Jeff Carter reached the 60-point mark on Tuesday.

Carter recorded an assist in a 3-2 shootout loss to Arizona. This is the third straight campaign that he's reached the 60-point milestone, but in each of the previous two seasons he finished with 62 points. With that in mind, this might end up being his highest scoring season since 2008-09.

Jeff Carter was one of the main difference-makers in the Los Angeles Kings' 4-2 victory against the Washington Capitals on Saturday.

It was a low-event game, yet Carter managed a goal and an assist in this contest, pushing him to 31 goals and 59 points in 67 games. This marks his first 30+ goal season since 2010-11. He's only three points behind his 62-point totals from both 2014-15 and 2015-16. It seems likely that this will be his second-best scoring season (as he's unlikely to match the 84 points he managed in 2008-09).
Mar 12 - 3:13 AM

Jeff Carter had the Gordie Howe hat trick Saturday.

Carter had a goal, an assist and a fight. It was a rare fight for the veteran as it was only his third of his career, a span of 12 seasons. Carter had 30 goals and 55 points and should be active in every lineup this season.

Jeff Carter reached the 30-goal plateau for the first time as a member of the Kings on Saturday, as the Kings topped the Ducks 4-1.

He picked up both a goal and an assist to give him 55 points over 61 games. Carter hasn't scored this many goals since 2010-11 when he scored 36 for Philadelphia.

Jeff Carter scored two goals and two assists in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Florida Panthers.

Carter picked up three of those four points in the opening period, as he helped set up goals by Dustin Brown (1-0) and Tyler Toffoli (3-1), while his goal gave the Kings a 2-0 lead at the time. Carter has now racked up 10 points in his last eight games, and he's up to 29 goals and 51 points in 55 games this season. That puts him on pace to score 43 goals and 76 points.
Feb 9 - 11:52 PM

Jeff Carter scored Saturday's only goal as he pushed his Kings past the Flyers in overtime.

Carter's tally was his 27th of the season, and it was assisted by Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty as well. But it was all set up by Kopitar's dazzling skill and ability to find a seam through the crease to get the puck to Carter through. Carter just had to tap it in, as they say.
Feb 4 - 4:53 PM

Jeff Carter scored twice Wednesday night in a 5-0 win over the Avalanche.

Going into Wednesday night’s game Carter was tied for second-most goals of the season with the Capitals’ Alex Ovechkin and Blue Jacket’s Cam Atkinson. All three started Wednesday with 24 goals, Atkinson did not play and Ovechkin added one to his total in the Caps’ 5-3 win against the Bruins. Carter scored two goals in eight shots against Avalanche goaltender Spencer Martin. Both occurred in the first period, with one coming on a power-play and the other at even strength. Carter now sits two points behind Penguins’ Sidney Crosby with 28 points.

Jeff Carter was a nifty one during Sunday's All-Star game championship match with the Metro.

Carter assisted on Joe Pavelski's opening tally just 22 seconds into the match. However the Metro would go on to win the game 4-3. Carter finished the day with a goal and four points over two games.

When in doubt, the Kings can just leave it to Jeff Carter.

The 32-year-old has posted 24 goals and 43 points this season with a 16.4% shooting clip over 49 games this season. For context, Drew Doughty is second on the team in points with 28 and Tanner Pearson is next in goals with 15. No other King has double-digit goal totals either. Meanwhile, Carter will take part in the Shooting Accuracy competition and the Skills Challenge Relay with Joe Pavelski and Ryan Kesler. For his part, Carter has now scored as few as 23 goals in 10 of his 11 career NHL seasons.

Jeff Carter scored his 24th goal of the season Saturday.

Carter is second in the NHL in goal scoring, trailing only Sidney Crosby who is three ahead of the veteran. The 32-year-old has 41 points in 48 games and leads the Kings in points. He is a must start this season in what should be his first 30 goal season since 2010-11.
Jan 22 - 8:16 AM

Jeff Carter scored the OTGWG for the Los Angeles Kings in their 3-2 overtime win against the Winnipeg Jets, because of course he did.

That's the third overtime game-winner for Carter, who has eight GWG overall this season. No surprise that he has a lot of goals (23) and his 40 points in 43 games represents some of the best work of his career. The Kings would be in a world of hurt without their remarkable sniper.
