Paul Bissonnette has an assist in three straight games.
This is the first three-game point streak of Bissonnette's career. He's a bottom-six forward for the Coyotes and you'd have to be in a very deep fantasy league to warrant using him. Feb 27 - 11:00 AM

While most of his NHL brethren has chosen to target NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, Phoenix Coyotes tough guy Paul Bissonnette chose to make Boston owner Jeremy Jacobs the subject of his frustration.

"I'm more upset with a guy like [Boston Bruins owner Jeremy] Jacobs," he said in Wednesday morning interview with Sirius XM Home Ice Radio. "It just sounds so hypocritical for him to think the last CBA was so awful and how garbage it was, and then go out and sign three of his top guys right before the last one expired. If it was that bad, why rush to sign those guys? Why not wait until the new CBA comes?" The Bruins signed Milan Lucic, Brad Marchand and Tyler Seguin right before the lockout to long-term deals.

Paul Bissonnette says the lockout has been a "wake-up call" for what he'll do once his career is over.

This is the harsh reminder that fringe players don't always have it so easy when they aren't working. Bissonnette played only in 31 games last year, managing just over six minutes of ice time, so he's smartly been using the down time now to figure out what he'd do without hockey. "It’s kind of a wake-up call as far as preparing for the end of your career, because the fact that right now there’s no hockey as if there wouldn’t be, what am I going to do after that?" Bissonnette said. "I know it’s a question a lot of guys struggle with, and there are a lot of guys who run through their money and they don’t have any on the other end. I’m definitely taking a hard look at that, figuring out some things to see what I want to do on the other end of it."

Paul Bissonnette has reportedly agreed to play for the Cardiff Devils in the British Elite Ice Hockey League.

The Phoenix tough guy had one goal and 41 penalty minutes in 31 games last season. He might get into the lineup as early as this weekend.

Phoenix Coyotes forward Paul Bissonnette's take on how long this lockout could last: "I think everyone's just predicting, but I've heard it'll last a few months, I doubt it'll last the whole year but unless (the owners) are willing to budge, we're not going to play hockey."

Bissonnette added: "I know it's frustrating on the fans' side, and a lot of them say we're greedy and we're spoiled. We put our life dedication into this and not everyone is making a million bucks."

Phoenix GM Don Maloney thinks that Paul Bissonnette should see some more ice time next season.

Bissonnette has little fantasy value but can pick up some penalty minutes when he does get into the lineup. The Coyotes are full on the left wing and let Taylor Pyatt leave through free agency so there will be more of an opportunity for Bissonnette to play. "We need to find a way to get Biss in the lineup on a more regular basis," Maloney said. "So really we were full in that position."

Paul Bissonnette drew into the Coyotes lineup for Game 3 Thursday.

The winger only managed to see 3:02 minutes of action in the loss to Los Angeles as he replaced Gilbert Brule in the Phoenix lineup. He had not played since Game 4 of the first round against the Coyotes. He likely will not draw back into the lineup.

Paul Bissonnette was thrown out of Thursday's Game 4 after his sweater came off during a fight with Brandon Bollig.

Bissonnette's game misconduct only 5:24 into the first period left the Coyotes with only 11 forwards although he likely would have seen less than five minutes of action the rest of the way. Just an FYI.

Paul Bissonnette was a healthy scratch on Thursday.

Just an FYI. Derek Morris and David Rundblad were also healthy scratches for the Coyotes against the Avs.

Paul Bissonnette has agreed to terms on a two-year extension with the Phoenix Coyotes.

The two-year contract extension is worth $1.475 million. Bissonnette will earn $725,000 next season and $750,000 in 2013-14. He has one year left on his current deal at $625,000.He skated in 48 games with the Coyotes last season, while posting one goal and 71 penalty minutes. His "BizNasty2point0" Twitter account is among the most popular in the league, but he doesn't bring much to the table in terms of fantasy value other than his PIM total.

Paul Bissonnette scored his first goal of the season on Tuesday.

It was also Bissonnette's first point in 28 games. He spends a fair amount of time in the sin bin, but he won't provide you with much in any other mainstream category.

Paul Bissonnette would like to evolve his game past being just an enforcer in the NHL.

"Being a five-to-10 goal guy eventually, in that range, that would be awesome, chip in a little offensively and become more reliable on the ice," he said. Bissonnette racked up 117 penalty minutes and five points in 41 games with the Coyotes last season. It is unclear how much action he will see this year, so relying on him for penalty minutes may be risky but he is a player to keep your eye on.

Despite being a healthy scratch Saturday, Paul Bissonnette is proving to be a valuable fantasy asset.

He is clearly the Coyotes' primary enforcer and is tied for second in NHL fights this season with 13. Save for Saturday, Bissonnette has been in the Coyote lineup for every game since December 16th. If you need a penalty minute boost, Bissonnette may be your man.

Paul Bissonnette could be in the Phoenix lineup on Saturaday.

Bissonnette is a fourth line winger who has value only in the penalty minutes category. "I know my role, and I don't really look at the guys or what they thought," he said. "Let's say for instance, a guy like (Raitis) Ivanans (6-4, 250-pound Kings forward), was going to take a run at one of our guys, I wouldn't be shy to ask him (to fight)." He will be a game time decision.
