Brent Seabrook ended an exciting night of hockey in Chicago with a goal at the 1:00 mark of the third overtime to give the Blackhawks a 3-2 win on Tuesday.
Seabrook scored on the 100th shot of the evening and mercifully ended it for the all the journalist covering the game. That being said, what an exciting game to watch as it was the first game to go to triple overtime in the NHL this year. Seabrook collected an assist on Patrick Sharp's goal at the 6:03 mark of the first period. He also picked up the primary assist on Sharp's second goal which was scored in the third period. The 29-year-old has three points in his last four games and he has eight goals and 31 points in 68 games this season.

Brent Seabrook scored a goal in Friday's 2-1 shootout win over Edmonton.

The Blackhawks trailed for most of this game until Seabrook levelled the score with 6:02 remaining in the contest. The 29-year-old also had four shots, two hits, three blocked shots and two penalty minutes in 24:52 of ice time. The goal was his first since December 27th against Colorado. He now has eight goals and 29 points in 65 games this season. Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa helped set Seabrook up.

Brent Seabrook's favorite part of the All-Star weekend was spending it with his family.

"I've been enjoying a lot of time with my son (with) him being around," Seabrook said. "He liked the mascot game (Saturday). It's pretty cool to be able to have a kid and be able to share it here with my family and everybody." He posted an assist and a plus-3 rating in Team Toews' 17-12 victory against Team Foligno in his first NHL All-Star Game.

"It’s a lot of fun to be here. I’m really excited, I’m really honored that the fans voted me in," said Seabrook. "It’s my first one, so it’s nice to have some guys to help me with a few things. They’ll probably be more lax with things than I will be, but I’m looking forward to it." The 29-year-old has seven goals and 25 points in 47 games this season.

Brent Seabrook is an underrated piece of the Chicago Blackhawks roster.

"It’s hard to say why [he hasn’t gotten more recognition]," Jonathan Toews said. "I guess maybe (Duncan Keith) is the one getting most of the attention offensively, for the most part, but I think Seabs has really proven what he can do, what he can bring on both sides of the puck. We’ve always known it in this locker room." Seabrook has seven goals and 22 points in 44 games this season.

Brent Seabrook has arguably been the best Chicago Blackhawk of late.

He has been amazing in the defensive zone which, according to Chicago coach Joel Quenneville has led to success offensively. With six points in his last five games, Seabrook is certainly on a roll. "(Seabrook) was probably the one guy who turned it around," said Quenneville, referring to Saturday night's 5-2 win over Colorado. "I think the offense is coming because he’s been defending so well." Brent Seabrook exploded for a goal and two assists in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Minnesota.

The absence of Duncan Keith (illness) seems to have put some pep in the step of Seabrook, as the outing was just his second multi-point effort of the year. Marian Hossa, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Ben Smith all contributed goals for the Hawks in the win.

However, he's expected to be fine to play on Wednesday night versus St. Louis. Seabrook's seven-game point streak (two goals, five assists) came to an end this past Saturday against Los Angeles. He has 14 points in 24 contests this year.

He was credited with four blocked shots to give him 23 on the year. Seabrook is a dependable all-around blueliner for the Hawks and fantasy owners. He doesn't get many penalty minutes anymore, but he still contributes points, blocks and hits.

Brent Seabrook is looking to do more after being on the ice for both of the Kings' power-play goals in Game 4.

"I've got to be better," Seabrook said. "It doesn't just start with the penalty kill. It's in every facet of the game. I think we've all got to be out there doing things that are going to make us win a game. I think some things happened last game that are uncharacteristic [of us], but I'd say you've got to give L.A. credit. They're forcing us into different situations, but we've got to be better and we will be better." Los Angeles has a 3-1 series lead going into Game 5 on Wednesday. Seabrook has no points and a minus-one rating in the Western Conference Final.
