Gregory Campbell signed with the Columbus Blue Jackets for two-years worth $3M.
The veteran Campbell won't light up the lamp much, having tallied just six goals and 12 points over 70 games last season. But Campbell's known for his defensive work, and ability to win face-offs. He won over 53% of his draws last season while blocking 41 shots, and through over a hundred hits (119) for the fifth time in six seasons. Jul 1 - 6:29 PM

He has been told by the team that he'll be testing the open market as a free agent this summer. Campbell was scratched for the last two games of the year and he had 12 points in 70 outings.

Gregory Campbell, Daniel Paille and Joe Morrow are the healthy scratches for Thursday's game against Florida.

The Bruins played last night and Campbell played over 15 minutes in that game so it doesn't look like he's dealing with an injury. None of these three players have fantasy value going forward.
Apr 9 - 7:35 PM

Gregory Campbell will be slotted back in the Bruins lineup Wednesday night against the Capitals.

Campbell was a healthy scratch in Boston’s last game Saturday night but will be back in there Wednesday, replacing Max Talbot. Campbell has always been a very valuable "real-life" player for the Bruins but is not an impactful fantasy player with six goals and six assists in 69 games played this year.
Apr 8 - 8:07 PM

Gregory Campbell and Daniel Paille will be scratched against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

Unfortunately, there isn't much fantasy value to speak of for either veteran forward. Paille has posted six goals, 13 points and 77 hits over 71 games. While Campbell has accumulated 12 points, 45 PIMs, 118 hits, and 54% of his 624 faceoffs over 69 games.

Gregory Campbell temporarily left Thursday's game against Tampa Bay for repairs after an errant puck just missed his right eye.

He returned to the game sporting a visor and didn't know how many stitches he required. "I don't know. It went right to the bone, so it was a few layers, I think," said Campbell. He finished the game with one hit in 9:28 of ice time.
Mar 13 - 8:59 AM

Gregory Campbell (upper body) will return to the lineup on Saturday against Philadelphia.

Campbell has been out of the lineup since February 24th. The 31-year-old has missed four straight games with the injury. He has six goals and three assists in 54 games this season.
Mar 7 - 12:35 PM

Gregory Campbell (upper body) won't play Thursday versus Calgary.

He hasn't played since Feb. 22 due to an upper-body injury. It's believed that he is close to returning.
Mar 5 - 2:03 PM

Gregory Campbell has an upper-body injury.

Campbell is expected to be sidelined for about a week as a result. He has nine points and 41 penalty minutes in 54 contests this season.
Feb 24 - 12:44 PM

There is both good and bad in Gregory Campbell's game so far this season.

If you have Campbell on your squad, you were probably hoping for some contributions in some of the expanded statastics such as faceoff wins and shots. Campbell is certainly doing well in the dot with a 55.3 win percentage. However, his shot total is anemic--29 shots in 30 games. If Campbell is going to be worth rostering he is going to have to direct more shots on the opponents net in the immediate future.

Gregory Campbell has played very well since returning to the Bruins' lineup.

Campbell missed the start of the season with a shoulder injury but has made a nice addition to the lineup. He scored a shorthanded goal on Saturday against Toronto and now has two goals in five games while centering the Bruins' fourth line.

Gregory Campbell (middle body) returned to Boston's lineup Thursday night.

He missed the first five games of the year with a core injury. Campbell posted a minus-1 rating, no shots and two hits in 10:38 of ice time versus Montreal. He missed the first five games of the season and coach Claude Julien was glad to have him back on the fourth line. "You miss anybody who's been in your lineup as a regular," Julien said. "They all bring something to your team. Yeah, we missed him. He's a great penalty-killer, a good shot-blocker, a gritty player. You like to see him in your lineup."

Gregory Campbell (middle body) is on the non-roster injured reserve list.

Campbell had eight goals and 21 points in 82 games in 2013-14. He resumed skating on Thursday after being kept off the ice for most of training camp.

Gregory Campbell skated on Thursday for the first time at camp, but he's still doubtful to be available for Boston's regular season opener due to a core injury.

His absence and Shawn Thornton's departure has created an open competition for spots on the fourth line. Daniel Paille, Jordan Caron, Simon Gagne, Craig Cunningham and Bobby Robins have been competing for a job with the Bruins as a result.
