Carter's tally was his 27th of the season, and it was assisted by Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty as well. But it was all set up by Kopitar's dazzling skill and ability to find a seam through the crease to get the puck to Carter through. Carter just had to tap it in, as they say.

This is the fifth 20+ goal season Carter has enjoyed with the Kings alone. He's very likely to smash his best mark with the Kings, which was 28 goals in 2014-15. His all-time career-high will be tough to best (46 goals in 2008-09) but it's at least plausible now.
