The Boston Bruins have decided against re-signing John-Michael Liles.
Liles is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on Saturday. "Liles, I had told earlier in the [process] that he wouldn't be coming back," Bruins GM Don Sweeney revealed on Friday. Boston could present Liles with a deal, but it would probably be below the $2 million he made last season. The 36-year-old defender suited up in just 36 games in 2016-17, while serving as a depth option.

The two rarely used defensemen will be joined by pivot Austin Czarnik and winger Peter Cehlarik on the sidelines. if you have to adjust your roster, go do it now.
