Martin Hanzal provided five of the 26 shots of goal for the Coyotes Saturday night, but none of them found the back of the net as they lost 3-0 to the Ducks.
The silver lining is that this was Hanzal’s most shots on goal since he made six against the Kings December 1st. There is more than one way to rack up fantasy points. Jan 14 - 11:07 PM

Martin Hanzal had a successful return to the Arizona lineup Friday night.

He had missed last Saturday's contest with a lower-body injury but looked fine logging 20:20 in ice time and winning 17 of 25 faceoffs against the Jets. Feel free to activate Hanzal if you need him.

Martin Hanzal (lower body) might be able to resume practicing on Thursday.

Hanzal missed Saturday's contest, which was Arizona's last game before a five-day break. That breather in the schedule certainly came at a good time for Hanzal as he might have missed more time otherwise. As it is though, he should still be regarded as day-to-day.
Jan 10 - 4:09 AM

Martin Hanzal won't play in Saturday's match with the Islanders due to the upper body injury he suffered on Friday.

The long-time Coyote veteran has posted nine goals with 15 points to go along with 37 PIMs and 75 hits. Hopefully he won't be out for long as the Coyotes would likely rather deal the center. He is considered day-to-day.
Jan 7 - 2:34 PM

Martin Hanzal sustained a lower-body injury Friday against Anaheim.

He had two shifts in the third period before leaving the game and he didn't return. Hanzal's status for Saturday night is unclear at this time. He will be re-evaluated in the morning.
Jan 7 - 11:13 AM

Do not be surprised if the Arizona Coyotes deal Martin Hanzal at or before the trade deadline.

Hanzal is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and there really isn't any negotiations ongoing at this time. Hanzal would like to stay with the Coyotes (but what pending UFA doesn't say the same thing about their respective teams) but would be remiss if he didn't check out the market in July. He is injury-prone but the big center is a must for any NHL team. He has eight goals and 14 points thus far in 32 games.
Jan 4 - 7:45 AM

The Arizona Coyotes 4-2 to the Calgary Flames on Saturday, but Martin Hanzal contributed to the cause with a goal.

Hanzal extended his current point streak to three games (one goal, two assists). He now has eight goals and six assists for 14 points in 32 games this season.

Martin Hanzal scored 1:16 minutes into overtime to lift the Arizona Coyotes to a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

The Coyotes must have been feeling a little shell-shocked as they entered their third consecutive overtime. They lost to the Flames Wednesday night and the Canucks on Thursday in those two contests on the back of two regulation losses. This was Hanzal’s third goal of the season and his first since October 27th in a 5-4 victory over the Flyers.

Tue, Nov 15, 2016 04:09:00 PM

Coach Dave Tippett is hoping that Martin Hanzal (lower body) will be back in the Coyotes lineup Wednesday.

Hanzal has been out of action since November 1 so a return will mean a two-week absence. Hanzal has only four points in nine games thus far but the injury-prone center is capable of doing better. Hanzal should get 40 points in 65 games this season as he will likely be hurt at least once more.
