Carter has been outstanding of late and has 10 goals and 19 points thus far as he has taken over from the oft-injured Anze Kopitar as the scoring leader of the veteran squad. He is a must start right now.

Jeff Carter scored the overtime game-winner to extend the Los Angeles Kings' winning streak to five games.

Carter's OTGWG was the decisive tally in the Kings' 2-1 OT win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. Carter's been a fantastic scorer for a Kings team that needs every point, scoring 10 goals (six GWG) and nine assists for 19 points in 22 games. If he's slowing with age, it hasn't shown yet in 2016-17.

Jeff Carter has been tabbed as the first star of the week for the period ending Nov. 20.

He potted four goals and added two assists in four contests. Carter tallied three straight game-winning goals for the Kings and surpassed 600 career points on Sunday thanks to a three-point performance versus Anaheim.

Carter's second point of the night was the 600th of his NHL career. Carter now has six points in his past three games, and nine goals with 17 points through 20 games this season.

Jeff Carter scored the winning goal and added an assist as the Kings doubled up the Oilers 4-2 on Thursday.

Carter broke a 2-2 tie with a shorthanded effort which turned out to stand as the game-winner. He was also credited with five shots on goal while leading the Kings forwards with just over 20 minutes of ice-time. That's six goals and 13 points in 18 for the Kings sniper. Tyler Toffoli and Derek Forbort each also added a goal and assist in the win.

The Kings forward finished the game with a plus-3 rating, three shots on goal and two hits in 16:04 of ice time. Carter has five goals and four assists in 13 games this season. Dustin Brown, Tanner Pearson, Tyler Toffoli, Kyle Clifford and Dwight King also found the back of the net for the Kings tonight.

Jeff Carter scored the overtime winner to help the Kings get past the Nashville Predators 3-2 on Thursday night.

It wasn't the cleanest play in the world as Carter deflected the puck past Predators goalie Pekka Rinne off a deflected pass in front of the net to get the game-winner with 28 seconds remaining in the extra period. The Kings and Carter will take it though. It was his second of the season and fifth point in seven games. He also tallied up six shots on net, a blocked shot and a hit. Jake Muzzin and Tyler Toffoli scored the goals in regulation while Alec Martinez and Nic Dodd each added two assists in the victory.

Carter scored the lone goal as the Kings lost 2-1 in OT to the Colorado Avalanche. Carter collected 24 goals and 62 points in 2015-16, the second straight season he generated 62 points.
