Andrew Ladd registered two assists in the Islanders' 5-4 overtime loss to Nashville on Monday.
Ladd has three points in three games since returning from an upper-body injury that cost him most of January. This hasn't been a particularly good offensive season for him overall though as he has nine goals and 21 points in 45 contests. He's only a few years removed from his 62-point campaign with Winnipeg, but at this point he doesn't have much fantasy value. Feb 6 - 5:51 AM

Jan 29 - 3:59 PM

Andrew Ladd (upper body) won't join the Islanders on their upcoming three-game road trip.

Ladd has missed five games so far due to the ailment. While this new development suggests that he will miss at least another week, there's still a chance that he'll meeting up with the Islanders before they finish their trip.

Andrew Ladd (upper body) resumed skating on Wednesday.

Ladd has been on the sidelines since Jan. 5. We doubt his return is imminent given that he just started to skate after nearly two weeks off the ice, but it looks like he's making progress.
Jan 18 - 10:13 AM

Andrew Ladd has not skated his suffering an upper body injury on January 5.

The winger has been a disappointment offensively since the Islanders signed him in the 2016 offseason. He has nine goals and 18 points in 42 games this season after only 31 points in 76 games last year with the Islanders. Consider him day-to-day.
Jan 15 - 8:02 AM

Jan 6 - 10:14 AM

Andrew Ladd registered an assist in the Islanders' 4-3 overtime loss to Pittsburgh Thursday night.

Ladd has seven goals and 14 points in 28 contests this season. It's not ideal production out of him, but at least it's an improvement from 2016-17 when he finished with a disappointing 23 goals and 31 points in 78 games.

Andrew Ladd found the back of the net in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Flyers and Islanders played two split-squad games tonight. The Isles won this game, which was played in Brooklyn, while the Flyers won the game played in Lehigh Valley. Ladd's first year in New York was disappointing, as he scored 23 goals and just 31 points in 78 games. Expect him to be a little more comfortable now that he's entering his second year with the Islanders, but that might not translate into more fantasy success.

The Islanders did not ask Andrew Ladd to waive his no-move clause.

Ladd will have to be protected in the expansion draft as a result. He played the first season of his seven-year, $38.5 million contract in 2016-17. Ladd produced just 31 points in 78 games in his first campaign with New York.

Andrew Ladd had been playing through a nagging injury for the first few months of the season.

That might explain why Ladd struggled right out of the gate in 2016-17 only to get better as the campaign went on. Now that he's adjusted to playing with the Islanders and he'll presumably be healthy going into 2017-18, it'll be interesting to see how he does next season. He'll be a good buy-low candidate going into drafts.

Andrew Ladd scored his 20th goal of 2016-17 on Wednesday.

It was a critical goal too as it came midway through the third period to lead the Islanders to a 3-2 victory over the Rangers. This is the fourth straight campaign that Ladd's reached the 20-goal mark or sixth consecutive season if you are willing to not count the lockout shortened 2013 campaign. What's different this time around though is that usually Ladd provides helpers and goals at a roughly even rate, but in 2016-17 he has just eight assists.

Andrew Ladd is projected to play alongside John Tavares on Wednesday.

It was originally projected that Ladd and Tavares would spend the season largely on the same line and while things started out that way, Ladd struggled out of the gate and the two ended up being separated. Ladd has gotten better as the season has dragged on, though not to the extent that he's everything the Islanders had hoped for. He has 19 goals and 27 points in 67 contests this season.
