Jeff Carter made his preseason debut on Friday night.

He was back with linemates Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson. The trio was held scoreless in a 3-1 loss to Colorado. "We've played together long enough. We know what's going on. I think all three of us, they played a couple more games than me, but everybody's just trying to find their games right now," said Carter. "We've got three left, so we've got some time, but it's coming quick, so start ramping it up." He is looking to get back to game shape after recovering from a lower-body injury.

He'll be replaced by Ducks forward Corey Perry.

Carter fended off a Shark, spun around, paused, and went top shelf on Martin Jones to cut the Kings' deficit to 3-2 in the third. A true goal-scorer's goal. Unfortunately the Kings would go on to lose the game 6-3, ending their season. Carter finishes with just his two goals and points in the five games.

Jeff Carter collected a trio of assists during Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Rangers.

It was his second helper that was special, though. Carter found himself beside the Rangers' net with the puck in his feet and facing the glass.
