Corey Perry's reputation is taking a bad hit as Daniel Winnik accused him of a dirty hit Saturday.
It was the second time this season that Perry has been called out as Mathieu Perreault made a similar accusation in January after Perry broke his finger with a slash. On Saturday, Winnik claimed that Perry slew-footed him and that is something you do not do to a fellow player. Perry had four minutes in penalties Saturday and was a minus-two. He has 11 goals and 39 points in 57 games this season with 45 penalty minutes and a minus-two rating. Feb 12 - 10:46 AM

Corey Perry scored two goals and picked up an assist in a 5-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday.

Lehner gave up a terrible rebound straight to Perry for his second of the night. The goals break a six-game goalless drought for Perry. He's now up to 11 goals and 39 points in 56 games this season. He if continues at this current pace, it'll be his lowest points-per-game pace since the 2006-07 season. Rickard Rakell, Antoine Vermette, and Andrew Cogliano also scored for the Ducks in the win.

Corey Perry is among those trying to find out why his goal scoring has been so low this season.

Perry is typically good for 30-40 goals per season, but through 55 contests he's been limited to just nine goals in 2016-17. So he's asking the question: What's going on with Perry? "You’re only human if you don’t, right?" Perry said. "You don’t obviously talk to yourself. But you know what’s going on. You’re just trying to figure out how to get back to what you were. It’s a matter of working harder. Doing extra. Whatever it may be. You got to try to find something." It's worth noting that Perry's shooting percentage is just 6.1 this season, down from his career average of 13.2%. An argument could be made that he's simply been unlucky, but this late into the season, it's getting harder and harder to think that his luck will balance out.
Feb 9 - 4:10 AM

Corey Perry has only nine goals in 54 games this season.

That is quite a comedown for a former 50 goal scorer who has also scored 30 or more goals six times. Eric Stephens of the Orange-County Register seems to think that the lack of a good pass to Perry is causing the problems and he just needs someone to get him the puck. He does have 27 assists as well but when drafting Perry, you want his goals.
Feb 6 - 6:04 AM

Corey Perry scored for the second time this month in a 5-3 loss to Minnesota.

It's hard to believe that the former 50 goal scorer and six-time 30-plus goal getter, has only nine this season in 49 games but that's what he has. He does have 25 assists but that was not what you were expecting when you drafted him so high in your pool. He has just two goals in his last 19 games so a breakout could be expected shortly.
Jan 22 - 7:10 AM

Corey Perry found the back of the net in Anaheim's 4-1 win over Colorado Thursday night.

Perry ended a 13-game goal scoring drought when he scored into an empty net. He has eight goals and 32 points in 40 contests this season.
Jan 13 - 10:48 AM

Corey Perry registered an assist in Anaheim's 2-0 win over Dallas Tuesday night.

While that's an obvious positive, Perry also fired three shots on goal but couldn't snap his goal scoring drought. He's now gone 13 straight games without a marker and his shooting percentage is just 5.9, down from his career average of 13.3%.
Jan 11 - 4:12 AM

The Anaheim Ducks have stopped using Corey Perry in overtime.

Well, at least in the three-on-three situations as the speed of the extra time may be too much for the 31-year-old. Perry is really struggling to score goals this season with only seven in 38 games after five straight 30 goal campaigns not including the lockout season. While he is still a very good player, Perry is not an elite forward in fantasy hockey anymore.
Jan 1 - 7:45 AM

Corey Perry registered an assist in Anaheim's 3-2 overtime loss to Vancouver Friday night.

Perry has recorded at least a point in three of his last four contests. He has seven goals and 29 points in 38 games this season.

Corey Perry picked up an assist in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators.

The point snaps a streak of four games without a point for the veteran winger. Perry has managed to pick up assists, but his goals have really dried up this season. He has scored only three goals in his last 27 games, and only seven during the entire season. He is now up to 27 points in 35 games this season. Fantasy owners were hoping for more goals from the talented winger, but will have to settle for the overall point total.

Corey Perry lifted his point streak to five games with a goal and an assist during Sunday's 5-1 win over the Senators.

He now has two goals and seven points during the streak. Which gives him six goals and 15 points in 29 games this season.

Corey Perry scored the game-tying goal late in the third against Carolina in what eventually became a 6-5 win for the Anaheim Ducks Wednesday night.

Immediately after doing so, Perry heaved a huge sigh of relief. His goal is only the fifth of the season and it snapped an 18-game streak in which he failed to find the back of the net. He has remained fantasy relevant, however, with 14 assists in that same span of events.

Corey Perry had two helpers on Saturday.

The winger now has 18 points in 21 games but has been stuck on four goals for the last 15 games as his goalless streak continued. The surprising thing is that Perry has scored thirty or more goals on five occasions so it looks to be just a matter of time until he unleashes his shot once again and it can find the back of the net. He is a must start.
Sun, Nov 27, 2016 06:50:00 AM

Corey Perry has been limited to just four goals in 20 games.

That's obviously not what we've come to expect from Perry, but there are some silver linings. One is that what he lacks in goals he's been making up for in assists so he still has 16 points thus far. The other is that he's still firing shots at a good rate (an average of 3 SOG per game) and the problem has been his abnormally low 6.7 shooting percentage. That should improve substantially as the campaign goes on.

Coach Randy Carlyle thinks that Corey Perry needs to be more proactive and go get the puck himself.

Perry is in the midst of a slump and Carlyle thinks he is just standing around and waiting for the puck rather than going deeper into his own zone. "It’s our responsibility to put a player in situations that he can have success," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. "But on the other hand, it’s part of the player’s responsibility to do a self-evaluation. My conversation with Corey Perry as of (Monday) morning is ‘you don’t seem to have the puck at all. So you’re fading away from the puck and you’re standing still in the neutral ice. So come back a little deeper and get some momentum instead of standing and posting up all the time.’" Perry has four goals and 15 points in 19 games but only has a couple of assists in his last six (both in the same game) while not finding the back of the net since October 26, a span of 11 games.
