Andrew Ladd scored a pair of goals in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Washington Capitals.

Ladd got off to a terrible start with his team, but he's finally showing signs of life. He's now picked up three goals in his last two games. Ladd didn't come away with a game-winning goal tonight, but both markers gave his team the lead (2-1, 3-2). The Islanders forward has seven goals and three assists in 34 games.

Andrew Ladd still believes he can succeed as a member of the New York Islanders.

Ladd has just five goals and eight points in 33 games this season. "I don’t think it has anything to do with this place," Ladd said. "As hockey players, we have short-term memory and you don’t have time to dwell on anything that’s going on. It’s a reset every day. It’s a fine line between grinding yourself and keeping your confidence, too. It’s a bit of a balancing act." The Islanders need to hope Ladd can get back on track because right now the seven-year, $38.5 million contract they signed him to over the summer is looking worrisome.

Andrew Ladd scored a goal in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Ladd opened the scoring just 2:14 into the first period. The Islanders also had 2-0 and 4-3 leads in the game, but they were unable to hold on. Ladd finished the game with a plus-1 rating, six shots on goal, one hit and two blocked shots in 16:39 of ice time. He has four goals and three assists in 29 games this season.

Finally, Andrew Ladd as a point streak this season.

Andrew Ladd had an assist in the Islanders' 5-3 victory over Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

It was just Ladd's fourth point in 22 games this season. Ladd has been a huge disappointment so far this season and to make matters worse for fantasy owners, his role has been declining as a result. Even though he got an assist on Wednesday, he logged just 12:29 minutes of ice time. Keep an eye on him because a big rebound is possible, but we wouldn't go so far as to call it probable at this point.

Andrew Ladd is going through some profound struggles.

Ladd has attempted three shots over his last three games, and none have hit the net. He didn't even have an attempt on Friday against Pittsburgh. For the season, Ladd has one goal on 57 shot attempts and just 29 on net. Yikes. If you're still hanging onto the veteran winger, we'd cut bait.

Andrew Ladd found the back of the net for the second straight game.

The Islanders dropped a 4-1 decision to the Lightning tonight, but at least appears to be trending in the right direction. He opened the season with no goals in his first 12 games as an Islander, so the team will be encouraged by his recent performance. Johnny Boychuk picked up the only assist on Ladd's goal.

Andrew Ladd scored a goal in the Islanders' 4-2 victory over Vancouver on Monday.

It was Ladd's first goal in 13 games with the Islanders. He's struggled mightily so far so it will be interesting to see if he can bounce back now that he's moved past that first marker.

Andrew Ladd has not found the back of the net for the Islanders.

Well he did score in preseason but that doesn't count. The prized free agent signing had 46 points last season between stints in Winnipeg and Chicago but it was thought that this season would be a return to the 60-point mark as he was expected to play with John Tavares. That has happened but the scoring hasn't and he is starting to press. He has only one measly assist in eight games and while we would keep him in the lineup, he certainly has given no reason to do so.

Andrew Ladd scored in Wednesday's 3-2 preseason win ver the New Jersey Devils.

The goal was Ladd's second of the exhibition season and it was scored on the power play. Ryan Pulock and P.A. Parenteau picked up the helpers on Ladd's marker. Ladd finished the game with a minus-1 rating, four penalty minutes and a shot on goal in just over 12 minutes of ice time. He'll likely be one of New York's primary point producers this season.

After signing a $38.5 million deal today, Andrew Ladd's says he wants to take the Islanders to the 'next level'.

"I think any team with John Tavares on it and the goaltending and the defense that the Islanders have, they're very close," Ladd said. "I'm looking forward to the challenge with helping this team get to the next level, and that's a Stanley Cup." Ladd could record his first 30-goal season on a line with John Tavares next season. Even if he doesn't reach 30 goals, look for Ladd to push for 70 points this season.
