Travis Moen (lower body) is expected to play on the fourth line on Friday.

Moen missed five contests due to the injury. With Antoine Roussel suspended, the Stars had an open spot in the lineup, so the timing of Moen's return worked out nicely. Vernon Fiddler also moved up from the fourth to third line due to Roussel's absence.

Travis Moen is expected to return to the Dallas lineup Saturday night against the Blues.

Travis Moen is still not ready to play, and will sit Friday night in Calgary.

Even if he were ready, the once quality rugged lower-six forward simply doesn't score, hit, block, or take enough penalties to be a viable fantasy player.

Travis Moen skated Saturday morning but won't play in the Stars' evening game against the Devils.

Moen has been out of action with an upper-body injury since before the trade that brought him to Dallas. Consider the tough guy day-to-day.

Newly-acquired Travis Moen will not be in the Dallas lineup Saturday afternoon against the Wild.

He needs some more practice time with his new team before suiting up. Moen was acquired by the Stars on Tuesday from the Canadiens for Sergei Gonchar. When Moen does play for Dallas he will be a solid third or fourth-line player with no real fantasy value.

The Dallas Stars have acquired Travis Moen from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Sergei Gonchar.

This is an interesting trade for Dallas given that its blueline was thin to begin with. The Stars have struggled early this season despite high expectations and while Moen is certainly isn't young at 32, this is a somewhat longer term move for Dallas given that Moen is signed through 2015-16. Moen is a bottom-six forward who can help the Stars kill penalties.

Travis Moen will draw back into the Habs' lineup to replace the injured Michael Bournival.

He will play on the Canadiens' fourth line alongside Manny Maholtra and either Dale Weisse or Rene Bourque. As we are sure you are aware, Moen is not worth a fantasy roster spot.

Travis Moen skated on Montreal's fifth line, with Michael Bournival and Christian Thomas, during practice on Tuesday.

He suited up in 65 games with the Canadiens last season, but it looks like he'll be an extra forward when the 2014-15 campaign begins. Moen doesn't have any fantasy value.

With Brandon Prust's suspension, Travis Moen may draw back into the Canadiens' lineup for Game 4 against the Rangers.

Moen brings a Prust-type grittiness to his game and Habs' coach Michel Therrien might prefer to keep that balance in his lineup rather than dress a Michael Bournival, who is more of a speed guy.

Travis Moen was back in Montreal's lineup Tuesday night.

He made his return to the fold from a concussion last Thursday in Game 1 of the second round against Boston. Moen was a healthy scratch in Game 2, but he replaced Brandon Prust for the third match of the series.
