John-Michael Liles will be a healthy scratch in Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Blues.

Liles returned to the Bruins lineup on Sunday, after missing 20 games with a concussion. There's a good chance he's being scratched because Boston just doesn't want to give the veteran too much playing time too soon. The 36-year-old logged 15:14 of ice in his return. He finished the game with a plus-1 rating and one shot on goal. Jimmy Hayes and Joe Morrow are also expected to watch from the press box.
Jan 10 - 7:50 PM

John-Michael Liles will make his long-awaited return to the Bruins' blue line on Sunday against the Hurricanes.

It's been 20 games, once as a healthy scratch, since the veteran defender has played due to a concussion. He was seen paired with Kevan Miller on the team's third defensive unit. With five points in 22 games, even that much will be a nice boost to their corps.
Jan 8 - 4:44 PM

Coach Claude Julien is calling John-Michael Liles a game-time decision for Sunday's match with Carolina.

The decision will be made after warm-ups. Normally we'd say this is a clear indicator that the veteran defender is playing, and the guess is that he will, but Liles took warm-ups yesterday as well and didn't play so we'll have to be patient.

Jan 7 - 7:01 PM

The Bruins activated John-Michael Liles from injured reserve on Saturday.

Which likely means that the veteran defender is finished recovering from the concussion that has sidelined him the last 19 games. He's not officially in the lineup yet, but it appears to be very near.
Jan 7 - 6:01 PM

John-Michael Liles (concussion) is "probably" set to return on Saturday against the Panthers, per coach Claude Julien.

"He’s probably ready to go, I think, from what I’m being told," Julien said. Boston needs to adjust their roster to make it happen, but we'd expect his string of 19-straight out with a concussion to come to an end. He has five points in 22 games.
Jan 7 - 1:34 PM

Jan 6 - 1:06 PM

John-Michael Liles (concussion) feels that he's making progress.

Liles has been skating with the Boston Bruins. "I’ve been feeling good, just trying to take a half-step forward every day, and not get myself in trouble. That’s kind of all I’m trying to do," he said. Liles last played on Nov. 27. There's no timetable for his return.
