Christian Ehrhoff and Jordan Weal will draw back into the lineup Sunday against the Hurricanes.
It's been a trying season for both players. This will only be Weal's third game of the season, while Ehrhoff has but five points in his previous 15 games. The veteran defender has the talent, but the tank may be running on fumes. Nov 22 - 12:57 PM

Christian Ehrhoff and Jordan Weal will be scratched from Friday's match with the Red Wings.

This will be the third time in nine games Ehrhoff will take a seat in the stands, and when you look at his stat sheet it's easy to see why. The veteran defender has but five points and 10 PIMs through 15 games.

Christian Ehrhoff was made a late scratch in Tuesday's match with the Flyers.

No word on why the veteran defenseman Ehrhoff was removed from the lineup, but he's posted just five helpers in 15 games so far this season. Derek Forbort took his place.
Nov 17 - 7:25 PM

Christian Ehrhoff picked up an assist in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Islanders.

This was Ehrhoff's first chance to bounce back after being listed as a healthy scratch in the Kings' previous two games. He's had some great seasons, but his role with Los Angeles isn't big enough to make him a good bet going forward.
Nov 13 - 10:59 AM

Christian Ehrhoff and Jordan Weal will be scratched against the Coyotes on Tuesday.

Ehrhoff has put up just a quartet of assists and not much else in 13 games for the Kings so far, suggesting either his injuries or his age has already caught up to him.

Christian Ehrhoff (neck) was able to play Monday.

Ehrhoff left Saturday's contest after being smashed into the boards from behind, but fortunately he escaped with just a stiff neck. He had a minus-three rating in 14:08 minutes worth of ice time Monday night.
Nov 3 - 1:50 AM

Christian Ehrhoff (neck) is probable for Monday's game.

Ehrhoff was slammed into the boards from behind by Nashville's Mike Ribeiro on Saturday and he left that game as a result. However, Ehrhoff was able to practice on Sunday and his problems seem limited to a stiff neck.
Nov 2 - 8:30 AM

Christian Ehrhoff (shoulder) is on the ice during Los Angeles' practice on Sunday.

Ehrhoff left Saturday's win over Los Angeles after being hit by Preds forward Mike Ribeiro. He should be considered day-to-day right now.
Nov 1 - 1:39 PM

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Christian Ehrhoff left Saturday's game against the Nashville Predators and won't return because of an upper-body injury.

It was a questionable hit by Ribeiro. Ribeiro only received a minor penalty for boarding, but perhaps this could mean more. The Kings have to be concerned considering Ehrhoff's injury struggles, especially stemming from 2014-15.
Oct 31 - 6:25 PM

Christian Ehrhoff recorded an assist in Los Angeles' 4-1 win against San Jose.

It was Ehrhoff's first point in six games this season. At one time he was a great offensive defenseman, but he didn't live up to expectations in 2013-14 or 2014-15. He's still a possibility to reach the 40-point mark, but it would be a significant gamble to take him under the assumption that that's going to happen.
Oct 23 - 10:56 AM

Christian Ehrhoff has officially signed with the Los Angeles Kings.

Ehrhoff's one-year, $1.5 million contract was reported nearly two weeks ago, but now we have confirmation. He had three goals and 14 points in 49 contests last season, but has the potential to do significantly better offensively if he can stay healthy.
Sep 4 - 5:20 PM

The Los Angeles Kings have reportedly signed defenseman Christian Ehrhoff to a one-year, $1.5 million deal.

Injuries limited the German defenseman to just 49 games played in 2014-15, his only season with the Pittsburgh Penguins. That hurt his value, but he could be an interesting deeper option on the Kings.
Aug 23 - 1:46 PM

Christian Ehrhoff remains an unrestricted free agent.

Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports that nothing is imminent, but Ehrhoff is listening to offers from other NHL clubs. He doesn't intend to play in Europe or the KHL at this time.
Aug 14 - 11:15 AM

It appears that all's quiet on the Christian Ehrhoff front when it comes to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Carolina has been cited as a potential destination for Ehrhoff, but only if the Hurricanes can fit him in under the cap. With that in mind, it's possible that Ehrhoff is waiting to see if a better offer presents itself. Carolina might similarly be waiting to find out if he'll lower his demands.
Jul 24 - 4:51 PM

The Blue Jackets have had discussions with free agent Christian Ehrhoff, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

However, the Blue Jackets will wait until his price comes down, which is very possible as he lingers on the market. Columbus has $3.7 million in cap space, according to Ehrhoff made $4 million last season with the Penguins, where he had 14 points in 49 games.
