Anze Kopitar has been nominated for the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy.
The trophy is awarded "to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability." This is the second time in his career that Kopitar has been nominated for the trophy, and he was also nominated for the Selke Trophy this season. The award goes to the league's best defensive forward. This is the third year in a row that Kopitar has been nominated, but he finished second in the voting in 2014 and 2015.

Kopitar deflected home both the game-tying, and overtime winning goals, giving him five goals in two games against Broadway this season. For his career, Kopitar has posted eight goals and 16 points in 13 games against the Rangers. Much to the delight of everyone else on the east coast, we're sure.

He continues to be one of the best two-way players in the game.
