Look for Jack Skille to get back into the Columbus lineup Saturday.
Skille is likely to return as Josh Anderson was sent to the minors but the Blue Jackets could go with seven defensemen as well. Skille has been a healthy scratch in his last two games. He has five goals and seven points with a minus-14 rating in 37 games so he is best left off your fantasy roster. Jan 31 - 7:57 AM

Columbus has activated Jack Skille (lower body) off of the injured reserve list.

Skille is expected to play on Monday for the first time since Jan. 9. The Blue Jackets now have 13 healthy forwards, so one of them will have to be scratched and Josh Anderson is a likely candidate.
Jan 19 - 12:03 PM

Jack Skille (lower body) might be available for Monday's game.

Nothing has been decided yet though. Skille, who hasn't played since Jan. 9, has two goals and seven points in 35 contests this season. If he does return then that might push Josh Anderson out of the lineup.
Jan 19 - 10:27 AM

Jack Skille (lower body) skated with the Blue Jackets on Thursday.

Skille is projected to rejoin the Blue Jackets towards the end of the month. Before being sidelined, he had two goals and seven points in 35 contests in 2014-15.
Jan 16 - 9:02 AM

Jack Skille (lower body) has been placed on injured reserve.

He has been sidelined since Jan. 9 against Toronto and his initial timetable was set at two weeks. Skille was on the ice for Thursday's optional skate.
Jan 15 - 6:51 PM

Jack Skille will out at least two weeks with a lower body injury he sustained in Friday's tilt with Toronto.

Skille had been playing well for Columbus with five goals, seven points, 16 PIMs, and 86 hits through 35 games so far this season.
Jan 10 - 6:48 PM

Jack Skille (upper body) will be available for Wednesday's game.

Skille left Saturday's contest in the second period after he was struck in the head by the puck. If he plays on Wednesday as anticipated then he'll be able to avoid missing a full contest over that incident. He's projected to play on the third line with Alexander Wennberg and Nick Foligno.

Jack Skille suffered an upper body injury in the second period Saturday and did not return.

Skille will be re-evaluated on Sunday as he took a puck to his head. He really should not be on your fantasy team as he has five goals and six points with a minus-11 rating in 30 games. Consider him day-to-day.

Jack Skille notched a goal in the Blue Jackets’ 3-2 shootout victory against the Blackhawks on Saturday night.

With Kevin Connauton also scoring, the Blue Jackets received goals from two players who don’t normally chip in much on the offensive side. Still, that’s what it’ll take to crawl back into the playoff picture. Skille’s goal was his fifth on the season, to go with six points. Matt Calvert, Ryan Johansen, Fedor Tyutin and David Savard got the helpers.

Jack Skille (undisclosed) returned to action on Friday.

Skille missed four games with the mysterious injury. He had three shots on goal Friday and has three goals in 15 games this season. He is not worth having on your fantasy roster.

Skille might be available on Tuesday, but nothing has been determined. The Blue Jackets have gone three consecutive games without Skille's services.

Jack Skille (undisclosed) should be regarded as a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Skille was on the ice Tuesday morning, but he left before the conclusion of the team's practice. He has found the back of the net three times in 14 games in 2014-15.

Jack Skille (undisclosed) is questionable for Tuesday's contest.

Skille's injury has been described as general soreness and is related to his dive into the boards during Saturday's contest. He has three goals in 14 contests this season.

Finally, after 195 career games Jack Skille now has 25 career goals.

Skille opened the scoring Thursday night with a long twisted wrister midway through the second. Jhonas Enroth should've stopped it, but hey, a goal's a goal. Skille finished with two more shots and four hits. A nice start for the still only 27-year-old forward.

Jack Skille is looking on the bright side after Columbus reacquired him with a waiver claim.

Skille had four goals in 16 games with the Blue Jackets in 2013-14, but he signed a two-way deal with the New York Islanders for the 2014-15 campaign. He wasn't able to make the cut in New York though and was consequently exposed on waivers. "I left things on such a high note with Columbus at the end of last season, and I was actually really bummed that we couldn't figure (out a new contract in June)," Skille said. "I thought I'd make a home there. Who knows, maybe the second time around will work out better." There's certainly that potential given that Columbus is missing forwards Nathan Horton, Boone Jenner, and of course restricted free agent Ryan Johansen. Those three were supposed to represent Columbus' top line, so there's plenty of openings.
