Anze Kopitar and Robyn Regehr each blocked five shots on Saturday.

While it's to be expected that Regehr would do so, having Kopitar block five shows his commitment to winning as he is having a tough time scoring this season. The center has 43 points in 51 games but so many came in one hot streak between Dec. 18-Jan. 17 when he had two goals and 13 assists in eight games. Nevertheless, Kopitar was a plus-two in the 2-1 win over San Jose.

Anze Kopitar had a goal in a 3-2 win over Tampa Bay.

It snapped a 10-game goalless slide for the talented two-way center. Kopitar has 12 goals and 42 points in 53 games in 2014-15. That's a pretty good offensive pace, but he's capable of doing a bit better for the rest of the season.

Anze Kopitar and the Kings were shut out by Washington Tuesday by a score of 4-0.

Kopitar, the Kings' supposed offensive leader, was held without a shot on goal and saddled with a minus-1 rating in the defeat. The slumping center has now amassed just one assist and two shots in three contests since the All-Star break.

Kopitar has five points in his last four contests. That's brought him up to 11 goals and 39 points in 45 contests in 2014-15. With Los Angeles fighting for a playoff spot, it wouldn't be shocking if he picked up the pace a touch so that he finishes the season with around a point-per-game.

Anze Kopitar made the mini net passing look easy in Saturday's NHL Skills Challenge Relay, helping Team Foligno to an easy win over Team Toews.

Kopitar needed just a few attempts more than the minimum to hit all four of the mini nets in the passing accuracy event, hitting two of them on the first try. Each team won an overall heat, but Team Foligno won more individual events and had the overall lowest time, giving them a commanding 12-2 lead.

Anze Kopitar collected two assists but it wasn't enough in the Kings' 4-2 loss to San Jose on Wednesday.

The Kings have been struggling but Kopitar has been red hot in the process. He has points in six of his last eight games (3G, 8A). After a slow start fantasy wise, the Kings star center has gotten back on track with a hot December and January. Kopitar has 37 points in 44 games and seems destined for his usual 70-80 point range by season's end. Dustin Brown scored the other goal for the Kings.

Kopitar was back at it Saturday after being held off the score sheet in his last game. He now has points in five of his last six games. The Kings captain has recorded 11 goals and 35 points this season. Kopitar is locked and loaded for a strong second half. Alec Martinez notched the other goal.

After getting off to a slow start offensively, the Kings' center has started producing of late. Kopitar is now riding a four-game point streak. The 27-year-old has 10 goals and 34 points in 40 games this season.

Kopitar, who got a goal and an assist, would only be quiet for so long. The Kings captain is scorching hot with points in five straight games, and 12 points during that timeframe. He's got one more December game left, but thus far he has a cool 13 points in 11 games, which is more in line with what we’d expect from his production. He has eight goals and 25 points on the year. Jake Muzzin and Tyler Toffoli got the other markers.

Anze Kopitar has been awarded with the NHL's first star of the week.

He led all players with nine points and eight assists in three games. Kopitar earned at least one point in each contest, but his week was highlighted by a five-point performance on Dec. 18 against St. Louis. He's had a sluggish year offensively, but he finally appears to be heating up.

Anze Kopitar is a big reason why the Los Angeles Kings beat the Arizona Coyotes 4-2 on Saturday, as he collected three assists.

Kopitar now has eight points in his last two games and nine in three. The OC Register's Rich Hammond points out that he's generated eight assists in as many periods. Overall, Kopitar has seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points in 31 games.

Anze Kopitar set a new career high for most points in a game with five in LA's come-from-behind victory over St. Louis, 6-4.

Three other times Kopitar has recorded at least four points in a game, but on this night, he added a new notch to the belt. Only Dwight King went unassisted by the guiding his hand. Kopitar now sits tied for third with Drew Doughty on the team in scoring with 19 points.

Coach Darryl Sutter switched his lines in practice on Saturday and Anze Kopitar found himself on a line with Dustin Brown and Jeff Carter.

Kopitar is playing the worst offensive hockey of his career as he has only six goals and 13 points in 27 games. Kopitar has led the Kings in scoring, every season since his rookie campaign of 2006-07, a span of seven seasons. We shall see if this move works.
