Rob Schremp has accepted a tryout with Florida's AHL affiliate.
He will try to stick with the Portland Pirates after playing the last four seasons in Europe. Schremp played in Sweden, Latvia, Austria as well as Switzerland and he's excited to be back in North America. "It's my dream to play in the NHL, to just play in North America," he said. "I think playing Europe makes you gain a little appreciation of what's back here, what you maybe took for granted when you were here. It would be an honor to be able to come back, be with my buddies again. It's my goal and I'm pushing hard for it." He has 20 goals and 54 points in 114 career NHL appearances Sep 9 - 6:11 PM

Rob Schremp is reportedly going to play overseas next season with MODO of the Swedish Elite League.

He registered 13 goals and 13 assists in 63 games with the New York Islanders and Atlanta Thrashers last season. Schremp has been unsuccessful at the NHL level over his 114-game career, but he is just 25 years of age and will likely try to return at some point.

Rob Schremp was a late scratch for Atlanta on Sunday with concussion-like symptoms.

He recorded 13 goals and 26 points in 63 games with the Islanders and Thrashers this past season. Schremp has no fantasy value.

Rob Schremp had a goal and registered an assist in the Atlanta Thrashers 3-0 win over the New York Rangers on Thursday night.

While the Thrashers are out of contention, they dealt a huge blow to the Rangers' playoff chances. New York now has one game remaining and sit two points up on the Carolina Hurricanes for the eighth spot. The problem is...the Hurricanes have two games remaining and would surpass the Rangers if they won both. As for Schremp, he has 13 goals and 13 assists this season.

Rob Schremp had a night to remember on Thursday.

Schremp was playing against his former team, the New York Islanders, for the first time since Atlanta claimed him off of waivers. Schremp went on to score the game-winning goal at 13:56 minutes of the second period. "It feels good to contribute in the game," Schremp said. "Everyone knows the scenario. I was happy to contribute, but it was a team win." It was a great game for Schremp, but he still doesn't have any fantasy value at this time.

Rob Schremp will center a line between Evander Kane and Radek Dvorak against his former team, the New York Islanders, on Thursday night.

He has spent the majority of his time at right wing since being claimed off waivers by the Thrashers. Schremp has only one goal in nine games with Atlanta, but the team is giving him a chance to stick it to his old organization with a bigger role.

Rob Schremp scored his first goal with the Thrashers on Wednesday night.

Atlanta claimed him off waivers from the New York Islanders on Feb. 28. Schremp logged just 8:02 of ice time against Carolina in the contest. Its' unclear where he fits on the Thrashers moving forward, but he isn't worth a spot in your fantasy lineup at this time due to his limited role on the club.

The Atlanta Thrashers have claimed Rob Schremp from the New York Islanders.

The Thrashers also added Radek Dvorak via a trade on Monday as they try to squeeze into the playoffs. Schremp has 22 points and a minus-19 rating in 45 games this season.

The New York Islanders have placed Rob Schremp on waivers.

Schremp was a nice story for the Isles last season, as the once highly-touted prospect seemed to have finally found a home in the NHL on Long Island, but his play this season has regressed. The talented forward has recorded 22 points and a minus-19 rating in 44 contests this season. It's expected that he will be sent to Bridgeport of the AHL if he clears waivers.

Rob Schremp potted two goals in the Islanders' 5-3 win over the Senators on Saturday night.

The two goals snaps a five-game pointless skid for Schremp. The 24-year old has yet to put together a consistent point-producing season. However on Saturday night, he established a new career-high in goals with nine, and with 21 points so far, he is on pace to eclipse his career-high point total of 25. Michael Grabner and Frans Nielsen had a goal and an assist each in the win.

Rob Schremp will be a healthy scratch against the Washington Capitals.

The Islanders are welcoming back Kyle Okposo (shoulder) and Frans Nielsen (groin) to the lineup for the contest and Schremp has drawn the short end of the stick for now. He has 17 points in 30 games this season for new York.

Rob Schremp will make his first return to Edmonton in a New York Islanders uniform on Thursday.

Schremp was waived by the Oilers before the start of the 2009-10 season and was picked up immediately by the Islanders. Schremp has seven goals and 14 points in 23 NHL games this season and will definitely be looking to make a statement on Thursday as he wants to show the Oilers management that they made a big mistake in releasing him. It should be an interesting game for Schremp.
