Devin Setoguchi finally scored a goal in the Wild's win over Colorado to end the regular season.

The goal was the first marker for the talented winger in 15 games and turned out to be an important one for the Wild, who needed the victory to qualify for postseason play. He's a risky selection in playoff pools.
Apr 28 - 8:51 AM

Wild forward Devin Setoguchi has not scored a goal in his last 11 contests.

The talented winger scored 12 times in a 23-game stretch through most of February and March, but an injury to linemate Matt Cullen seems to have derailed him. For his part, Setoguchi understands that he and his line mates need to generate more scoring chances in order to be more effective. "We still have a ways to go," Setoguchi said. "We’ve got to create more. Last game wasn’t the greatest, but we didn’t have an easy matchup against [Brent] Burns and [Joe] Thornton and we didn’t give them too much."
Apr 21 - 9:33 AM

Devin Setoguchi has cooled off since Matt Cullen got injured.

He has one assist and four shots in four games without Cullen in the lineup. Setoguchi was red hot before that during the month of March with nine goals and five assists in 15 contests. Setoguchi is trying to develop some chemistry with center Mikael Granlund and he wants to step up his offensive efforts.
Apr 11 - 5:29 PM

Devin Setoguchi potted a goal in Minnesota's 5-3 loss to the Stars on Friday night.

Setoguchi has put together a very impressive month, with nine of his 12 goals and four of his 10 assists on the year coming in March. Torrey Mitchell and Jared Spurgeon recorded the other markers for the Wild. Mike Rupp (10) and Zenon Konopka (14) led the way in penalty minutes.

Devin Setoguchi has credited linemate Matt Cullen for his recent success.

Setoguchi is one of the hottest goal scorers in the NHL at this time with eight goals in his last 11 games and credits Cullen's passing ability and the two really clicking well together for their success. Cullen has four goals and 16 assists this season to tie Setoguchi as he also has 20 points with 11 goals. Both are worth picking up this season if still available in your pools.
Mar 25 - 8:30 AM

Minnesota Wild coach Mike Yeo credited Devin Setoguchi’s physical play for his recent success but the sharpshooting winger disagrees and says confidence has been the key.

"I think 98 percent of the game is mental," he said. "In between the ears is the biggest thing. Playing the right way, believing in yourself, having confidence with the puck, that’s the most important thing." Setoguchi was hit by a car in the summer of 2011, which prevented him from much of his offseason conditioning work before joining the Wild. Injuries limited him to 69 games last season. But he returned ready to go this fall after the lockout ended. And, after a slow start, has caught fire.
Mar 23 - 12:24 PM

Blazing-hot Devin Setoguchi scored two goals for the Minnesota Wild Wednesday night in the team's 4-2 win over Detroit and has five in his past five games.

The left winger didn’t score a goal in Minnesota's first 10 games. He was scrutinized to pieces. Trade rumors swirled. All of that has disappeared now that he has 11 goals in the past 19 games and shares the Wild's goal-scoring lead with high-profile Zach Parise.
Mar 21 - 11:06 AM

Devin Setoguchi scored twice to lead the Wild to a 4-2 win over the Red Wings on Wednesday night.

Setoguchi is on quite a run, with points in five straight games and five goals in that span. After going goalless for the first 10 games, Setoguchi now has 11, tied for the team-high, in his last 18 contests. Mikko Koivu and Kyle Brodziak potted the other markers. Pierre-Marc Bouchard added to assists, and he now has seven of his 12 points over his last four games.
Mar 20 - 10:17 PM

Devin Setoguchi has 15 points in his last 17 games.

Setoguchi started off slowly with only two points in first 10 games, both assists. He now has nine goals, including three on the power play and should be rostered in deeper pools at this time.

Mar 12 - 11:39 PM

Devin Setoguchi registered two assists on Thursday.

Setoguchi has a goal and four points in his last four games. This has been a particularly rough season for him, but he's looked much better as February dragged on and might be worth taking a chance on at this point.

Devin Setoguchi avoided a suspension for his crosscheck on Kyle Quincey in Sunday's game.

Setoguchi was fined $8,108.11 by the league for the high stick under the league's policy for first-time offenders. He has limited fantasy value in most formats, so this is more of an FYI than anything else.

Devin Setoguchi will have a chat with the NHL on Tuesday following his crosscheck on Kyle Quincey Sunday.

Setoguchi received a double minor for the hit and a conference call with disciplinary head Brendan Shanahan. Setoguchi has never been disciplined by the NHL so he could escape without punishment for this incident. Stay tuned.
