Jeff Carter has heated up again.

Carter has three goals in his last two games. During the regular season, Carter enjoyed some pretty incredible goal scoring streaks. If he's hot again now, that could sink the St. Louis Blues, who are already down 3-2 in this series.
May 9 - 10:21 AM

Jeff Carter and Slava Voynov were among the biggest heroes for the Los Angeles Kings in a 3-2 OT win against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday, earning a 3-2 series lead.

Carter scored two goals while Voynov collected his second game-winner of the series to give the Kings a very tight win. Both players have only produce tallies this season: three for Carter, two for Voynov.

Darryl Sutter's move to use seven defensemen meant more ice time for Jeff Carter.

Carter played 21:56 minutes in Game 3 after playing 18:29 in Game 2 as the Kings went with only 11 forwards. "Fourth line hasn't been playing much and our fourth-line right wing has played hardly at all," Sutter said. "So, I thought I'd give Jeff Carter, Dustin Brown and Justin Williams a couple of more minutes. It gets us away from matchups. It worked (Saturday) night. Gives us more energy." Brown saw an extra 1:56 minutes while Williams was on the ice for 1:49 minutes more.
May 6 - 8:27 AM

Jeff Carter has gone four straight games without recording a point.

Carter has a minus-two rating in the playoffs and Los Angeles is trailing 2-0 in their first-round series. He's had some incredible hot streaks this season and Los Angeles could certainly use the offensive boost after being limited to just two goals in two postseason games.

His 26th goal of the season, which ranks him fourth in the league, was assisted by Brad Richardson.

Jeff Carter leads the NHL with seven game winning goals.

Carter is also tied with John Tavares for third in goals with 24, trailing Steve Stamkos and Alex Ovechkin. Unfortunately he has only five assists so he is tied for 58th in scoring. Carter is having a nice season and has plenty of fantasy value in the goal scoring categories.

Jeff Carter scored a power-play goal on Thursday.

Carter has four goals in his last five games. That gives him 24 markers this season, just two shy of Steven Stamkos and Alex Ovechkin. Stamkos and Ovechkin are getting most of the attention in the Rocket Richard Trophy race, but don't rule Carter out of it. He's shown that when he's hot this season, the opposition can't seem to contain him.

Jeff Carter failed to get a single shot on goal in the Kings' 1-0 loss Saturday.

Carter has just two points in the Kings' last seven games. He's scored 18 goals this season, but they've come in spurts. When he's hot, he's one of the best fantasy options in the league, but right now he's just frustrating owners.
