Milan Michalek has re-signed with the Senators for three-years and $12 million.
After a disappointing season where he registered a mere 39 points in 82 games, Michalek might be poised for a bit of a bounce-back campaign. That said, he will no longer have Jason Spezza to play alongside of and that may temper the extent of his comeback. Jul 1 - 12:27 PM

He said "there's a good chance" that Michalek will be back next season. He just completed a six-year, $26 million contract, but it's expected that he won't make close to the $6-million figure he received in 2013-14. He is currently considering an offer from Ottawa.

Milan Michalek recorded a power play goal for the Senators in a 5-2 loss to New Jersey on Wednesday night.

The Ottawa Senators (and fantasy owners) would like to see more of the Milan Michalek who was active in the team's 2-1 shootout loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday.

Michalek had Ottawa's only goal and fired five SOG. He's had two one-SOG nights sandwiched in between two five-SOG nights. If he can send more pucks on net more often, he could be closer to the sniper who paid off nicely for Ottawa in the past.
