Yann Danis played 13:44 in relief of starting goalie Keith Kincaid. Danis allowed one goal on three shots, for a paltry .667 save percentage. The New Jersey Devils recalled Yann Danis from the AHL.

He's being summoned from the minors because starter Cory Schneider suffered an injury in Friday's loss to the Dallas Stars. Schneider is considered day-to-day. Don't expect Danis to see too much action in his absence.

The New Jersey Devils assigned Yann Danis to AHL Albany as part of their latest round of training camp cuts.

Like most players that are cut this early, Danis wasn't likely to make the team anyways. Being a veteran netminder though, he does stand out more than others. He has 53 NHL games worth of experience, although his last game at that level was in March of 2013. Even still it wouldn't be shocking to see Danis called up at some point this season due to injury-related circumstances.

Yann Danis has agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with the New Jersey Devils.

Danis can earn $575,000 annually at the NHL level. That being said, he's an organizational depth goaltender that will likely only be called upon in the event of an injury to either Cory Schneider or Keith Kinkaid.

Edmonton has called Yann Danis from the minors.

The move was made after Nikolai Khabibulin was surprising placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Danis played two periods against San Jose earlier this season in relief of Devan Dubnyk and he stopped all 14 shots he faced. He should get some more playing time with the Oilers during this call-up, but how will depend on how long Khabibulin is sidelined for.

Yann Danis has cleared waivers and has been reassigned to the minors.

The transaction probably means that veteran Nikolai Khabibulin will be activated and serve as Devan Dubnyk's backup on Wednesday. Danis' only appearance of the 2013 campaign came in relief of Dubnyk, during a 6-3 loss to San Jose on Jan. 22, when he turned aside all 14 shots he faced in two periods of work.

Oilers waive G Yann Danis.

Danis has been backing up Devan Dubnyk as Nikolai Khabibulin recovers from a hip injury. Khabibulin has been closing in on a return and waiving Danis likely signals the return of the Bulin Wall. Expect him to be activated at some point before Wednesday's game against Phoenix.
