Travis Moen scored a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Nashville.

Moen got the Stars on the board in the second period to tie the game at one and he also added an assist Colton Sceviour's third period goal. The 32-year-old has now scored in back-to-back games for Dallas. He has nine points in 42 games since being acquired from Montreal earlier this season. "He’s an effective player," coach Lindy Ruff said of Moen. "He’s smart, he knows how to play. He gets around the front of the net and he gets rewarded."

Forward Travis Moen may be back in the Dallas lineup when the Stars visit the Canucks in Vancouver Saturday night.

Dallas coach Lindy Ruff said either Moen or Ryan Garbutt, or both, will return after he made them healthy scratches Wednesday night for a game against Calgary. Moen was taken off injured reserve Monday. On the season, he has a goal and five assists in 40 games. Garbutt has seven goals and 22 points in 60 games. Ruff would not say who would sit out in Vancouver if Moen and-or Garbutt returned.

Moen was just taken off of injured reserve Monday but still cannot crack the Stars lineup having missed the last two games. On the season he has a goal and five assists with 18 penalty minutes in 40 games this year. Garbutt has sat out the last two Stars games but has played in 60 games overall this year, scoring seven goals and 22 points. He appears to have found the dog house.
