After blocking a shot off his foot Friday night, Goc will have to sit out Saturday. He is listed as day-to-day and Penguins coach, Mike Johnston, believes the injury is not too serious. Andrew Ebbett was called up from the AHL and will take Goc's place centering Zach Sill and Craig Adams. Pascal Dupuis (blood clot) and Beau Bennett (LBI) continue to be sidelined.

Center Marcel Goc (ankle) seems poised to make his series debut on Saturday.

Goc was inserted into the Pens' fourth line during the Pens' practice on Friday. The Penguins and Blue Jackets meet for Game 5 in their playoff series Saturday. "I feel good," said Goc, who was acquired from Florida at the deadline in exchange for draft picks. "We’ll see if coach puts me in or not." Goc skated on a line with left wing Tanner Glass and right wing Craig Adams Friday morning. He said such a grouping should be a disruptive force against the fast and physical Blue Jackets. "If we can chip in a goal, I think that would be a big help for the team," said Goc, who missed the final nine games of the regular season because of a foot injury. "But be physical, be hard to play against and get the other team off their game." Goc had 11 goals and 12 assists in 62 games for Florida before being acquired by the Penguins at the deadline. The German-born center had no goals and two assists in 12 games for the Penguins before suffering his injury.

Marcel Goc (ankle) may not be able to return to the Penguins for the start of the playoffs.

Goc suffered a foot injury during a game last Thursday and is definitely out for the remainder of the season. Penguins coach Dan Blysma admitted to feeling fortunate that Goc was only out for three weeks since the injury looked worse to him. With Goc out of the lineup, the Penguins are using forward Jussi Jokinen at center. He has been almost exclusively at left wing this season but has a history of playing center. Jokinen started between wingers James Neal and Beau Bennett against the Blue Jackets Friday night.
