoff is back in Buffalo's lineup for Saturday afternoon's match-up against Colorado.

He missed Thursday's game due to an illness and he was listed as a game-time decision for Saturday. Ehrhoff was hoping to play and he got his wish.

Feb 1 - 10:04 AM

Christian Ehrhoff was too ill to play Thursday night.

He didn't take part in the team's morning skate as well. Ehrhoff, who has been playing much better of late, should be considered day-to-day for now. He has two goals and seven assists in his past 11 games.
Jan 31 - 6:45 AM

Christian Ehrhoff will be game-time decision Thursday because of an illness.

He missed the team's morning skate because he was feeling "under the weather," according to interim coach Ted Nolan.
Jan 30 - 6:53 PM

Christian Ehrhoff has been playing some strong hockey for the Sabres' defense lately.

After a very rough November (3 points, 12 games, -7 rating), Ehrhoff has stepped it up with 15 points in 23 games and a +1 rating in the two months since. Under contract until 2022, Germany's Olympic captain needs more months like December and January to reach the 50-point plateau as he did with the Canucks in 2009-10.
Jan 28 - 8:11 PM

Christian Ehrhoff's three points powered the Sabres to a 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

The defenseman scored short-handed in the first and assisted on two more goals. Ehrhoff has three goals and 19 assists on the season. Cody Hodgson also scored and chipped in with an assist. Steve Ott, Matt Ellis and Marcus Foligno netted the other goals in the win.
Jan 25 - 10:35 PM

Don't be surprised if you don't see Christian Ehrhoff on the scoresheet Saturday night.

Buffalo coach Ted Nolan believes the veteran blueliner may be trying too hard to create offence by jumping into the play at inopportune times. As a result, Ehrhoff could be held back a little against Columbus Saturday night and perhaps going forward. "We need good leadership from him. We need good, steady play. When you go into games, you know exactly what you're going to get," Nolan said. "Sometimes I think Chris presses too much, wants to help out too much, he wants to do a little too much versus just doing what he can do and being patient within his abilities. We had a nice conversation about that today."
Jan 18 - 8:57 AM

Christian Ehrhoff scored the overtime winner for the Sabres in a 3-2 victory over the Maple Leafs, adding an assist on the tying goal too.

Ehrhoff has been struggling lately, owning a -9 rating and just five points in 25 coming into Friday’s game. He now has seven points in 26 games.
