Marcel Goc will be a healthy scratch for Game 4 Wednesday night versus the Minnesota Wild.
Goc played in under 10 minutes in each of the first three games of this series and with the Blues trailing the Wild 2-1, head coach Ken Hitchcock will adjust his lineup in hopes of a spark. Goc played in 74 games during the regular season and was only able to tally three goals and six assist. Chris Porter will replace Goc on the fourth line Wednesday night. Apr 22 - 5:21 PM

Marcel Goc scored his first goal as a Blue after cleaning up a wild scramble in front of Marc-Andre Fleury's net, tying the game at two in the second period. The Blues would go on to win 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday night.

Goc also contributed a block and two hits while winning 71% of his draws in 10:31 of ice time. Goc has recorded just three points in 23 games with the Blues, so don't look to him for offensive production.
Mar 25 - 1:06 AM

Marcel Goc will get back into the Blues' lineup on Tuesday against Pittsburgh.

He'll get to play against his former team after being scratched for the past four games. In 22 games this season with the Penguins, Goc has two assists and 24 shots.
Mar 23 - 3:32 PM

Chris Porter, Robert Bortuzzo and Marcel Goc will be healthy scratches in Sunday's game against the Detroit Red Wings.

None of these three players have any fantasy value going forward. Carl Gunnarsson will be out of the lineup because of an injury suffered on Saturday night.
Mar 22 - 12:05 PM

Marcel Goc, Chris Butler, Petteri Lindbohm will each be scratched versus the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.

Unfortunately, each of Goc, Butler and Lindbohm leave much to be desired in terms of fantasy value. While Butler and Lindbohm suffer mostly from a lack of playing time, Goc's skill set as a fourth line center simply doesn't translate over to fantasy.
Mar 19 - 7:41 PM

Marcel Goc will be a healthy scratch Saturday against Minnesota.

He will give way to Patrick Berglund who will dress in his place. Neither Goc nor Berglund really has much fantasy value so this roster decision should not really matter much to you.
Mar 14 - 12:55 PM

Marcel Goc and Chris Porter will be scratched versus the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

Unfortunately, there simply isn't much fantasy value here between these three players. Simply put, neither Goc nor Porter have made significant impacts for fantasy purposes.

Coach Ken Hitchcock thinks Marcel Goc will fit in nicely on the team's fourth line.

"This allows us to have the two guys that play there be hunters and then we have a guy that's backing up the hunting and playing that 'in-between-the-dots' role that we think we need from that position," said Hitchcock. Goc is slated to play between Ryan Reaves and Steve Ott after he was acquired from Pittsburgh in exchange for Maxim Lapierre.
Jan 29 - 1:35 PM

The St. Louis Blues acquired Marcel Goc from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Maxim Lapierre.

Goc has just two goals and four assists for six points in 43 games played this season. He does bring speed on the fourth line for the Blues. He spent parts of three seasons in Pittsburgh.
Jan 27 - 10:45 PM

Marcel Goc will be back in the lineup Wednesday night against the Chicago Blackhawks.

After being a healthy scratch Tuesday night against the Flyers, Goc will be back on the fourth line Wednesday. The Penguin sent down forward Bobby Farnham to the AHL, creating a spot for Goc to fill in the lineup. In 41 games played this year, Goc has just two goals and two assists with a minus four rating.

Marcel Goc and Andrew Ebbett will sit out Tuesday's tilt with the Philadelphia Flyers.

If your pool rewards faceoff wins and hits, then Goc is a good player for depth as he has just four points and 36 shots on goal through 41 games this season. Goc has 51 hits and has won 54% of his faceoffs with 224 wins overall. Ebbett however has no value to speak of.

Jan 20 - 6:50 PM

Marcel Goc will return to the lineup and center Pittsburgh's fourth line versus Montreal on Saturday night.

After missing Wednesday's game due to illness, he'll skate between Zach Sill and Craig Adams. While none of the three offer traditional fantasy value, Adams does have 82 hits in 35 games this season, Sill has 43 PIMs and 63 hits in 26 games, and Goc has 43 hits while winning over 54% of his faceoffs through 37 games.
