Philippe Dupuis has passed through waivers and was sent to the minors by the Maple Leafs.

That was no surprise as Dupuis had no points in 30 games and did not play well on the penalty killing unit.

The Leafs have confirmed that Philippe Dupuis will be sent to the minors if he clears waivers.

"If he clears waivers, he'll be playing for the Marlies," Leafs coach Ron Wilson said. "We've got lots of bodies coming back from injuries and I want him to find his offensive touch again." Dupuis doesn't usually get many points, but he has none in 30 games this season.

Philippe Dupuis has been placed on waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Dupuis has no points and a minus-two rating in 30 games this season. He will probably clear waivers and get assigned to the AHL.

Philippe Dupuis has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.

He doesn't have a point in 30 games with the Maple Leafs this year and shouldn't be on anyone's fantasy roster.

Philippe Dupuis skated on a line with Phil Kessel and Joffrey Lupul Friday morning.

Dupuis is projected to play either on Toronto's fourth line or with the Toronto Marlies. However, he's getting a brief opportunity to show what he can do in a larger role, thanks in large part to a number of Leafs centers being sidelined. Most of the people ahead of him in the depth charts are only dealing with day-to-day ailments, so Dupuis' stint with Kessel and Lupul is expected to be short lived.

Philippe Dupuis is projected to be in the mix for Toronto's fourth-line center position.

"Hard on checking, winning faceoffs, doing the job killing penalties ... Phillipe and [Tyler] Bozak can do all those things, so we expect a battle zone there, and with whoever else is (competing for the third and fourth line jobs)," coach Ron Wilson said. Darryl Boyce and Mike Zigomanis are also competing for the fourth pivot job. Dupuis, Boyce and Zigomanis all have two-way contracts, so they have plenty to play for at training camp.

Philippe Dupuis has reportedly agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs that will pay him $650,000 at the NHL level.

Dupuis had six goals, 11 assists and 40 penalty minutes in 74 games with the Colorado Avalanche last season. If he cracks the Leafs' lineup out of training camp then he could end up as the club's fourth-line center.

Philippe Dupuis' time as a member of the Colorado Avalanche may be at an end.

Colorado didn't provide Philippe Dupuis with a qualifying offer, which means he's eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on Friday. Dupuis had six goals and 17 points in 74 games this season.

Philippe Dupuis (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game.

Philippe Dupuis might be suspended for his knee-on-knee hit in Monday's game.

Dupuis target was Olli Jokinen, who eventually left the game due to the injury. Dupuis received a five-minute kneeing major and a game misconduct, but Jokinen feels that his punishment should be more severe than that. "It was a knee on knee, so it was pretty clear that the guy should get five minutes and should get suspended," Jokinen said. "He could have hit me in the chest. I didn’t move, he moved his knee at the last second. He tried to take my knee out and he did a good job doing it."

Philippe Dupuis scored the lone goal for Colorado in their 3-1 loss Friday.

Dupuis is a relatively useless fantasy asset at this point in his career. The goal was his fourth of the season. It came late in the first period off a nifty play in tight space. The goal was unassisted.

Philippe Dupuis was the lone bright spot for the Colorado Avalanche in their shutout loss to Chicago.

The Avs were badly outplayed in this game, managing just 24 shots on the Chicago net. Dupuis led the charge with five of those shots. He also added two PIMs for good measure. Every Avalanche skater except for T.J. Galiardi and Matt Hunwick posted a negative rating.

No Colorado player could find a way to beat Jason LaBarbera Thursday night but Dupuis came close.

With just 8:03 of ice time, Philippe Dupuis managed five shots on net to lead the Avalanche in that category including a chance while shorthanded. The Coyotes went on the power play early in the third period, but the Avalanche had two good scoring chances while shorthanded. LaBarbera stopped Dupuis with a shoulder save and got his left pad down to thwart Greg Mauldin’s stab at the rebound.
