Anze Kopitar has picked up an assist in each of the Kings' first two games of the regular season.

He had the lone helper on Drew Doughty's first goal of the year in Friday's 4-2 loss to Philadelphia. Kopitar didn't have a shot on goal in Wednesday's opener versus San Jose, but he was credited with three shots against the Flyers.
Oct 15 - 11:28 AM

Anze Kopitar drew into the Los Angeles lineup on Saturday.

The Kings captain and top forward saw his first action of the preseason as he played and led Team Europe to the World Cup final where they lost in two straight to Canada. Kopitar played alongside Devin Setoguchi but the duo lacked chemistry as they have not played together. Look for another big season from Kopitar who was named captain of the Kings in the off-season. Expect a 25-30 goal season and 70-75 points from Kopitar and draft him accordingly in the fourth or fifth round.
Oct 9 - 8:10 AM

Anze Kopitar will participate in one of the Kings' final two preseason games.

Kopitar doesn't necessarily need to get into an exhibition match after playing in both the Olympic qualifiers and the World Cup, but it will still probably help him get set up for the regular season. Los Angeles is set to play on Friday or Saturday before the 2016-17 campaign begins.
Oct 7 - 10:13 AM

The season hasn't even started yet, but Anze Kopitar has already been very busy.

Kopitar was in Belarus for the Olympic qualifiers before joining Team Europe for the World Cup. He's back home, but didn't practice with the Kings on Tuesday and miss Wednesday's skate too as that's the due date for his second child. "First on the agenda is welcoming a new baby and all of that stuff that comes with it," Kopitar said on Tuesday. "I want to get into the thick of things here. Today, I had a nice bike ride and a good (off-ice) workout. We’ll just see when the baby comes and all of that. … It could be minutes, it could be hours, it could be tomorrow." With all the hockey he's already played, he shouldn't really need much in the way of practices or preseason ice time to prep for the regular season.
Oct 5 - 4:51 AM

Anze Kopitar notched two big assists on Sunday to help send Team Europe to the World Cup of Hockey finals versus Team Canada.

Kopitar had just one point in the preliminary round, but was still doing lots of positive things without the puck to help Team Europe earn a spot in the semifinals. In the semis, Kopitar took on an offensive role, setting up Marian Gaborik in the second period, then Tomas Tatar for the overtime winner.
