John-Michael Liles was pretty terrible Friday night against Anaheim.

In the Bruins' 4-0 loss to the Ducks, Liles was a minus three and was directly responsible for one Anaheim goal when Ryan Getzlaf stole the puck off of him. Liles has not had any fantasy value for a few seasons now and we don't see that changing in the future.

John-Michael Liles might hear from the league after he delivered a forearm to the head of Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov on Tuesday night.

He was not penalized on the play, but the Department of Player Safety could still take a look at it. "I was trying to step into him as he went by me. I didn't think I came up high with it," Liles said. "I thought I was just trying to step into him. I don't know if he was falling or if he ducked. Obviously, he was down for a while. I didn't see a replay, so I'm not really sure."

The Boston Bruins have acquired John-Michael Liles for a third and fifth round pick plus prospect Anthony Camara.

The 35-year-old veteran defender has posted just six goals and 15 points with 64 blocks and 96 hits with Carolina this season through 64 games. He averaged just over 20 minutes a night as well, so he figures to see plenty of time on Boston's blue line.
