Gregory Campbell got his first goal of the 2013 playoffs in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The fourth-line center also picked up three hits and a fighting major in the third when he squared off with pugilist Derek Dorsett. Campbell has two points, 11 penalty minutes and 25 hits in nine playoff games. May 20 - 9:43 AM

The Bruins' reunited fourth line of Daniel Paille, Gregory Campbell and Shawn Thornton has carried over its solid late-season play into the playoffs.

The trio wasn't able to be kept together for the entire season because of injuries and other players' struggles, but it's back now and played a big role in the Game 1 win, accounting for 10 of the team's 30 hits and two assists. "Yeah, I think we were pretty good," said Campbell. "At times I guess that’s our job a lot of the time, to create energy, to change momentum, and just be hard to play against. It’s important to be hard on the puck and win battles and do little things well in the playoffs, and that’s kind of the M.O. of our line."
May 3 - 8:54 AM

Gregory Campbell has stepped up nicely while Patrice Bergeron has been out with a concussion.

Campbell has two goals and five points in his last four games. He typically serves as a fourth-line center with the Bruins, but he's pretty good offensively for a player in that role. Bergeron might return as early as Monday and Campbell will fall in the depth charts if he does.
Apr 15 - 7:59 AM

Gregory Campbell notched an assist Thursday night, his fifth point in the last three games.

Campbell's sudden outburst has come while playing with Jaromir Jagr, who has proven over time he can turn just about anyone into an offensive force. This run is unlikely to last given Campbell's career track record, but it certainly makes him an intriguing play in deeper leagues as long as he's skating with No. 68.
Apr 12 - 8:33 AM

Gregory Campbell notched two goals in the Bruins' 5-4 win over the Devils on Wednesday night.

Not the guy you expect to be lighting up the scoresheet, but the Bruins will certainly take the secondary (or shall we say, tertiary) scoring. Campbell's goals were just his fourth of the season, and first since Feb. 26. Daniel Paille had a goal and an assist, while Tyler Seguin and Zdeno Chara potted the other markers. Rich Peverley and Jaromir Jagr had two helpers apiece.
Apr 10 - 10:24 PM

Gregory Campbell played between Brad Marchand and Jaromir Jagr in Monday's win over Carolina.

He usually plays on the fourth line, but looked comfortable in his new role in Boston's top-six forward group. Campbell collected two assists, two shots, a plus-2 rating and two hits in the Bruins' 6-2 victory. Coach Claude Julien liked what Campbell's style brought to the table for his new linemates. "It's about getting pucks to the net and getting his nose dirty in all areas," said Julien. "He's a decent centerman for those guys who like to move the puck around. He made room for those guys. He opened up some passing lanes."
Apr 9 - 7:12 AM

Gregory Campbell practiced on a line with Brad Marchand and Jaromir Jagr on Sunday.

Campbell typically serves as a bottom-six center, but he does contribute offensively. With Patrice Bergeron out indefinitely due to a concussion, Campbell is one of the players the Bruins will be looking towards to step up.
Apr 8 - 9:09 AM

Gregory Campbell will join Patrice Begeron and Tyler Seguin on Boston's second line for Wednesday's game versus Montreal.

He skated there during the team's morning skate, with Brad Marchand not expected to play because of an upper-body injury. Campbell has one goal and two assists in eight games.
Feb 6 - 2:47 PM

Gregory Campbell is looking into joining Ceske Budejovice in the Czech Republic, where teammate Andrew Ference plays, if the lockout continues.

He joined Daniel Paille, Jay Pandolfo, Brandon Yip, and Chris Higgins for a skate at Boston University's Agganis Arena recently. The session was run by former player Mike Grier, but he knows that he isn't quite there in terms of being in game shape. "If you ask an injured player during the season, they can work out as hard as they want. They can get bag-skated as hard as they want by a coach," Campbell said. "But unless you're actually thrown into a game, you're never in game shape."

Gregory Campbell has ramped up his efforts to play in Europe.

With no deal in place, a full NHL season is no longer on the table, so expect many more to try to latch on elsewhere. Campbell has talked with several teams, including the Czech Extraliga's HC Budejovice. "I’d like to get something done," said Campbell. "For me, it was a wait-and-see game as it is for many players and I think that’s the approach that a lot of European teams are taking. Now is a critical time in negotiations, they feel, and we as players feel. To make a move right now when things could be close might be silly, but it’s certainly something that as time has moved on I’ve considered more seriously."

Gregory Campbell is one of the few who are optimistic that even if there is a lockout, an agreement could be reached in short order.

"Things have to be a little bit more optimistic than the last time," he said. "The two sides have been talking and trying to get something done for a few weeks, a few months now. I always try and stay optimistic. It’s negotiations, just about what you would expect. Both sides want a fair deal. "So now we just have to be patient and stay strong in our views, and accept that it is what it is: a business. Hopefully there will be an agreement soon."

Gregory Campbell has agreed to a three-year/$4.8 million contract extension with the Boston Bruins.

This is a great depth signing for the Boston Bruins, but it won't impact many fantasy leagues. Campbell had 16 points and 80 penalty minutes in 78 games this season.

The Boston Bruins are reportedly close to agreeing to terms with Gregory Campbell.

Campbell is currently scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1. He's a great fourth liner, but you would have to be in a particularly deep league to want him on your fantasy team.

The Boston Bruins have reportedly made "no progress" towards re-signing Gregory Campbell.

Campbell will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 unless the two sides can come to terms. He doesn't have much fantasy value, but he is a great fourth liner.

Gregory Campbell is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Campbell is one of the better fourth line forwards in the league and we wouldn't be surprised if he ends up re-signing with Boston. He made $1,200,000 in 2011-12 and he might get a mild raise this summer.
