Brent Seabrook scored a goal in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.
Seabrook snapped Connor Hellebuyck's shutout at the 9:08 mark of the second frame, but the 'Hawks found themselves down 4-1 at the time. The veteran finished the night with a minus-1 rating, two shots on goal and five blocked shots in 21:47 of ice time. The 32-year-old has seven goals and 26 points in 81 games this season. The 'Hawks will likely do their best to move Seabrook this offseason, but his massive contract is probably unmovable. Apr 7 - 10:13 PM

Brent Seabrook found the back of the net in a 3-1 win over the Islanders on Saturday.

Seabrook is on a three-game point streak as a result of that goal. He's up to six markers and 24 points in 75 games this season. That's a sizable decline from 2016-17 when he finished with 39 points.

Seabrook opened the scoring in the first period, but the 'Hawks allowed the Avalanche to score five times over the final two frames. Jan 25 - 10:13 AM

Brent Seabrook scored a goal in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

Seabrook was a healthy scratch in last night's game against Ottawa and he responded by scoring his team's only goal tonight. The veteran finished the night with a plus-1 rating, one shot on goal and one blocked shot in 15:20 of ice time. Seabrook is up to two goals and 12 points in 42 games this season. He has no fantasy value going forward. Michal Kempny and Nick Schmaltz registered the assists on the goal.
Jan 10 - 10:58 PM

Brent Seabrook is expected to draw back into the Blackhawks' lineup on Wednesday.

Seabrook was a healthy scratch on Tuesday, which naturally drew some attention to his underwhelming season and the fact that he's in just the second season of an eight-year, $55 million contract. Still, Chicago will go back to the 32-year-old defenseman so we'll see if he can use the game off as motivation.
Jan 10 - 1:37 PM

The Chicago Blackhawks have decided to scratch Brent Seabrook tonight against the Ottawa Senators.

It's been a tough season for Seabrook who has collected one goal and 11 points in 41 games so far. The writing has been on the wall for a few games now but it's tough for the Blackhawks to sit someone in the press box that is scheduled to make $6.875 million through the 2023-24 season. He will be joined in the press box by Tomas Jurco and Erik Gustafsson.
Jan 9 - 7:10 PM

Brent Seabrook will be a healthy scratch Tuesday night versus Ottawa.

Seabrook has struggled this season, while collecting just one goal and 11 points through 41 contests. He hasn't picked up a point in the last nine games. Seabrook has a minus-4 rating and has been held to one shot or less eight times during that span.
Jan 9 - 12:39 PM

Brent Seabrook has posted one goal with 11 points and a plus-7 rating through 38 games this season.

Seabrook is having an off year as far as offensive production is concerned, but he has posted 40 hits with 77 blocked shots to keep the heads of his fantasy owners above water. He continues to sacrifice his body on a regular basis, making him a nice rearguard option in DFS, too.
Jan 2 - 12:22 AM

Brent Seabrook had his ice time reduced Wednesday night and responded with a solid performance against the Rangers.

Seabrook posted four shots, two blocks, an assist, and a plus-2 rating in 16:26 of ice time. That is more than a five-minute drop from his season average. "I want to play as much as I can [but] I want to help the team out any way I can," Seabrook said. "Whatever the case may be, I thought I had a better game [Wednesday] night I had more jump, more pace to my game."

Brent Seabrook ended a seven-game point drought on Saturday.

Seabrook registered an assist in Chicago's 4-3 overtime win against Carolina. He has a goal and six points in 17 games, which is a pretty disappointing start by his standards. We expect Seabrook to bounce back though and surpass the 30-point milestone so long as he can stay healthy.
Sun, Nov 12, 2017 06:28:00 AM

Brent Seabrook was scoreless with a blocked shot, a minor penalty and four hits in Tuesday's 4-2 loss at Vegas.

Even when Seabrook is held off the scoresheet he contributes positively for fantasy owners, at least in pools with advanced scoring systems. He has logged 21 blocked shots and 11 hits through 10 games this season.
Wed, Oct 25, 2017 01:53:00 AM

Brent Seabrook posted three points in Thursday's 10-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Seabrook earned one goal, two assists, two shots, two blocks and a plus-3 rating in an impressive season debut. The Blackhawks need him to step this season on a new-look defense corps and he is off to a strong start.
