Carter and the Kings dominated the third period in pursuit of the equalizer, outshooting New York 15-1. Carter and his linemates Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson were the best line on the ice by far, but the trio were unable to beat Henrik Lundqvist. Jeff Carter is the fourth player in Los Angeles Kings' franchise history to score 10 or more goals in a single playoff run.

Carter was credited with his 10th goal in the Kings' 3-0 victory on Monday. Marian Gaborik became the third player to accomplish that feat with the Kings last month. With 13 goals, Gaborik leads the pack while Carter ranks second in the points race with 24.

Jeff Carter opened the scoring for the Kings in Monday's 3-0 win over the New York Rangers in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

If the Rangers offered a glimmer of hope with how they played in Games 1 and 2, the Kings erased all doubts with their performance at Madison Square Garden on this night. Jake Muzzin and Mike Richards also found the back of the net for Los Angeles in the win.

Kings coach Darryl Sutter called Jeff Carter the "perfect role model" for young linemates Tanner Pearson and Tyler Toffoli.

He has morphed into a strong two-way player in Los Angeles and Sutter praised him for his reliability. Carter doesn't score at the same rate as he did in Philadelphia, but he's a much more well-rounded player now and he can still contribute strong numbers.

Jeff Carter was playing remarkable hockey for the Los Angeles Kings heading into Friday night's Game 6 of the Western Conference Final series but that changed in their 4-3 loss to the Blackhawks Friday night.

Carter, who was on a five-game point streak and had produced seven points in Game 4 and Game 5 for a total of 20 points in the post-season, was held off the scoresheet Friday night. Worse, he was a game high minus-3 on the night.

Carter had an assist in the Kings' 5-2 victory after he recorded an incredible seven points in his previous two contests. He now has eight goals and 20 points in 18 playoff games.

Jeff Carter has been red hot in his last four games with five goals and 10 points.

That is Gretzky-like and it has moved Carter into second place in NHL scoring with 19 points, one behind teammate Anze Kopitar. He is also second in goals with eight, one behind fellow King Marian Gaborik. "It goes back to the confidence thing," Mike Richards said of Carter. "When you have confidence, it just seems like the net gets bigger, and when you don't have confidence it seems like it shrinks a little bit. He steps up in big times. He's a big goal scorer, and that whole line has created a lot for momentum of our hockey team throughout games."

Jeff Carter led the Kings with three points in their 4-3 Game 3 victory against the Blackhawks on Saturday night.

Carter scored his eighth of the postseason in the second period and assisted twice. He has formed quite the line with youngsters Tyler Toffoli, who potted one, and Tanner Pearson, who had an assist. NBC reported that the line has contributed 15 points in the playoffs. Carter has points in four straight games, and 10 points during that stretch. Drew Doughty had another strong game, with a goal and a helper. Slava Voynov also lit the lamp on a power-play goal in the first period. The Kings now hold a 2-1 Western Conference Final series lead.

Jeff Carter notched three goals and an assist, all in the third period, to help the Kings overcome a 2-0 deficit in Game 2 and beat the Blackhawks 6-2 to even up the Western Conference Final on Wednesday night.

Los Angeles was down 2-1 heading into the third period, but scored five unanswered goals in the final frame to tie the series at one game apiece heading back to California. Carter was simply unstoppable in the third, tipping in the winning goal on the power play and then having a hand in the next three insurance goals. His hat trick gives him seven goals and nine assists in 16 playoff games so far.

Carter now has 12 points in 15 playoff games as his line, with Tanner Pearson, has been a force for the Kings. Carter was weak on the draw Sunday as he won only one of eight faceoffs. Game 2 goes Wednesday in Chicago.

Carter has been limited to one shot or none in all but two of his last eight contests. On the plus side, he did record an assist on Monday and still has nine points in 12 playoff games.

Coach Darryl Sutter was pleased with the play of his new line consisting of Jeff Carter, Mike Richards and Tanner Pearson.

Although the trio were on the ice for one of the two Anaheim goals, Sutter thought that they played well together. Do not be surprised if they are together on Monday for Game 5.

Jeff Carter scored a goal and registered an assist in Los Angeles' 3-2 loss to Anaheim Thursday night at Staples Center.

Carter's goal was a power-play goal in the second period to tie the game to 1-1. He now has three goals and five assists in 10 playoff games this year. All of his three goals have been power-play goals. Mike Richards scored his first goal of the playoffs for the Kings, while Anze Kopitar continued his amazing point streak to 11 straight playoff games.

Jeff Carter scored his second goal of the playoffs and is now on a nine-game scoring streak in the post-season.

The streak goes back to last season as Carter, who lost only three of 11 faceoffs on Saturday, now has three goals and 10 points during the nine games. He scored 22 seconds into the second period to give the Kings a 3-0 lead which turned out to be the final goal of the game.

Jeff Carter is on a four-game point streak.

If you want to only include postseason contests, then Carter's point streak has actually reached eight games. He assisted on Tyler Toffoli's game-winning goal in Game 4 against San Jose on Thursday.
