Corey Perry posted a goal with an assist, plus-2 rating, four shots on goal and two hits in Monday's shootout victory against the Sharks.
Perry started out rather slowly by his standards, posting three goals with 10 points over his first 15 contests. However, he is making up for lost time over the past three outings, turning in multi-point efforts with a goal and five assists. He was also blanked on the power play through his first 15 games, but he has four assists on the man advantage over the past five outings. Nov 21 - 2:44 AM

Nov 19 - 11:37 PM

Corey Perry picked up two assists with a plus-1 rating and two hits Wednesday against the Bruins.

Perry opened the season with a three-point game, but he managed just one goal and four assists in a 14-game stretch from Oct. 7-Nov. 7. He has started to pick up the pace a bit, posting four assists over the past three games. Fantasy owners hope it's a sign of things to come. He still has the ability to pick up points in bunches.
Nov 16 - 3:43 AM

Corey Perry scored a goal as the San Jose Sharks defeated his Anaheim Ducks 2-1 in a shootout on Saturday night.

Perry's goal opened the scoring just six minutes into the contest and was looking good until midway through the third period when the Sharks tied it to ultimately win it in the shootout. Perry now has three goals and eight points in 14 games this season. He is looking to top the 19 goals he had last season, which was his first season with under 30 goals since his half-season in 2012-2013.
Nov 5 - 1:24 AM

Corey Perry scored the lone goal of the shootout to help the Anaheim Ducks complete the comeback in a 4-3 win over Carolina on Sunday.

Perry, who has two goals and five points in 11 games, helped the Ducks come back from a 3-2 third period deficit and the loss of captain Ryan Getzlaf, who left when taking a puck to the face. Andrew Cogliano and Justin Williams had two assists each while Ryan Miller got his first win as a Duck.
Oct 29 - 11:37 PM

Corey Perry scored two goals and an assist in a comeback win for the Anaheim Ducks over the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night.

The Anaheim Ducks came back from a 4-1 deficit in their season opener against the Arizona Coyotes, and Corey Perry led the comeback charge with two goals. Perry scored his team's first goal of the game in the first period, scored his second marker in the second period, before assisting on the game-tying goal by Andrew Cogliano. Perry had a down year last year, scoring 19 goals. But if Thursday's game is any indication, he could return to form in 2017-18.
Oct 6 - 1:07 AM

Corey Perry intends to move past his disappointing 2016-17 campaign.

Perry had 19 goals and 53 points in 82 contests last season. That was due in large part to his shooting percentage dropping to 8.8% compared to his career average of 13.2%. "You got to prove yourself each and every season," Perry said. "There’s no point in dwelling in the past. I’ve never done that. I go into seasons with a clean slate. I just think once hockey’s done, you put it on the back burner. You clear your head. You start going to the gym, you start skating and then you start training camp. That’s when you start to gear it back up. You can’t think about hockey 24 hours a day. You’re going to go crazy. Especially if I thought about what I did last year, it would just weigh on me. I put it behind me. It’s one of those things that happened." He's a pretty good bet to bounce back to the 30-goal mark, making him a potential value pick in standard league drafts.
Sep 27 - 4:35 AM

Corey Perry has tied the record for the most overtime goals in a single playoff run.

As previously reported, Perry netted the game winner in Anaheim's 3-2 overtime win against Nashville in Game 4 Thursday night. That was his third overtime goal of 2017, which matches him with Mel Hall and Maurice Richard from 1939 and 1951 respectively.
May 19 - 10:06 AM

Updating a previous item, Corey Perry scored the game-winning goal in Anaheim's 3-2 OT win over Nashville in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final.

Nate Thompson was originally given credit for the goal, but that has since been changed. Perry threw a puck towards the net in overtime, and it bounced off Preds defenseman P.K. Subban before going into the net. The goal allowed Perry to become just the eighth player in the last 25 years to score four overtime goals (or more) in the playoffs. The Ducks forward has now scored in back-to-back games. He has four goals and 11 points in 15 games this postseason. The Ducks and Preds are now tied at two in the best-of-seven series. Game 5 will be played in Anaheim on Saturday night.
May 19 - 1:00 AM

Corey Perry found the back of the net in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Nashville Predators in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final.

Today was Perry's 32nd birthday, but the Predators ruined the party. Perry scored from a seemingly impossible angle, as he bounced a puck (from below the goal line) off Preds goalie Pekka Rinne and in the net. It was his first goal since Game 5 of Anaheim's second-round series against Edmonton. Rickard Rakell and Sami Vatanen picked up the assists on Anaheim's only goal. Perry finished the game with two penalty minutes, two shots on goal and one hit in 14:57 of ice time. He has three goals and 10 points in 14 games this postseason. The Ducks now trail the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 will be played in Nashville on Thursday.
May 16 - 11:13 PM

Corey Perry is on a four-game point streak.

Perry kept that going by registering an assist in the Ducks' 2-1 win over Edmonton in Game 7 Wednesday night. He had been quiet earlier in the playoffs and had a rough regular season, so it's encouraging to see him on a roll now. Goals will be at a premium against the Nashville Predators in the Western Conference Final, so the Ducks need their top forwards to be at their best.
May 11 - 9:47 AM

Both of Corey Perry's goals during the playoffs have come in overtime.

Well, that's the best way to score if you are only going to get a couple of goals. It has been a rough season for Perry who potted only 19 goals in the regular season, down from 34 last year. Perry has seven points in nine games and has benefited greatly from a return to the top line as he has been clicking once again with Ryan Getzlaf.
May 7 - 7:29 AM

Corey Perry scored the game-winning goal in Friday's 4-3 double OT win over the Oilers.

Perry also racked up a pair of assists in this one. The Ducks were trailing 3-0 late in the third period, but they managed to score three goals with goalie John Gibson on the bench in favor of an extra attacker. Perry assisted on Cam Fowler's goal (3-2) at the 17:19 mark of the third frame and Rickard Rakell's tally (3-3) with 15 seconds remaining in regulation. Perry ended the game at the 6:57 mark of the second overtime. The Ducks forward is now up to two goals and five assists in nine games during the playoffs. Anaheim leads the best-of-seven series 3-2. They'll have a chance to eliminate the Oilers in Edmonton on Sunday night.
May 6 - 3:07 AM

Corey Perry remains confident despite continued scoring woes.

Perry has been limited to a goal and three points in seven playoff games after scoring 19 goals in the regular season, down from 34 markers in 2015-16. "Like I’ve said all season long," Perry said, "I’ve had my chances to score. The puck hasn’t gone in the net. I’ve had my shots. You look at my shot totals and they’re up there where they normally are. My shooting percentage is way down. That’s all it is. But again, it’s being in the right spots. It’s going to the net. It’s creating chances." Patrick Eaves is dealing with a lower-body injury and Perry consequently skated on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf during Tuesday's practice. If Perry ends up playing with Getzlaf in Game 4 on Wednesday then that might be what ends up sparking him.
May 3 - 4:07 AM

Corey Perry skated alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Rickard Rakell during Tuesday's practice.

Patrick Eaves suffered a lower-body injury in Game 3 against Edmonton and didn't skate Tuesday, so Perry might be in line to take his place. Perry also worked on the first power-play unit. He has produced just one goal and two assists in seven playoff games, but this could be a great opportunity for him to get going offensively.
