Carter has been on an absolute tear of late with four goals and five assists in the last five games that has coincided with this Kings' winning streak. He has 18 goals and 27 assists to lead the team with 45 points in 57 games. Tyler Toffoli and Dustin Brown each added a goal in the win.

Jeff Carter recorded a trio of assists in LA's big 5-3 win over Calgary on Thursday night.

While none of the sauce Carter threw around resulted in a goal, he did perfectly set up Dwight King in the slot to put the Kings up 3-2 in the opening minute of the third period. Though perhaps most remarkably he hooked Flames' defenseman Kris Russel's stick out of Tyler Toffoli's path as he flew by, directly leading to the game's opening tally. Carter now has 26 assists and a team-leading 41 points in 54 games.

Jeff Carter scored a goal and added an assist in the Los Angeles Kings' 4-3 victory over the Blue Jackets in Columbus Monday night.

Carter recorded his 23rd assist of the season on Dwight King's eighth goal of the season at 2:12 of the first period. That tied the game at 1-1. Carter scored his 15th goal of the season to give the Kings a 3-1 lead at 15:34 of the second period. Tyler Toffoli also scored for the Kings, his fifth of the season. King drew an assist on Toffoli's goal, his ninth assist of the season. Dustin Brown netted the Kings' fourth goal of the night, his ninth of the season.

Carter sniped two shots past Blackhawks' goalie Corey Crawford for his 13th and 14th goals of the campaign. He now has three goals in two games after going six straight without finding the back of the net. Carter has 36 points in 48 games this season. Jake Muzzin and Tyler Toffoli were credited with the other two goals while Anze Kopitar picked up two helpers.

That gave the Kings a fighting chance, but they couldn't build on it and ultimately the Sharks finished the contest with an empty-net goal. Carter had a minus-one rating in 17:23 minutes of ice time in a 2-1 loss to Calgary. "I'm sure he's going to say he had a hard time tonight," Kings Coach Darryl Sutter said. "But he gutted it out." Carter has 10 goals and 27 points in 37 contests in 2014-15.
